Here's another easy way to improve your KD: Don't insta skip to the spawnscreen, give medics a chance to revive you!
you are absolutely right. there were many times I waited for last seconds and a medic came out of nowhere and revived me.

Gates000000000000000 COD is part of my issue. I use to play it all the time years ago up until BO2. Then I got into BF about a year and a half ago again. So I try to sprint and run and gun way too much. It'll be the first to admit it's all wrong for this game but it's a old habit that's hard to break. I just need to slow down be more cautious and focus more. Theirs simply too many people to be sprinting around in this game. The more your move the more likely you are for someone to spot you and shoot you.
Same here!This is my first bf series that I have tried to be good at I've always played CoD but now CoD is not good any more so I went to bf and man is it different!
i happen to rush a lot in battlefield, the infinite sprinting mechanic has left me just rushing in, killing an infantry and have a nice death afterwards.
Jack ripper same here. It's crazy when I started playing BF4 and 1 o did great but then I got cocky and started sprinting and of course you run out in the open boom your dead. I just have to focus more an slow the hell down and focus more on the objective.

K/D ratio is most important in game modes like TDM... In Conquest and Rush, it is important to kill more than you get killed but it's just as important to play the objectives...
to improve your KD ratio it's simple : spend your life in the heavy tank on ops mode and you will do easily 50killstreaks :=D
RandyOnTheBattlefield I did 54 on a match till they finally decided to gang me at the very end of the match. The airplanes is a good way too.
RandyOnTheBattlefield ugh i hate camping tanks in operations. they only worry about their kd and getting a stupid amount of service stars. plus those tanks are needed to push objectives, so they're not available to do so when they're being using to camp

You forgot to mention: Wait for a revive and do not instantly skip when you are down.

Good Lord! @ 0:45 Whenever that happens to me, I always manage to get the first and maybe second guy before the rest turn around and gun me down. Gotta be bad luck always playing against squads that efficiently communicate and say "Guys! Behind You!"
Yeah, not dying is something I need to work on. I almost always have the most deaths in my squad. I grew up playing Halo multiplayer so I have a hard time sticking to cover and stuff.
Journeyman John that's a poor excuse for sucking. As a halo player you should be used to aiming at the head and using that same strategy will get you quick kills against better opponents in bf1
Someone has clearly never seen me play Battlefield before. Between a skill rating of 262 and accuracy rating of .25 I think I'm doing alright. Oh, and I have 243 headshots. Never said I sucked.
Journeyman John yeah that's not that great for skill, and for your accuracy and headshots, if you're sniping then that's mediocre at best and really the headshots don't mean anything depending on how long you've played for. Your score per minute is probably the best measure of rating, the fact you brought up headshots shows you're a noob
Well my score per minute is 598, lol. You're right about the head shots though. I've only played about 33 hours myself. I already know that my skill starts are average but I'm definitely not a noob. You should probably find something better to do though. Professional troll is not the best career path.
Don't worry about it too much. Just play to have fun man. You will improve. I find it that if you think about not dying too much, it takes the fun out of the game. Learn from each death you take and adjust your tactics. I usually die a lot in this game too as well, and don't take it personally if you do. Try to stick with your squad or your blue teammates as much as possible as there is strength in numbers, you might learn from them. Support them and they will support you. Battlefield is a different animal from Halo or CoD, you can never go at it alone.
Void getting tunnel vision. People tend to get too focused and can only see if their is an enemy directional in front of them. They miss so much that goes on near the edges of the screen.
Got Change? I changed my FOV and it helped a little but you still have to focus on the right things.

Actually it is good to take objectives, but if you can't hold one and get killed all the time, it's kind of pointless lol... I finished a match 53-19... I was #2 on the leaderboard... I took 11 flags and defended 8... I also gave out the most ammo... We still lost by 200 tickets... I looked at my squad's numbers and they were 3-28, 11-26, and I think the other 2 were in the range of like 8-12 and 5-11...
Support class has many gadgets help to improve KD , like airburst mortar fires at enemies trying to capture flag especially in operations game mode .
I stopped caring about my KD ratio a long time ago for any game. Just found it ruining my experience. Not saying it's a bad thing because those who do have a high KD and have gotten it legitimately, very impressed.

It just takes time. You aren’t gonna master sniping I a couple hours. I finally decided I was gonna get good at sniping, after years of not using it because I sucked at it. Now after about 25 hours of sniping over the past few weeks I’m getting it. Just use whichever vehicle you’re best with every couple of rounds in between so your kd doesn’t go down the shitter.
So to get a better k/d, lie on the ground and camp, spawn camp, don't try and revive people. Very good.

