My E520s (non pro) has the same issue with just descending whenever a little bit of wind is present. Apparantly it has insufficient power to hold altitude and position at the same time with any wind when the battery is half empty.

To be fair, I have an e520s (non-"pro") and not only does it have an SD card slot (which works perfectly), but it will easily hit its rated range. It's also surprisingly good in the wind, competitive to the original Mavic Mini for wind tolerance. I've taken pictures with it at 250 feet AGL (it's a software-forced altitude restriction) in high wind, and they had no blurring at all. The video on it, admittedly, is just awful. But the photos on it are fairly good, especially after being edited in post-production.
How did you bypass the altitude limit? And did you have to supplement the antennae on the drone or controller to go higher? The video on my e520s was pretty terrible until I got the SD card to work (you have to use a high speed SD card) but I ordered a pro and did not realize that it was missing the SD slot, that’s pretty frustrating.
Just bought this drone a few days ago (before seeing this video) and I absolutely regret it... it has all of the problems discussed in the video... here's hoping I can get my money back!
I have had the 520s for 12 months and have no trouble at all it is faultless and easy to fly my range would be at least 200 metres but I have extended the ariel which is very easy to do search for how to extend range. Of eachine drones it really works

Mine works fine and also has a micro sd card. Are you sure you are testing the right model?! As far as I can see ALL e520s models will take a micro sd card. You seem to be very unlucky. You should return the item and askfor a replacement as there are plenty of other TH-cam reviews which show this drone works well. It is good value for money.

are you sure this drone doesnt support micro SD cards? it says on the eachine website that it does. Also the eachine 520s (not pro version) does support it so i cant imagine why the more expensive pro version would not.

It is a cheap toy which barely look like DJI Mavic Air. From inside it is made from same scheme as similar WiFi GPS toy quadcopters with control from phone for like last 6 years already. I wonder if it even have brushless motors.

@@TheDShow so i tried mine out... i noticed one propeller wouldn't idle at start. it only spun when i dialed it up to go up slightly. and then it wouldn't level. it kept going up then down up down then hits the ground then up :0 i also coudnt find a way for my android phone to link to it. the eachine teac app just says "hover/lock" and no video feed. there isn't a 'start' button i can see as stated in the manual. so sad.
My 520S )non pro) drone has a similar rapid-descent issue, but it occurs whenever the drone is pointed into a headwind. I tested the theory over a dozen times and it happened EVERY time. As soon as I rotated it to "face" the headwind, the decent began. I could recover if I could rotate it to face anywhere but into the wind. I'm stumped.
I want a drone that has all the features of this drone, has a decent range, and the camera in the drone shouldn't lag when the video is received on the phone, But I want a drone under 200$. Which drone do you recommend?

Can you next time please choose a 2.4 Ghz if there is that option? It's all 5G nowadays. If it's a present for a kid they may not have a 802.11 ac phone.

I’ve had mine for about 3 months now and have yet to get it off the ground. I’ve followed every direction and other videos. Over it!
