Why can't I do that??? It makes me want give up on the guitar...sometimes. My brain is not wired for improvisation, it seems. That was absolutely beautiful!
Improvisation is a lot about reproduction, but on the fly. Like talking. Since music isn’t most people’s mother tongue, it’s a life long process, I’m always just on my way to the next step 😅 just keep doing it as often as possible and try to have fun as often as possible 😃
@@SvenJungbeck I understand that intellectually, but it can be frustrating because progress comes so slowly. I often compare improvisation to conversation and learning another language…which I have done, I speak fairly fluent Japanese since I was about 19. I studied hard when I young, but the key was constantly practicing. With guitar, I just don’t get much opportunity to “speak” it. Thanks for your encouragement.
We often , dont give the basics their fair share of importance (ex: we never run licks/phrases/chords through all the 12 keys, or we dont practice our triads and arpegios enough ) 1 if you re not familiar with the key terms of Guitar , then you lack knowledge , 2 start slow and always be attentive to what you do . 3 what he does isnt impossible you just have to develop a solid approach to your learning . (Because there are manyconcepts out there you should discover , and choose what you like best ) 3 when you learn theory always apply it to the blues because its the easiest way to start
I have been working on this tune for a month or two. Thanks for the ideas. I have been approaching it from a Barry Harris point of view because of the G# in the first phrase being a b6th. It is interesting to hear it with a more Gypsy style. I have been a big fan of yours for a while and I was very happy when this popped up because of my subscribed bell notification. Thanks so much.
I've been following you for few years now and I think you really improved your play, especially regarding the quality of your sound and the maturity of your solos' construction. Well done !
One of my very Jazz favorites to listen to and to play.. really nicely done Sven!✨ Lots of nice tasteful guitar runs that you played. And hey is that your new guitar you're playing? I believe you had said in a video a while back,, yoy got a new gypsy guitar? It's a very nice guitar, I love the wood grain finish! Have a blessed Sunday🎸🐦
Black orpheus has a mysterious, romantic vibe. I love this song, and you rendition makes it even more wonderful! Thank you!
Absolutely this. There's a meandering slyness to the song and Sven nails it - like the song's lying to you but doing it beautifully.
Excellent! Wow, love this one.
8 fingers and 2 thumbs up!!
Einfach traumhaft ❤ Herzlichen Dank Sven
Grandissimo Sven, bellissima interpretazione
