Thinking about you and your family. I’m in recovery mode too after an accident. I’ve struggled with how to ink my pens. I hadn’t thought about using cartridges - great idea! That will make me able to add a few pens to my rotation this month until I am more mobile. Thanks for the video.

I’m still watching hehe commenting as I go along, so I don’t forget…. the custom by Just Turnings is gorgeous! Also you said it just as I thought it about how the Birmingham Pen Co inks flow so well. I have one TWSBI and it’s been inked a few times and it hasn’t been until Robert Oster Romeo and Juliet that I can say I want to reach for it all the time. I find it so fascinating how different inks can make or break the experience of a pen for me…

I'm glad your husband is getting better. I hope it continues to go smoothly. I have the Jane Austen MB and it is quite a large, hefty pen. I have larger hands and prefer bigger pens. Anyway, I wondered if you'd seen the Retro 51 Pride and Prejudice fountain pen and rollerball that came out a couple of weeks ago. Their fountain pens tend to run slimmer and smaller. I am not sure it would have the same meaning for you, since it's not directly Jane Austen, but thought I'd mention it.

Yes I thought the Jane Austen pen had beautiful details, I loved the colours of it, the writing on the cream/ivory part of it, the way the gold cord tied around the cap, but it was just wasn’t for me. It wasn’t even so much the size of the pen but more the weight of it I guess. I’m glad you are enjoying yours though 😊 Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I tried Karen's Jane Austin at the recent peen meet-up; a beautiful pen but weighty. I also tried her "Baby" out a while ago and feel in love with the nib. How do you find the Sailor MF nib on your PG Mini? Mine is closer to an EF. Good idea keeping things simple.

Yes the MB Baby is such a beautiful little pen, wonderful writer. I got mine with a medium nib and do not regret it. The Jane Austen, although lovely, was just not for me and I’m glad that I got to see it in person before committing to such a big purchase. The Sailor nibs run incredibly fine. You are right in saying that the medium fine is more like a western extra fine. I do like their nibs though, great for writing in small spaces like the Hobonichi.
