This is so refreshing to me after having left this religion after years of believing this was the truth. I’m now a Christian. I was just told by a JW that we Christians are aggressive and should be gentle.
I was raised a Jehovah Witness if you ask a question they can't answer their supposed to redirect you to a new question as part of our training sorry let me rephrase that their training
To a Samaritan woman, Jesus described the type of worship that individuals must give to God. Their worship must be based on spirit and truth. Indeed, “the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him.” (John 4:23, 24) Yes, reverent adoration should be expressed only to God. To render worship to anyone or anything else would be a form of idolatry, which is condemned in both the Hebrew and the Greek Scriptures.-Exodus 20:4, 5; Galatians 5:19, 20.
Now Clay, who is getting agitated. “Love is long-suffering and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, does not get puffed up, does not behave indecently, does not look for its own interests, does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury. It does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. 1Co 13:4-7. It does not seek the applause and admiration of creatures. The person having love will not push another person down to make himself appear greater.
“I AM the Divine One and there is no other God, nor anyone like me; the One telling from the beginning the finale, and from long ago the things that have not been done.” Isaiah 46:9, 10 Jehovah said "there is no one like him" and also said "lets make man in our likeness".
The Bible says he is a god. Among other mighty ones called “gods” in the Bible is Jesus Christ, who is “the only-begotten god.” But he himself plainly said: “It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.” Luke 4:8. Jesus said "No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is in the bosom with the Father is the one that has explained him." John 1:18.
dan theman instead of trying to argue about the divinity of Jesus some people need to try to read the scriptures carefully. The Bible does not support the trinity doctrine. Jehovah is the only almighty God. Jesus is the son of God. The Bible sometimes refers to someone with power as a God. Even Satan is described as the God of this world 2 Corinthians 4:4. Jesus only prayed to the father and he told his disciples to pray to the father only. Worship the father in spirit and truth. He even admitted the father is greater than he is. This suggest that Jesus is not only inferior and not equal to the father but that he does not form part of a trinity. The man in this video is an apostate who is either intentionally or intentionally deceiving listeners. Gods name actually appears more than 7,000 times in original manuscripts which says God wants people to know him by his name. Jesus said in prayer, I have made your name known. If a religion does not teach or talk about God’s name, they can’t be true. Gods name is YAHWEH. In English it’s Jehovah. I don’t listen to anything people like him say but just putting Down way is true. He is but an apostate. True Christians (JW) are no part of this world. That’s also how I know they are true.
@@nsr5961 Please point out a scripture where Jesus told his disciples that God's name is Jehovah or YAHWEH. It doesn't mean that's its not His name. When Jesus said in prayer, I have made your name known it is that they may know the nature of God, His character, His reputation, His qualities, His love. All the qualities that Jesus has are the same qualities that the Father has and Jesus declared it to his disciples.

dan theman Jesus is speaking to a powerful spirit creature who is called the Devil in Luke 4:8 and at this particular point, Jesus recognizes that he has been born as a human in the flesh. (it’s obvious that no spirit creature would ever bow down and worship a human person.) John 3:31 John the Baptizer mentions that the one who comes from above is above all. ( we know that all angels comes from above and the devil himself is a spiritual creature that onces was from above and who had rebelled against God ) But now John the Baptizer make a distinction to those who are from above and refers to Jesus as to the One who is from Heaven is above all. Jesus replies to The Devil that it is only to the ONE how has created all things deserves to be worshipped. As mentioned in John 1:1 When the clouds lifted up Jesus to heaven , he’s transformed back into spirit life as the God who created the heavens and the Earth and it is the one that the devil must worship. You mentioned that Jesus said that “no man has seen God,” so who did the Prophets seen? ( Moses in Exodus 33:20 Isaiah in Isaiah 6:1 Ezekiel in Ezekiel 8:4 Daniel in Daniel 7:9 and the Apostle John in Revaluation 4:1-11)
NS R Jehovah is not his name. You’re being deceived by the Jw God name is universal and it cannot be translated, so it must be migrated from Hebrew. No one has the authority to change the Tetragrammaton YHWH as found in Scripture 7000 times. English is trying to transliterate the Holy Name but is unable to because the meaning is not intact as the original. Read it in your new world translation of the holy scriptures in the explanatory article in the back section “The name of God” The Bible tract society admits that no one knows how to pronounce the name of The Creature.
I am not sure what Mr. Jones considers "worship", but one worships God by how they live their life, being obedient and appreciative to their Creator. Exclusive devotion. By growing in our relationship with Him. That is exactly what JW encourage.
God gave us the ability to think, weigh matters, make decisions, and know right from wrong. Thus, free will was to be based on intelligent choice. We were not made like mindless robots having no will of their own. Nor were we created to act out of instinct as were the animals. Instead, our marvelous brain was designed to work in harmony with our freedom of choice. We are like GOD with these god given qualities, but no one not Jesus or otherwise are equal to Him in his Almightness.
Of Jesus, John 1:3 reads: “All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence.” Logically, it was to this firstborn Son that Jehovah said: Gen 1:26 “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness.” All these other created things were not only created “through him” but also “for him,” as God’s Firstborn and the “heir of all things.”-Col 1:16; Heb 1:2.
