2009 was also an awful year for RAW. The Guest Host era was an odyssey of verbal pain.
Bob Barker was a great host for RAW.

2019 raw was terrible but 2009 raw 2017-2018 raw was just unwatchable
2019 put me off wrestling for years, i came back to it in autumn of 2023. everything inbetween seems to be the worst

Bro I watched WWE religiously from 2008-2016. In 2016 I started to tune out but watched the big shows and kept up to date with what was happening. Tried to get back into WWE in 2019 and my god like you say, put me right off. I vaguely kept up with what was happening but it was in 2022/23 that bought my attention back more. However what really did it for me was Punk’s return in November and the whole Cody v Rock and Roman saga leading up to WM 40!!
Similar stuff. Watched from 06 to 09 then 11 to 13, but I decided to tune in cos Punk was back and have been following loosely. WM looked great and with Vince gone I've been following everything post-mania

The end of 2023 for AEW was really good in comparison to the end of 2022. You had the whole Punk All Out stuff still going, MJF not being a solidified main guy, Saraya being the "revolutionary", the TNT championship stuff.... it was all very mid. In the end of 2023 for AEW you had great ideas that were executed poorly for the most part and some amazing matches and a really good storyline [ Hangman and Swerve ]
How can you forget timeless toni storm or roderick strong’s NECK STRONG gimmick.
@@cliffordjackson3 I said for the most part. Timeless Toni Storm is an amazing character and Neck Strong Roddy was by far the funniest thing in the MJF - Adam Cole storyline post All In.

The worst thing about WCW’s dying days may have been their stupid final logo. What even was that supposed to be? A weird starfish? Great way to promote the brand with a logo design nobody can actually read.
I paid to go see World's End at Nassau last year. It was my first live wrestling PPV ever. It was also the first time I walked out early at a show. I was on the balcony when the lights went out, and Cole was revealed as Satan or whatever.
It was a rushed bullshit story, which ruined a great summer of "better than you babay" as buildup to a rivalry that was never going to happen right away because MJF is really hurt.
A year ago, I'd have gone on and on about how Vince and WWE wouldn't have any idea what to do with MJF and how he needs to stay indie for now. That couldn't be further from the case today. I think HHH would give MJF the spotlight he needs to be the best heel in the world.
Once Raw went 3 hours, the writing was on the wall. The guest host era was bad but it was at least still watchable.
Tbf Jeff Jarrett even said that the six sided ring was a bad thing and the bumping on it was horrible and if I'm correct I think Angle also agreed with Jeff
every GD person on the planet was in nWo at one point...

Simon, in 2021 i finally cracked and stopped watching wrestling for a while, but the funny part is i could watch Ups and Downs for Raw, and it would save me the pain of having to sit through an episode.

@@perryco34 02-03 is absolutely the best smackdown era, but i'll always have a soft spot for 09 smackdown cause that's when i first got into wrestling. punk vs hardy and jericho vs rey were some of the first storylines i remember watching play out on TV and i was absolutely fucking HOOKED
We found the attitude era casual. 2001-2010 has some amazing stuff. now after that is when it’s goes bad.
2018-2019 Raw was so awful. Like I wouldn't even bother tuning in because it just pissed me off because of how bad it was. I'll give 2020 a pass because it was a weird time, but God damn I don't miss anything about that time.
I stopped watching wwe in 2019. I remember I had slowly started watching less and less wrestling by 2019 however after that awful bray Wyatt and Seth Rollins hell in a cell match that ended in a dq I completely stopped watching and didn’t get back into wrestling until 2022 with the bloodline Sami zayn storyline.

When TNA went to Destination America & then Pop Tv, it was at its lowest period. Once Magnus was champion, then guys like Cage & Mike Elgin were in the main event.

2002 was a great year, like 2006 but they had some questionable, controversial angles.
The Monday night raw era that Simon talked about was pretty bad… But it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as the guest host era

WWE in the 2010s was so up and down because the first early years was terrible although I do think 2013 and 2014 was where things were picking up and then the mid part of it was great but then the latter half was just terrible. WWE 2010s was a legit line graph going up and down

WWE needs more weird shit. That was my favorite part of wrestling from the 90s through to the mid-00s. The character wrestlers. The outlandish gimmicks. The strong kayfabe. The showmanship.

Meh, I'd say Dynamite's worst era is unfolding rn, the show is lackluster from start to finish and lacks starpower.

2023 would be worst era only if 2024 would have been a considerable improvement but they're still colder than ever and product still feel random combination of matches. Bit 3 debuts have made no impact and Mone/Okada have already feel diluted by their presentation

08-10 TNA is not the worst run of the company, and I'm sick of pretending it was.
Roman Reigns being champion 2021-2024...was the worst! Boring matches, consistent interferences and everything pretty much being predictable.

AEW is terrible right now. There’s hundreds of belts, thousands of wrestlers, no storylines, and random matches. There’s great talent on the roster and they’re being wasted. If Tony Khan wanted to save his company, he’d hire a real booker, but he’s too stubborn.

NXT 2017 was the weakest era of the Black and Gold days
The main event scene of the show was lacking with guys like Samoa Joe and Shinsuke being moved to the main roster, Roode and McIntyre’s title reigns weren’t particularly memorable (even though Roode was super over with his GLORIOUS character) and they couldn’t capitalize on their most interesting feud in Gargano and Ciampa initially because Ciampa was out with an injury for a year

Attendance and ratings dropping like crazy , bad booking(well...don’t suppose it was ever good) Tony’s fragility snapping at anything that dares criticizes him or his show , and his inability to book stars or create any. Any stars from AEW were either stars before or got over despite his booking.

WWE being the most hot it’s ever been , constantly breaking records , fans roaring loudly with every show, wrestling being the hottest it’s been in years, ya wanna tell me WWE ain’t getting the viewership they haven’t been getting, no they’re not because they are greatly exceeding and blowing it out of the water. While AEW can barely fill half an arena if that...and what do you mean viewership’s barely changed, they’ve been having record lows.
