A recurring theme in all of these episodes is how the cops and the prosecution think it is so very unfair that the defense can match them in resources. They hate that, since they are used to trying their cases in front of public defenders, who either don't care, or work with such limited resources that they go out of their way to get their defendants to plea to a lesser charge in order to risk conviction because they are hopelessly outmatched by the prosecution. Think about that. This is what it is like to be poor in America. If you get charged by the police, you are going to prison. These cops and these prosecutors can't stand that they had to play on a level playing field because these defenders could match them dollar for dollar.

No, its simpler than that. OJ got off because the majority of the jurors were black. Nothing Johnny Cochran and the defense said made any sense. Looking back, the defense never disproved any of the evidence. The "jury" already had a preconceived notion as to how they were going to vote.

I lost all respect for Darden for a lot of things but what sealed the deal was when he said Simpson had well financed attorneys.
California spent 16 million dollars prosecuting Simpson and lost.
It sounds like Darden is saying well it’s not fair we are only use to prosecuting people who can’t afford to defend themselves.

The prosecution thinks OJ threw away the knife at the airport and that he had given his clothes to Robert Kardashian at his mansion in the bag that Kardashian was seen taken from OJ's house. Maybe OJ forgot about the socks or thought they were fine because they were a dark color and probably didn't see the small specks of blood due to that reason. The glove at Nicoles was probably pulled off during the struggle with Ron and the other glove OJ probably dropped when he was climbing over the fence by Kato's room on accident. They never thought he threw away his clothes at the airport, just the knife. Since Robert Kardashian is dead only he and OJ know what was in the bag that Kardashian took from OJs home.

The physical evidence was conclusive: Simpson’s blood was dripped at the murder scene; a cap with hairs matching his was found next to Ron’s and Nicole’s dead bodies; one of Simpson’s large leather gloves was lying between them; and the matching glove, still holding strands of the victims’ hair and stained with their blood and Simpson’s, was found outside his house. Size-twelve shoe prints, slightly pigeon-toed, were clearly stamped in the victims’ blood, at the murder scene. Simpson is among the 9 percent of the population who wears size-twelve shoes, and he is pigeon-toed. Those shoe prints made an impression that was matched to one sole in the world-a Silga sole, manufactured at the Silga factory in Civitinova Marche, Italy, for the upscale shoemaker Bruno Magli.
(Plaintiffs lawyers in the civil trial found pictures of Simpson wearing Bruno Magli shoes with the identical soles.)
Simpson's white Ford Bronco, parked outside his house, contained not only Simpson’s blood but Ron’s and Nicole’s, and a shoe impression consistent with the Bruno Magli stained the carpet on the driver’s side. A trail of Simpson’s blood was dripped up his driveway, into his house, and up to his bedroom and bathroom.
Planting of that blood was out of the question-because, just like the blood at the murder scene, it was found long before police investigators had taken any blood from his arm.
Simpson had cuts all over his hands the day after the murders but had no explanation for how he got them.
His socks were lying on his bedroom floor, spattered with his blood and Nicole’s. Blue black cotton fibers consistent with a dark sweatsuit were found at both the crime scene and in Simpson’s home, linking him to both locations.
Rare carpet fibers of the type used in his Bronco were found at the murder scene. His blood, his cuts, his clothing, his gloves, his shoes, his car, his house, his ex-wife’s blood, Ron Goldman’s blood . . . all pointed to O.J. Simpson-and to no one else.
No bizarre or speculative theories about individual pieces of evidence, such as the defence proposed, could possibly overcome all the evidence. Or even the strongest pieces of it.
There is no logical explanation that accounts for the evidence, no explanation acceptable to a reasonable, objective person, except that OJ Simpson killed the victims. He is guilty. Case closed.

Unforgivable all the evidence they didn't put in yet spent weeks on dna the jury threw out anyway. In the Civil case it was clearly & easily Spoon fed explained in a paragraph what dna is & it works. Also helps that judge refused to allow the race card to be played come on ojs own bff Robert Kardashian gave Barbara Walter's an interview saying he had " doubts " b/c of the lord evidence. This guy was a lawyer in name only on the defense. He was there just to babysit Simpson as an old friend he had to renew his law liscense & I read he also did this to avoid being questioned by the d.a. their was something Shapiro had said to him about him possibly being charged. Some speculate he may have as a friend at the start who believed his old friend certain things that were illegal. Point is he dropped oj & I guess was being polite & careful as am attorney on the case even though he never really did anything never even asked a question but him saying the blood evidence made him have serious doubts tells u he knew it wasn't planted & he also said that as well he never believed that crap . Blood matching the defendant‘s was found at the crime scene, in- and on his car, on his driveway, in his house and on his socks in his house. Furthermore, an imprint of Mr Simpson‘s expensive and rare Bruno Magli shoes was found at the crime scene. The defense is trying to divert your attention away from these facts. There can be no doubt that the defendant is guilty of savagely murdering his wife and her friend, and it is your duty to deliver your verdict based on this irrefutable evidence“. • @blue-calla
      @blue-calla 2 ปีที่แล้ว

ICYMI, this series doesn’t show the whole trial. Clearly, you didn’t watch the whole trial, look at the evidence, or learn about EDTA. If you did, you’d know that the defense’s witnesses’ claims about EDTA were debunked and were forced to admit that not only was EDTA still used in food, it is found in the French fries and Big Mac that Simpson ate approximately one hour before the murders. They admitted that the samples in question did not contain a level of EDTA that was close to levels from a purple top tube. And admitted that EDTA could not be identified from a presumptive test and the identification test was inconclusive, meaning it could not even be EDTA at all. And Reiders admitted to lying about falsely quoting an EPA article about EDTA levels. And admitted that another witness was hired by the defense to conduct another ID test of the samples for EDTA (Ballard) but chose to not have him testify as to what the results were.
Further, Dr. Rieders (defense forensic toxicologist) testified at the civil trial in 1996, admitting during cross-exam "this might not be blood from a purple top tube" (EDTA) and that the results could be false positives as Martz would later demonstrate. The claim of EDTA on the sock coming from Nicole‘s reference vial was conclusively disproved by Dr. Cotton who showed the DNA in the reference vial was more degraded than the DNA on the sock, proving it could not have come from that vial. And the glove found at Rockingham never tested positive for EDTA.

    1. I'm sure OJ did it.
    2. The cops/prosecutors was so used to no one having the resources to question their half-assed way of doing things that they were stunned when someone finally did.
    3. I don't think the cops planted anything but the manner they went about conducting the investigation and the manner the evidence was collected was such shoddy work it allowed it all to be questioned.
    4. The prosecutors made several major mistakes. They used Fuhrman, they did the stupid glove testing, they acted like they had a slam dunk case and in 99.99% of the time they probably would've had against a normal defendant but now they were up against someone with more resources then they did and who questioned everything they had done.