I researched this. & unfortunately even in the kingdom interlenear greek text. In colossians 1:15-17 the word [other] as it Is read in the new world translation reference edition & Later put with out parentheses in the newer world translation, the word other does not exist in the original text.... Read galatians 1:6-9 there is no other gospel! In Jesus name🙏
Worship of god is not confined to going to a place of worship. In involves ones whole way of life, in everything we do. I would talk to you at any time, problem is i am in Australia. By the way the question you as is such an easy one to answer, but from my experience the answer is far beyond the trinitarian world view of what the the word god means in the original language. My experience is that those who believe in the trinity have a narrow world view or understanding of what the word god meas and that stops them form understanding what God meant when we speak of only One True God. To the ancient readers and writers the words we translate as God/god did not mean God/god. The ancient words had the meaning of *"mighty one",* and in Scripture is used to refer to mountains, cities, men, angels and of course to the various objects (things and individuals) that received religious type worship. of all the those, there is only one individual that has the right to truly receive "religious type worship". When the Bible speaks of only one true God it is always in relation to the god that is to receive "religious type worship". The JWs that have answered you about Moses are on the right track. Unfortunately the quotes you uses are incorrect. In the Hebrew it does not say that Moses will be like a god to to Pharaoh . In both Exodus 6:16 and Exodus 7:1 the Hebrew reads וְאַתָּ֖ה (and you) תִּֽהְיֶה־ (shall become) לּ֥וֹ (to him) לֵֽאלֹהִֽים (as God) The American Standard Bible read "and thou shalt be to him as God". The one True God who alone is to be worshipped assigned Moses as a god (a mighty one) over Pharaoh. So in this instance Moses was a true god, or a true mighty one, but Moses was not The True Mighty One (The True God) Jesus is a true god in that he is a mighty one, but Jesus never ever received "religious type worship" that belongs to the One True God. Jesus rightly received proskuneo - an act of showing honour and respect as a person in a superior position. (It is such a shame that just about every Bible mistranslated that word on occasion (including the NWT)
When God said that there was "no other God besides me" the context of Isaiah is talking about gods that receive religious worship. Satan is a false god because he is worshipped. As far as Moses is concerned The Hebrew does not say "like god" A *literal direct translation* of Exodus 7:1 is "and-he-is-saying yehovah to moses see-you I-give-you god to-pharaoph" So Bibles that add the word "like" are adding into the text what is not there and changing the meaning.
Technically you asked more than 1 question. You asked many questions to work up to the one 'special' question. Surprised the Jehovah's Witnesses didn't catch that. Haha. Good method. Questions help people think for themselves.
Hello dear sister, I myself was searching for JW material that I have not seen before and notice you were recently on hear despite this video being 6 years old... Bella Garcia , Who called Jehovah the only true God? It wasn’t the Jehovah’s Witnesses, like he claims , it was Jesus himself at (John 17:3) And yet the Bible refers to Jesus and a mighty God at the same time, so the truth is, is that Jesus must view himself as A lesser god( John 14:28)(1Corinthians 8:5,6) This man is trying to play word games ,and semantics with all of us, .We all know that words can be used in many different ways! For instance the word “”president”” can be used to described the most powerful man in the world! Or it can be used to describe a president of a company! So just because we acknowledge that there is a president who is the most powerful in the world , does not make all other presidents, in all their different capacities, not valid ,or true presidents! just as the word of God in the Bible can be used in different capacities, for instance the Jews were referred to as gods at Psalms 82:6 , That did not make them all mighty God, and that goes without saying, Just as we know that the president of Apple is not the President of the United States! this man is trying to pigeonhole you into thinking there’s only one interpretation for the word of God , which is a falsehood! There can be many uses of the word God (1st Corinthians 8:5,6)
@@Summersblues1 the point is that their own Bible scriptures contradict othed scriptural verses. They have removed some and changed some words even tho in Deuteronomy it said that nothing should be added or subtracted. They cherry pick scripture to fit their teachings, and worse yet many times take what they are saying out of context, not reading the before or after verse which can completely change the meaning.
m smith , Do you have first-hand knowledge of that or are you just repeating what you’ve heard?? Let’s examine them together ! what are some of the scriptures did you say the witnesses removed??? And which person were you with when they did not read the context, I want to see if these are real situations you have been in or just things that you have heard?
