every single sony accessory is made with planned obsolescence in mind, it's not an accident that they break often, its by design, I've remade my sony headsets with a 3d printer and metal parts and they are never gonna break, OEM parts are intentionally weak
not gonna hold trust me, the force just gonna transfer to the next weak point and it's gonna break from there, you have to spread the tension to the whole band without any focused point. i prefer a metal sheet with the OEM head band sandwiched by a shrink tube.
I hate those headphones so much i have 3 breaks in them and i need to clue them like every other month how can anyone design something so bad. they are comfy but thats about it.
