You know, Japan is a monolith. They don't want this stuff in their games or the manga or anime or books. Everytime it happens, there's a massive backlash against it. It's the country that will stress kill you over work, they don't care.
Gays hate them, lesbians secretly hate them. the quote of "all the support you get is 2 faced and half hearted" is a truth for a reason. Straights also hate them, because most lie about it and hide it, then get murdered for a betrayal. Also, it's not a fear. It's a hatred, big difference, because you're basically saying "you have to be afraid of them".
Japan doesn't even have gender or pronouns (hence the male daughter thing) in their language or culture. They only have sex and biological realities, whether a certain group likes it or not. And that's not gonna change, seeing as how Japan is a collectivist hivemind of "work or die", literally.
And something that is THOUSANDS, if not more, OF YEARS OLD isn't going away for someone small % of the populations feelings. This fighting stops when acceptance happens but that's divinely so impossible. That's just reality.