@@Summersblues1 no, not just things i have heard. For starters i pioneered (full time ministry in 60's) Over the years there have been many changes in teachings as they call it "new light" we are suppose to accept this without question, even tho the Bible KVJ (I no longer use NWT) in The Acts 17 v 11 says regarding the Bereans, "These were more nobel than those in Thessalonica, in that they recieved the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so". The Bible says to search but it has gotten to the point the org. wants to do the thinking for us. We are suppose to only read their literature. We are not suppose to go to outside sources. So then how are we to know if it really is "the truth" as they say it is? Many of us questioned and thus were found to be of those that were not to be associated with so we were considered apostates, disfellowshipped and shunned. All for questioning. Jesus would never have shunned. If you had gone to WT studies, or have magazines, in reading the study article, read that scripture in the paragraph and then go to your Bible, the scripture quoted is not the full verse,(thats what those ... ... mean) and many times can be used to mean somethingelse if you hadn't read the before or after verses for full context. This has been done on many occasions. One Bible scripture that has been removed that you are probably familiar with is (John chapter 7 vs 53) JOHN ch 8 vs 1 thru 11 Their revised 80's Bible had footnote, but their 2013 revised has completely removed it. This is regarding the adulterous woman being brought to Jesus by the scribes and pharisees regarding the Law of Moses and stoning to see what he would say, in which v 7 he said, "he that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her". Just because they felt this wasn't in the original manuscripts doesn't mean it should be removed. All of us know this IS one of the things Jesus would have said. I am not here to argue any points one way or the other. I made a statement, A question was asked, i gave my answer, Peace to you all. 💖&🕊
God said: “Who is this that is obscuring counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up your loins, please, like an able-bodied man, and let me question you, and you inform me.” Job 38:1-3 Through questions, Jehovah then drew attention to his limitless wisdom and power as demonstrated by his wonderful works. This enlightenment helped Job to trust in Jehovah’s judgment and way of doing things as never before. What an awe-inspiring experience for Job-to be questioned by Almighty God himself!

It is not arguing, it is called discussing. A person who's job it is to identify counterfeit money, studies and learns what real money looks like. After you knew what real money looked like, you could recognize a counterfeit. Similarly, when we learn how to identify the true religion, we can recognize those religions that are false. Like counterfeit money, false religion has no real value. Next time JW's come knocking, open the door and your heart.
At the 7:30 mark or thereabouts, Clay Jones quotes Isa. 44:6 which reads: "This is what Jehovah says, The King of Israel and his Repurchaser, Jehovah of armies: ‘I am the first and I am the last. There is no God but me. " Clay then gives us a red herring and says there are no "Capital letters" in Hebrew and the verse does not say "no.. Almighty God." So according to Clay's reasoning, there is no other GOD (capital or not) other than Jehovah! Therefore, if Jesus is called God, he must be the true God, Jehovah! Sounds air tight....... until someone who actually KNOWS Hebrew brings out the FACT that the Hebrew word translated God in Isa. 44:6 is ELOHIM! The verse literally says, "THERE IS NO ELOHIM BUT ME." So is Mr. Jones indicating that everytime the word ELOHIM is used in the Hebrew Scriptures it refers to Jehovah? For instance, at Ps. 8:5 it says "You made him a little lower than (ELOHIM) godlike ones, And you crowned him with glory and splendor. " Who are the ELOHIM or godlike ones at Ps. 8:5? Is it Jehovah like Jones teaches? Notice how the Apostle Paul identifies who the Elohim of Ps. 8:5 are at Heb. 2:7,9 where he quotes Ps. 8:5 which says "You made him a little lower than angels (the ELOHIM); you crowned him with glory and honor, and appointed him over the works of your hands. " and "But we do see Jesus, who was made a little lower than angels, (the ELOHIM) now crowned with glory and honor for having suffered death, so that by God’s undeserved kindness he might taste death for everyone. " So here Paul tells us that the ELOHIM of Ps. 8:5 are none other than the ANGELS! The LXX translators ALSO understood the ELOHIM of Ps. 8:5 to be angels as they translated that verse with the Greek word AGGLOS (angels). Clay Jones is a dangerous false teacher. Do not listen to him.
C Bugglesworth that’s not what it says your twisting the scriptures you deceiver Isaiah 44:6 KJV [6] Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. The Lord Rebuke thee

@Thepointman Most Bibles render it thus , and not as YHWH Psalm 83:18 Christian Standard Bible (CSB) "May they know that you alone- whose name is the Lord- are the Most High over the whole earth " and if we go to the Greek in Phil 2:9 it reads of Jesus' name as "ὑπὲρ πᾶν ὄνομα" "above all names" - . . . which is another clue to the Trinity
What part of Jesus words at Luke 4:8 don’t you understand! “It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.” It is thru Jesus that we are able to worship Jehovah 'in spirit and truth'
Questions such as “Where did you happen to be when I founded the earth?” were evidently meant to stir Job’s thinking and emotions. After some of that intensive questioning, Job was left nearly speechless. He simply said: “What shall I reply to you? My hand I have put over my mouth.” (Job 38:4; 40:4) Job got the point and humbled himself. However, Jehovah was not merely teaching Job to be humble. Job’s thinking was also corrected.
You must be young, because if you had been a JW. For 40 plus years, you would be well aware of the many changing of scriptures. For example, you quoted " was a God, but in their previous Bible they had it written as " was God" let's stop debating what a scripture is interpreted and just get right to the big picture. So quit trying to impress with those no non- sense scriptures and take out some time to research. Titus 2:13: RS reads: “Awaiting our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” (Similar wording is found in NE, TEV, JB.) However, NW reads: “while we wait for the happy hope and glorious manifestation of the great God and of the Savior of us, Christ Jesus.” (NAB has a similar rendering.) Which translation agrees with Titus 1:4, which refers to “God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior”? Although the Scriptures also refer to God as being a Savior, this text clearly differentiates between him and Christ Jesus, the one through whom God provides salvation. Some argue that Titus 2:13 indicates that Christ is both God and Savior. Interestingly, RS, NE, TEV, JB render Titus 2:13 in a way that might be construed as allowing for that view, but they do not follow the same rule in their translation of 2 Thessalonians 1:12. Henry Alford, in The Greek Testament, states: “I would submit that [a rendering that clearly differentiates God and Christ, at Titus 2:13] satisfies all the grammatical requirements of the sentence: that it is both structurally and contextually more probable, and more agreeable to the Apostle’s way of writing.”-(Boston, 1877), Vol. III, p. 421. Titus 1:4 (ESV) To Titus, my true child in a common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

Did you read the very start of Chapter 8 of that Proverb it's talking about "Wisdom" The personification of "Wisdom" it's talking about creation through wisdom in a poetic way, it's not about Jesus. My my Jws twisting scriptures in any desperate attempt to water down Jesus Christ, full true deity. What's next Revelation 3:14? I can explain that one too if you like.
