AWESOME IDEA!!! Almost every video I found was how to fix the hinge, but the band that goes across the top of the head is what’s broken on mine. Thanks to this video I now know exactly how I’m gonna fix my headset! Another huge tip that’s helped me with projects like this & countless more is get yourselves a Dremel & look into the massive amount of attachments you can for them. I highly recommend the corded Dremel 4000 or better. They have the most versatility & will adapt to any attachments the company makes & it can be used on plastics, wood, metals, or pretty much whatever else you can think of. Dremel also makes a cordless battery powered rotary tool that’s handy for when you don’t have access to a plug in, but they’re not as powerful & the battery doesn’t last very long before needing a recharge, & it won’t accept as many attachments as the corded 4000 will, but it’s still handy to have for those rare moments though. Easily one of the top 3 handiest, & most used tools I’ve EVER had!!! They’re not expensive either... I probably should’ve led with that... 🤷🏻♂️ Ahh, who’s gonna read this far anyways. ✌🏻
@@boyfoster1 I did end up doing this to my headset but I used 2 headbands on mine, one on the inner side & one on the outer. I also used a few more zip ties, one every inch & a half but instead of pointing the ends of the zip ties rite at my skull I pointed them all straight back. I never did put any fabric or anything over them though. I am gonna put a piece of thin craft foam from Walmart on the inner side so I got a little cushion between the zip ties & my skull cause after a short while it feels like I have a ball cap on & someone is keeping constant pressure on that button that’s top center on the cap. Overall though it holds on my head Waaaaay better now than it ever did new!
I must be missing something, I watched the whole video I don’t get what was done here. Mine broke right in the middle but it is all together, it just bends, but I can still use it pretty well, it just won’t hold on to my head the same as before, but with a little adjustment of the ear cups it stays in place and no significant sound bleeding
No I ended up buying suede and sew it around, I used some kind of material that you would find inside your pillow it's kind of cotton. That was it wouldn't hurt when wearing the headset.
@@n377vj oh okay I’ve broke my Ps gold headset right down the middle would u advise using the plastic headbands or a bendable metal? Have u had any problems with the plastic like how does it feel?

Mine "ps gold headset" also broke in two pieces. Never again sony headphones for me.
Как поменять аккумулятор и оголовье на наушниках Sony wariles gold? Есть где то статьи или видео уже все облазили не можем найти
Genius
Watching this video after just fixing mine(temporarily) with a disposable wooden spoon and some clear tape 😂
How did u put the fabric back on? Did u just glue it

@@ekh4452 if you can find bendable metal I would recommend it but the headbands do work well, try using some thick ones
This is the worst idea ever, I'm gonna use it