Thanks for the video, feel like I learned some stuff. Been playing a little more than a month, checking in with a .30 K/D lol. Medic main, spent a lot of time running around like a madman with no regard for enemy position for those revives.
if you want to improve your KD, all you need is practise
if youre playing Battlefield and you care about youre k/d, youre playing the wrong game
+the reckoning, there;s a difference between a guy with 1-45 and has 10000 points compared to a guy with 45-1 and has 5000, there is a reason why KD doesnt matter in battlefield but tips exist incase people do care and bring the habit from other games, such as COD, or rainbow six siege

I played a game lastnight everyone on my team were snipers sitting back in the corner of the map not one would even go and try get an objective this is what cod has done to gaming it's angering
While the right kills like clearing an objective are very useful you do not need kills to capture an objective - the kills can be done by other people you help out as a medic or support. And yes people who only care about their k/d in modes like Operations or Conquest should go back to Rainbos Six Siege or CoD. Team death match is another matter ...
Ooh for fuck sake here we go again... The whole 'Go back to COD' argument it's so fucking lame like seriously can't you people come up with something else for once? I've been playing Battlefield since the first Bad company game and never touched a single COD game. Yet I care about my KDR stop being so narrow minded you simplistic fuck. Just because you like the way you're playing doesn't mean we all share that same vision. I'm currently at 4.51 KDR and yes I play the objective now how does that make you feel? The whole 'I play PTFO so my KDR is bad' is just a stupid excuse for people that have bad performance..

This isnt COD
Yup, definitely use every piece of cover. I think the most important part though is to be aware of where the enemies are going to be. I use a headset so I can hear footsteps really easy as they move and I know where players like to usually hide in all of the maps. Also, I constantly mash the spot button when Im looking for enemies, I might spot someone I didn't see. The scout class is great for awareness because of the flares and their 1hk weapon, if I know where you are before you see me chances are that I'll win the firefight.
Another important tip is to not skip the revive. I never skip when I'm down, if I see a medic nearby, even if he's 20 meters away I'll even wait for them. Chances are that they do want to revive me, but it's too dangerous at the moment. There have been too many games where I see players insta-skip when I'm a medic and usually they have 10+ or even 15+ deaths and are near the bottom of the scoreboard.
One thing you did not mention is stay with the bulk of your team. Wherever the most of team is go there. If you go solo or just your squad and run to take a objective alone you may run into multiple squads and your dead.
Don't take bad spawns - if you see a squadmates surrounded by red dots on the map it's probably not a good idea to spawn on them.

i watch all you're videos and they re all very good and in depth and explanatory and i have to say i was slightly disappointed at how quick and short spoken this video was i was expecting much more from the machine seeing as you have a very high KD compared to most
but i do love all you're vids and feel i learn a ton just from watching you play keep it up!maybe you can do a part two for more advanced tips for more advanced players I'm a level 55 and just got the game on xmas so I'm still learning a lot but consider myself a good player so it would be nice to have an advanced tips on this video
Also... Don't be like me. I get too focused on trying to get the weekly medals. Don't chase medal objectives thinking you'll level faster if you're not that skilled. You'll just end up dying a lot.

I think map knowledge and learning how the majority of the average player plays is one of the best tips to getting a good kd. My kd is 3.5 n spm is 1200, although tin honesty these stats don't even mean much especially on battlefield

try hit and run mid range. Kill one, dont look for other enemies, just immediately find cover and run to a different spot.

Console play seems so different to pc, it just looks like console people don't look around as much and they're always just strafing around watching angle
NoobApproved I play on PC and PS4, and I've noticed that people are generally more aware on PC, harder to pull the mega feeds. I think it's because people find the thumbstick less precise than the mouse so they tend to look as little as possible to save their aim if that makes sense? That's just what I think though so I'm probably wrong.

I only find it hard controlling the righht stick while also shooting with my finger on the same hand, i overshoot constantly and make small jerk moves while shooting, especially while sniping. I play with sensitivity 36...

you forgot the biggest thing of all; think before you spawn, and communicate before you spawn (if possible) .. if I'm playing with randoms with no mics I more often than not will spawn on a deployment or object, instead of squad mates. Thats the absolute biggest mistake I've seen noobs make over the last few battlefield games. Im currently level 92 on BF1 with a 3.15 KDR and a 1,027 SPM
In BF4 I was ashamed for my K/D ratio ( occasional player), so I was in lower part of the table. In BF1 is my ratio 1:1 but somehow I am in the top 10, thanks to the score/objectives. But hey.. sofar I have played only 5 round of this game :D

at the start of the video, can anybody tell me what's the point of that stand below the rifle ? When i was using this gun my solider wouldn't even use it he used it as a handle which is quite bizarre to me and it looks pretty uncomfortable to hold a gun this way

I personally don't care if I go 5/15 in a game. As long as I'm trying to cap bases and resupply or heal or revive my team mates, I'm happy. Also u don't follow enemies.... I run from them :p

After watching your vids, I have come to the conclusion that you are playing against noobs or on a console. On PC, it is really easy to get just annihilated. Some of the players you are killing don't even seem to notice that you are there.