This chapter talks about “Wisdom”. At the beginning of proverbs (chapters 1-7), if you read, you will find out that Wisdom is referred to as a “She/her”. If this scripture is talking about Jesus, then why did the writer of proverbs personify wisdom as a female and not a male?
The Apostle Paul will answer. 1 Cor 8:5,6 'For even though there are those who are called “gods,” whether in heaven+ or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him.' This presents the Father as the “one God” of Christians and as being in a class distinct from Jesus Christ.
He becomes an idol to FALSE worshipers! An idol is only an idol to the person worshipping it. 1 Co 8:4 “….we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no God but one.” Also, at John 15:4 Jesus states ‘If YOU observe my commandments, YOU will remain in my love, just as I have observed the commandments of the Father and remain in his love.” So we must follow Jesus teachings and by doing this we worship Jehovah God.
This is why we need to take the whole Bible into context. Remember, 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight…” Jesus words at John 17:5 set things straight: “So now you, Father, glorify me alongside yourself with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was.” Also, at John 1:1 “In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, …..” Jesus is the Word, and was with God in the beginning.
Jehovah said to Moses: “I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion.” In other words, in order to have Jehovah’s favor, we must worship him alone. He does not want us to worship anything or anyone else. The Bible describes him as “the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the God great, mighty and fear-inspiring.”

Isaiah’s prophetic message is explained by Paul at Romans 9:29 ‘Also, just as Isaiah had said aforetime: “Unless Jehovah of armies had left a seed to us, we should have become just like Sod′om, and we should have been made just like Go•mor′rah.” Jesus the Mighty God ʼEl Gib•bohr′ is that seed.
Is it true that Jws worship 2 God's? When the Bible says there is only one God. In (John 14:7) If you know me, you also know my Father, from now on you do know him, and have seen him. (v.9).....whoever has seen me has seen the Father (v.10)...Don't you believe I am in the Father and the Father is in me? Thought I might put in those important verses you may have accidentally on purpose left out. As you skipped to (verse 28)"...The Father is greater than I" To keep it short the verses I used from John 14:7-10 are true. If you see Jesus you see the Father. Jesus and the Father are one. And the verse stated by you in (John 14:28) is also true....that the Father is greater than I" Why did Jesus say earlier on say "I am in the Father and and the Father is in me?"...then switch to....The Father is greater than I? This happens a few times in Scriptures where Jesus in speech and actions equates himself with the Father, and then humbly submits to the Father, why? The answer lies in Philippians 2:5-8 "Adopt the same attitude as Christ who existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be exploited, instead he emptied himself, taking on the form of a servant, taking on the likeness of humanity, and when born as a man, he humbled himself. .... Jesus willing stepped down from the position of being God with the Father, he emptied himself, became a servant, became a man, and humbled himself and became obedient even to the point of death on the Cross. Jesus is speaking from his humanity not his divinity. At times in Scriptures in his words he speaks from his divinity . Jesus could heal a lame man tell him to get up and walk and also tell the healed man his Sins are forgiven. The Scribes and Pharisees were experts in law and they knew only "God" could forgive sins. I could show you many more scriptures that shows Jesus Christ full true deity. At this time I thank my Lord and Savior, for allowing me to share with you. Take care.
Greater in role. Doesn't make Jesus any less God. Its like my role of being a Father is greater than my role of being a doctor. Doesn't make being a doctor any less of being me. Philip" show us the Father" Jesus "have I not been with thee, how then do you ask show us the Father "
@@t.macneil7048 You said "Is it true that Jws worship 2 God's?" No. JW worship one God, Jehovah. Jehovah made Jesus our Lord and King, and so we follow Jesus, to the glory of our, and Jesus' God and Father. An interesting illustration. Suppose there was a person who was the greatest doctor possible, and was given the title of the Doctor. You, being a doctor, would not necessarily mean you are "the Doctor", would it? Not only is the Father greater then Jesus, but Jesus remains subordinate to God, the Father. (1 Corinthians 11:3) But I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; in turn, the head of a woman is the man; in turn, the head of the Christ is God.

“Mighty God” and “Eternal Father” Part 2 Jesus never thought of himself as God Almighty, for he spoke of his Father as “the only true God,” that is, the only God who should be worshiped. (John 17:3; Revelation 4:11) In the Scriptures, the word “god” can mean “mighty one” or “strong one.” (Exodus 12:12; Psalm 8:5; 2 Corinthians 4:4) Before Jesus came to earth, he was “a god,” “existing in God’s form.” After his resurrection, he returned to an even higher position in the heavens.
