How to Repair a Broken/Detached Book Spine

Here's a book I purchased on Amazon with the intention of flipping that showed up on my doorstep with a broken spine. The book was supposed to be in good condition, so I reached out to the seller to return the book and get a refund. They decided to refund my order and for some reason they didn't want the book back.
So, can we repair the spine with an adhesive book binding glue? And if so, would it be unethical to flip it on Amazon? Let me know in the comments below.

@@jojidavenport did you have to cut your book to reach that part? My spine is detached from the pages but not open like yours was in the video. Im wondering if I can stick a brush in there to get the glue in. I wanted to ask before i accidentally damage it further

@@TatianaBelieves I did for this book since the spine was almost completely detached already. You don’t always have to do that though. But it can be tricky sometimes to get the glue into the crack if the spine is mostly still attached.

Ironically it's actually better when they are completely detached. It makes it easier to spread the glue. When the book is only partially detached, it becomes tricky to distribute the glue in the correct places lol.
