I like the fact that you do neutrals and people should remember they can use whatever color they choose so you do what you do best and just remind people they can use whatever color of paint they choose to and thank you for doing the neutral color that’s what I prefer also.
I agree and will usually do neutrals but occasionally cater to those who like color❤️🙂
It is a blessing to do crafts with your grandchildren. I do it with my great grandchildren

Lisa, I have found some really pretty silver plate pieces in thrift stores. I thought twice about painting them, because they are listed on eBay for quite a handsome profit, but there is so many of them and they don’t seem to be moving very quickly. So, I just don’t think twice about painting them. They are just so pretty painted! How special to craft with Shiloh! Building some very special memories! These are all lovely, but I am partial to the coral colored one, simply because that is one of my favorite colors. God bless you! Enjoyed this video so much.

I just did a small one. I glued a bird figurine it had a chip on the tail so I covered with flowers and feathers. I added florals, a bow, pearls, and little eggs. I glued it to a painted candle stick. I dry brushed the fancy edge of the silver plate. Turned out so cute!

I have painted a couple of silver trays and added transfers. They turned out lovely. But before I painted them I put Slick Stick on them. I was afraid the paint wouldn’t do well. Thanks for showing me I didn’t need that extra step. And you know I love anything with French script. The serving spoon nest was so cute. I “might” be going through my stash now to see what I can work on next that involves silver. Have a wonderful evening.
I occasionally use slick stick on silver but more often than not I just clean them well. I’m sure that yours will turn out beautiful my dear friend❤️🙂

These trays and things are so very beautiful. Do you think they could be used at a wedding shower? I know you put on a sealer but I don’t know if that would be enough. I wouldn’t want to put on doilies because that would cover the beauty. What do you or anyone reading this know the answer? ❤

I have several tarnished silver plate platters on the shelf in my craft room (for about 10 years) because I couldn’t imagine painting it but if it never makes it off the shelf what’s the point? Gonna try this.
That’s true. Just make sure they aren’t real. Real silver usually is marked either 925 or sterling.😉❤️

These are items that are made to serve food on. After painting them are they still food safe? Can you wash them after use without ruining them?🤔
This doesn't seem very practical if they can't be used anymore 🤨
These are decor only at this point but they can be washed with warm soapy water.

I only paint the silver pieces that are scratched or beyond saving. The embossed pieces are so pretty and it is a way of keeping them in use. I love my polished pieces also and find they add so much beauty to a wall that has no architectural interest. And, of course, dress up any table.