John 17:3 (NAS) "This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. So Jehovah the Father is the only true God. Jesus is not the only true God. He was sent by the only true God. So Jesus cannot be the only true God. No mention of the holy spirit being the only true God. At Psalm 8:5, the angels are also referred to as ʼelo·himʹ, as is confirmed by Paul’s quotation of the passage at Hebrews 2:6-8. They are called benehʹ ha·ʼElo·himʹ, “sons of God” (KJ); at Genesis 6:2, 4; Job 1:6; 2:1. Lexicon in Veteris Testamenti Libros, by Koehler and Baumgartner (1958), page 134, says: “(individual) divine beings, gods.” And page 51 says: “the (single) gods,” and it cites Genesis 6:2; Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7. Psalm 8:5 (The Bible in Basic English) For you have made him only a little lower than the gods, crowning him with glory and honour. Psalm 8:5 (KJV) For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Compare translations: www.biblestudytools.com/psalms/8-5-compare.html Concordance: biblehub.com/interlinear/psalms/8-5.htm So at Psalm 8:5 ʼelo·himʹ (gods) are angels. Angels are not like gods, they are gods, Are angels true gods or false gods? Any others referred to as “gods” must be either false or merely a reflection of the true God. The context of Isaiah was speaking about false gods. Jehovah challenged the false gods of the nations to bring forth their witnesses, and he named Israel as his witness. (Isaiah 43:9,12) When he broke the bars of Israel’s exile, he proved that the gods of Babylon were no gods at all and that he is the only true God. (Isaiah 43:14,15) Only Jehovah can predict future events with such accuracy. Only ‘the first and the last,’ who existed before all the false gods were thought of and will still be there when they are long forgotten, can do such a thing. Isaiah 44:7 7 Who is there like me? Let him call out and tell it and prove it to me! From the time I established the people of long ago, Let them tell both the things to come And what will yet happen. Although Jehovah was challenging the false gods, the lesser gods like Jesus did not know the day or hour. Matthew 24:36 (NIV) “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,but only the Father. (The holy spirit did not know, only the Father) At Revelation 1:1 Jesus is given a revelation from God. If Jesus himself were part of a Godhead, would he have to be given a revelation by another part of the Godhead while in heaven? Wouldn't he already know if he were the true God and was equal to God? Only Jehovah knows the things to come and what will happen (Is 44:7). Only Jehovah is the true God. There is no one else like him. So the scriptures in Isaiah are taken out of context in an effort to prove a false doctrine.
Joseph Tucker let me help you brother because Jesus loves you so much; Psalm 8:4-5( what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you visit him; for you have made him a little lower than the angels, and you have crowned him with glory and honor) notice that does not anywhere say that angels are Elohim. John 17: 4-6” I have glorified you on earth, I have finished the work you sent me to do: 6; and now O Father, glorify me with thy own self with the glory that I had with you before the world was) Jesus clearly states that He is God coz He was with the Father in glory before the world was. Genesis 1: 2-3: and the earth was without form, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the water: I could go on and on but in all scripture; God is three in one: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit; may you read His word and understand it in Jesus’s name and please accept Jesus as your personal savior because He is the way, truth and life. John 14:6. Btw Revelation 1:1, it was John the apostle who saw a revelation of Jesus as the Alpha and Omega, God the son etc and not Jesus who saw a revelation of himself .
@@Lyzash21 Go to the concordance link and you will find word number 430 under the phrase “than the angels.” Click on that number and it takes you to the page with the title “430. elohim.” That is why Psalm 8:5 in “The Bible in Basic English” translates angels as gods. As I pointed out Jesus and the holy spirit does not know what God knows so they can't be God. The holy spirit is not a person. That is why Matthew 24:36 does not even mention the holy spirit as not knowing the day and hour. And in Matthew 11:27 the holy spirit is excluded from fully knowing the Father and Son. Matthew 11:27 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one fully knows the Son except the Father; neither does anyone fully know the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son is willing to reveal him. The holy spirit is personified as are wisdom, sin, death, righteousness, water and blood: In Proverbs 1:20 wisdom is personified: True wisdom cries aloud in the street. It keeps raising its voice in the public squares Luke 7:35 But wisdom is proved right by all her children.” In Romans 5:17 death is personified as a king: For if by the trespass of the one man death ruled as king through that one, how much more will those who receive the abundance of the undeserved kindness and of the free gift of righteousness rule as kings in life through the one person, Jesus Christ! In Romans 5:21 sin is personified as king: To what end? So that just as sin ruled as king with death, so also undeserved kindness might rule as king through righteousness leading to everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord. At 1 John 5:6-8, not only the spirit but also “the water and the blood” are said to ‘bear witness.’ The holy spirit is never seen as a person on earth or in a vision of heaven. It is seen as something not someone. At Jesus’ baptism it was manifested as a dove and at Pentecost as tongues of fire. If it is a person, why did it not appear as a person? Jesus was conceived by the holy spirit but Jesus never calls the holy spirit his father. Gabriel was sent to Mary to tell her she will conceive a Son by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Highest will overshadow you. There is a parallel between the Holy Spirit and the power of the Highest. It says the power (holy spirit) of the Highest (Jehovah) will come upon you and overshadow you. In scripture the holy spirit is not referred to as a son of God like the angels and Jesus are. If you compare the parallel scriptures Matt. 12:28 and Luke 11:20 you will find the holy spirit is referred to as God's finger. The Bible gives no indication of the holy spirit’s having a personal name. Names are important in the Bible. The Father, Son and angels have personal names. Why does the holy spirit not have a personal name? Surely, this detail alone should make a person wonder whether the spirit is really equal to the Father and the Son. The word “name” at Matthew 28:19 does not mean a personal name. Says Greek scholar A. T. Robertson (Word Pictures in the New Testament, Vol. I, p. 245): “The use of name ([Greek] onoma) here is a common one in the Septuagint and the papyri for power or authority.” That the term “name” so used does not necessarily imply the existence of a person. This might be illustrated with the expression “in the name of the law.” No one would conclude the law is a person. The expression simply means ‘in recognition of what the law represents,’ its authority. Similarly, baptism ‘in the name of the spirit’ signifies a recognition of that spirit and its source and functions. Matthew 28:19 mentions three, but it says nothing about the three being equal in eternity, power, position, and wisdom. Or being 3 persons in 1 God. So the holy spirit is the power of God, God's finger. Not part of some mysterious trinity. Jesus reply to the woman at the well was: “Believe me, woman, The hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you people worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, because salvation originates with the Jews. Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him. God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth.”-John 4:21-24. Notice Jesus did not tell her to worship himself or the holy spirit. Jesus said we worship what we know and that person was the Father. The Jews only worshiped the Father and salvation originates with the Jews. The Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him. This would disqualify trinitarians since they include the son and a non-person. Like the woman at the well trinitarians worship what they do not know. They don't try to understand the mystery of the trinity with human intellect. Apostate Christendom began worshiping this false trinity god in 381 A.D. when the trinity was fully developed. In an illustration, Jesus had warned that the Devil would sow “weeds,” imitation Christians, in among “the wheat,” true Christians, “the sons of the kingdom.” Both would grow together until “the harvest,” the “end of the age.” (Matt. 13:24-30, 36-43) Jesus' apostles warned about an apostasy that would occur in later times.
@@Lyzash21 According to Proverbs 8:22-31 there was only 2 persons present during the creation of the world. The holy spirit is the power of God, not a person.
New Living Translation: 22 “The LORD FORMED ME from the beginning, before he created anything else. 23 I was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began. 24 I WAS BORN before the oceans were created, before the springs bubbled forth their waters. 25 Before the mountains were formed, before the hills, I WAS BORN- 26 before he had made the earth and fields and the first handfuls of soil. 27 I was there when he established the heavens, when he drew the horizon on the oceans. 28 I was there when he set the clouds above, when he established springs deep in the earth. 29 I was there when he set the limits of the seas, so they would not spread beyond their boundaries. I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in his presence, 31 rejoicing in his whole world and delighting in mankind.
@@jimmys6566 Do you think water, blood, and sin are persons? Do you think wisdom can have children? Many so-called trinity proof texts has no mention of the holy spirit. John 1:1 only mentions 2 persons, God and the Word. Wouldn't you think the Word was also with the holy spirit if it were a person? John 17:3 mentions the only true God and Jesus separately. Nothing about the holy spirit if it were a person and was also god. In Matthew 24:36 Jesus names all persons that might know the day and hour in heaven and on earth but he leaves out the holy spirit because the holy spirit is not a person. (1 Corinthians 8:6) there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him. If the holy spirit was a person involved in creation why was he not given credit for creating all things by or through him? Wasn't that one of his roles? Paul is making the point that the Father is God just as Jews have believed for thousands of years. At John 17:21, 22 (ESV), Jesus prayed to God that his disciples “that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one” Jesus shares his glory with his disciples. Using trinity logic, if Jesus is God then his disciples must also be God. So God must be many persons in 1 God if they are all one and shares glory. This would exclude the holy spirit from being God. Only the Father, Jesus and his disciples are said to be all one, all part of some mysterious godhead. The Catholic theologian Walter Farrell noted: “The mystery of the Trinity, as God has told it to us, is the mystery of three divine persons, really distinct, in one and the same divine nature: coequal, coeternal, consubstantial, one God. Of these persons, the Second proceeds from the First by an eternal generation; the Third proceeds from the First and the Second by an eternal spiration. . . . “The Trinity is a mystery; no doubt about it. Unless we had been told of its existence, we would never have suspected such a thing. Moreover, now that we know that there is a Trinity, we cannot understand it. The man who attempts to unravel the mystery is in the position of a near-sighted man straining his eyes from the Eastern Shore of Maryland for a glimpse of Spain.” He implies that it is impossible to know the God whom one worships. But that is not in agreement with Jesus’ words to a Samaritan woman. The trinity is not a mystery to Jehovah's Witnesses. At the Council of Nicea in 325 A.D. it was decided that the father and son was of the same substance but the holy spirit was not included in the godhead until the Council of Constantinople in 381 A.D. The fake trinity god had a beginning in 381 A. D. Ancient Babylon started the trinities of: Nimrod, Tammuz, Simerimas and Shamash, Sin, Ishtar. Then the other pagan religions copied them. Egypt: Osiris, Horus, Isis Greece: Zeus, Apollo, Athena India: Brahama, Vishnu, Shiva Rome: Jupiter, Mars, Venus At the Council of Constantinople in 381 A.D. apostate Christendom copied the pagans in the 4th century by making the Father, Son, holy spirit into a trinity. By the 16th century trinity proof texts had been added to the few manuscripts they had at the time. By the 19th and 20th centuries thousands of manuscripts were found that did not have the trinity proof texts. That is why they are missing in moden bible translations. The teachings of the Jehovah's Witnesses make sense. Did the Jews worship the wrong God for thousands of years? Why didn't Jesus teach the trinity? Why was the trinity missing in the early creeds? Why was there no controversy over the trinity by the Jews in the first century like there was for circumcision? All these questions and more are answered. By rejecting pagan doctrines the bible makes perfect sense. But sanctify the Christ as Lord in your hearts, always ready to make a DEFENSE before everyone who demands of you a REASON for the hope you have, but doing so with a mild temper and deep respect. - 1 Peter 3:15 There is no defense for the trinity. It is supported by corrupted manuscripts, translations, false reasonings and liars.
