- Removed the prone to fail hydro fan on my auto jzx90 cresta with a manual Jzx100 koyo radiator and Supra 2jz water pump and clutch fan setup.
Also did a refresh on the front seals of the motor and replaced all of the timing components.
Thanks for watching

Great video, thanks so much for information! And I recognized that blanket sitting on your engine immediately lol my wife and I snagged a few from a mil hospital ourselves.
I don’t even remember where it came from but it’s nice and thick lol. If you have any other questions feel free to ask them, i try to film the things that I wished was on YT
Man thanks for the info! I got an auto X90 Cresta tourerV as well. I was planning to go this route and stumbled on this vid doing research. Will be following for any future info.
Awesome glad I’m able to help, if you have any questions feel free to ask
Appreciate the video mate, My rad in my 90Mark II Tourer V went crack somehow haha. This was good to learn for when i install a 100 Rad and trans cooler
Hi again . Checking out your part numbers for the fan set up. Is this 2jz gte fan clutch and 2jz gte fan blade you have ? I have 2jz gte fan and clutch but the fan blade was too close to the rad . And burst it on me 😢
Yes
Had to do this on a jza70r, changed the water pump to a 2jz
It’s the best thing to do for reliability
toyota discontinued part no. 16711-46240. however i was able to get part no. 16711-46210 instead. it does not have the reservoir as shown in this video so i'm holding onto the original and coming up with a custom mount (probably zipties for now) to mount it
Damn that’s a bummer if they did that. This was the perfect conversion
Hello . Excellent video . Did you have air conditioning issues after removing the hydro fan ? I did this swap on my own car. I struggle to get heat in the cabin now and my AC is not working to well either
Absolutely 0 issues In az or ca 110 heat, I actually used to have issues before this with not getting good heat and it was caused by my rad and system being gunked up, I did like 3 flushes before this install. As far as ac it’s always been great super cold no issues in any weather conditions.
Make sure you have a rad shroud, make sure your ac system is working properly and flush your system really good until it’s fully clear water coming out then bleed and refill with Toyota coolant
came for the NA shroud glad to see it worked, i'm currently buying all the shit to swap my Tourer S Chaser into a V. did you end up sticking with the stock NA coolant overflow tank? i was looking to get an aluminum one off of RHD because the OEM plastic tank mounts are discontinued.
Yea I kept it exactly how it came with the coolant overflow built into the shroud. Has worked great for me
@@AlenGarner awesome thank you, saves me $140 from not upgrading lol.
@@ushad your welcome, I prefer it as well it’s simpler and more sleek than running a different one. Don’t forget to subscribe ❤️
@@AlenGarner do you think a MKIV supra shroud would fit?
@@timnmarylinder compare the radiators and see if the mounting points match up as well as the height and width. Toyota is weird with stuff that looks so similar but worn fit.
You wouldn't happen to have the automatic radiator for sale by any chance?
Radiator no I sold it, I do have the hydro fan still tho
Can you run a 90 radiator with the clutch fan setup or do you need a 100 radiator as well?
You can run a 90rad with this clutch fan setup just don’t know if the shroud will fit. If it doesn’t fit you will definitely want to figure something to else to work.
Could you possibly put part numbers for everything you got brand new in the description I’ve been looking to do all this maintenance on my jzx90 cresta as well

what kit do you have on the car?
