The Micro-Scale Irrigation Program in Uganda: Improving Farmers' Livelihoods

The Micro-Scale Irrigation Program in Uganda is supporting smallholder farmers to develop their own irrigation systems for high-value crops and as a consequence, improving livelihoods. Since the program initiation in 2020, 45,000 farmers have joined the program, 2.4 million USD have been raised in farmers contributions, and 1,000 farmers are now irrigating. By 2022, all districts in Uganda had farmers developing irrigation with support from the Program. Watch to learn more about this Program and the stories of beneficiaries.