Again you are misquoting, I never said Jesus was a co-creator. 'He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; because BY MEANS of him all things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, .......All things have been created THROUGH him and FOR him.
I believe you are quoting from Job 38: 4, “Where did you happen to be when I founded the earth? Tell [me], if you do know understanding.” In this context, Jehovah God used questions to adjust the thinking of his servant Job. By means of numerous questions, Jehovah taught Job about his insignificance in comparison with his Maker. Did Jehovah expect an audible answer to each of those questions? It seems unlikely.
Also, the scriptures do not 'violate' each other. False interpretation of the scriptures is what is in violation. As for answering your question. Is this one of those Clayisms 'Answer my question successfully, first'. I believe my replies are indeed sufficient for those with an open mind, not cluttered with false doctrine.
Matthew 11:27 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one fully knows the Son except the Father; neither does anyone fully know the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son is willing to reveal him. But if the holy spirit were a person, the 3rd person of the godhead, wouldn't he also fully know the Father and Son? If the trinity was a true doctrine, it would mean Jesus lied.
You are blinded by your theological warfare, Jehovah Winess Joe. Now we know that 1. The Father is JHWH God; 2. Acts 5:4 refers to the Spirit as "God"; 3. In John 20:28 Jesus is called God. So three persons are called God in the New Testament. Each of the three persons is called God, but the Shema in the Torah tells us that God is one, and there we have the beginning of the understanding of the Trinity. Now it seems that you are using "theological warfare" to mislead weak Christians to join your sect, so tell us all what you tell them of the date when the Church started teaching the Trinity . . . "THEOLOGICAL WARFARE" In 2002 Jerry Bergman wrote in "The Cultic Study Review" (2002, Volume 1, No. 2) about the JW cult practice of lying or telling half truths (see below) The Academic J Bergman in "The Cultic Study Review" (2002, Volume 1, No. 2) writes that theocratic warfare was an intrinsic part of JW teaching practices in regards to religious conversion. According to Bergman, theocratic warfare was a doctrine taught and practiced by all members of the JW religion, from high ranking elders to individual "foot soldiers". Bergman's 2002 study asserted that theocratic warfare allowed JW's to tell half truths to gain new religious converts, and even allowed JW's to lie in court to protect the interests of the JW religion. I believe I have already established, using scripture, that Jehovah is the Almighty God and that Jesus is the firstborn of all creation and is a mighty god. There is no God like him, or besides him, because there is no god equal to Him, He is the Almighty God.
First Isaiah 10:20-21 ’20 And it will certainly occur in that day that those remaining over of Israel and those who have escaped of the house of Jacob will never again support themselves upon the one striking them, and they will certainly support themselves upon Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, in trueness. 21 A mere remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the Mighty God.’
Whether they are valid or invalid they are not to be worshipped! “For Jehovah your God is a consuming fire, a God exacting exclusive devotion.” Deuteronomy 4:24
Amen! "False god" to a jew (there is no term for 'false god' in Hebrew nor Greek) would only indicate the type of god. It wouldn't convey 'non-god'...it would mean 'evil-god' or 'rebel-god'. True (alithenos) God conveys archetype and implies that there are copies.
Man was created in Gods image in that he resembled his Creator, able to reflect a godlike attitude in reasoning, in demonstrating love, justice, wisdom, and power. Jesus was created first, in Gods image. So when God said let us create man in our image, he was bestowing the same qualities to man as he did Jesus. In short, we have free will. Observing the makeup of his earthly son, Adam, Jehovah made this assessment of his handiwork: “Look! it is very good.”
The third century church writer ORIGEN apparently recognized how [TRUE] is used in John 17:3. He said : "The true God, then, is 'The God,' and those who are formed after Him are gods, images, as it were, of Him the prototype." Origen, "Commentary on the Gospel of John," ANF,
He is the only way through which we are able to approach Jehovah God. Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 Accordingly, true Christians do well to direct their worship only to Jehovah God, the Almighty.
Jesus is called a god. He’s not God. Jesus died. Had to be resurrected by God. Acts 10:40 Also Jesus was a human , born out of woman who was human. We don’t argue. We don’t believe in two true Gods. Jesus is not God. We don’t debate. The truth speaks for itself. This guy is a joke. He’s not a Christian. The trinity is of pagan origin.
And yet He also claimed to be G-d in John 8:58, which was recognized and they wanted to stone Him for it in vs. 59. So you can't accept one claim of Jesus, but reject others. Jesus did not "claim" not to be good. That is a major fallacy people make, taking a QUESTION and making it a statement. Jesus never said He was not good. By all means, a man who NEVER sinned (which is not possible for sinful humans) is indeed good. Jesus was the God-man.
Who called Jehovah , the only true God first ?? It wasn’t the Jehovah’s Witnesses, like he claims , it was Jesus himself at (John 17:3) And yet the Bible refers to Jesus and a “”mighty God “”at the same time, so the truth is, is that ,Jesus must view himself as A lesser god( John 14:28)(1Corinthians 8:5,6) This man is trying to play word games ,and semantics with all of us, .We all know that words can be used in many different ways! For instance the word “”president”” can be used to described the most powerful man in the world! Or it can be used to describe a president of a company! So just because we acknowledge that there is a president who is the most powerful in the world , does not make all other presidents, in all their different capacities, not valid ,or true presidents! just as the word “”God “”in the Bible can also be used in different capacities, for instance the Jewish people were referred to as gods at Psalms 82:6 , That did not make them all - mighty God, and that goes without saying, Just as we know that the president of Apple is not the President of the United States! this man is trying to pigeonhole you into thinking there’s only one interpretation for the word “God “, which is a falsehood! There can be many uses of the word “God “ (1st Corinthians 8:5,6)
Summersblues1 .... While I was studying the subject of the Trinity I came across something very helpful that helped me understand. In grammar there is a rule called the “Granville Sharps Rule”. Granville Sharp was the name of a Greek linguistic and discovered this helpful rule. When you have 2 words that agree in gender, number and case (these words need to be singular, personal and not a proper name) that is connected with the word “and”, it refers to the same person. An example would be Titus 2:13 “.... glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ”. Knowing how the Granville Sharps Rule works in grammar this clearly shows that God and Jesus are the same person. I hope my explanation helps but you can also google it yourself if you need further understanding.
Summersblues1 ... I don’t believe they are the same person but I believe they share the same deity. I once heard an analogy and it help me to make a little bit of sense. H2O can either be fluid as in liquid water it can also be solid as an ice it can also be a vapor as in steam. There are some great videos on TH-cam explaining the Trinity. The one I like the best is by Mike Winger. He is the one that I learned the Grandville sharps rule from. After learning that and reading the scriptures that it applied to it made sense to me.
TheVelvetteButterfly TheVelvetteButterfly , I looked up the Grandville Sharp rule, and I found a number of respected Trinitarian‘s recognize that there was problems with the Grandville Sharp rule, and I copied off a quote from them , here it is ; There are problems with the Granville Sharp “Rule.” First, it is impossible to prove that it was a rule of grammar at the time of the Apostle Paul. Nigel Turner, a Trinitarian, writes: Unfortunately, at this period of Greek we cannot be sure that such a rule is really decisive. Sometimes the definite article is not repeated even when there is a clear separation in idea. [1] Buzzard writes about Titus 2:13, also supposedly an example of the Granville Sharp rule: A wide range of grammarians and Biblical scholars have recognized that the absence of the definite article before “our Savior Jesus Christ” is quite inadequate to establish the Trinitarian claim that Jesus is here called ‘the great God’ (p. 130). Butterfly , did you know that Jesus never even claimed to be god,?
You say, If you successfully answer my question, I'll answer any question you want! SUCCESSFULLY!!! answer. What kind of attitude is that? JW'S seek those who have the heart condition to receive the truth: an honest, humble, and teachable attitude is essential. This is why Jesus said at Luke 9:5 "And wherever people do not receive YOU, on going out of that city shake the dust off YOUR feet for a witness against them.”
Also, he is before all things and BY MEANS of him all things were made to exist. It is because of God’s will that all things “existed and were created.” Rev 4:11. Jehovah, who has existed for all time, was alone before creation had a beginning.

“God . . . created all things.” (Eph. 3:9) Thus everything has the same Great Designer. “All things came into existence through him [God’s only-begotten Son, who became Jesus Christ when on earth], and apart from him not even one thing came into existence.” (John 1:3) Thus there was one Master Worker through whom Jehovah performed his works of creation.
Jesus is NOT an idol! What I agreed upon earlier was that idol worship is wrong, but not that Jesus was an idol. I wrote “Was this servant man committing an idolatrous act, when he “the servant therefore fell down, and worshipped [form of pro•sky•ne′o] him [the king], saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.” Matthew 18:26; Not at all! He was merely expressing the kind of reverence and respect due the king, his master and superior.
Jehovah is not sarcastic! As can be seen, this text (Psalms 82) did not refer to persons as being called “God,” but “gods” and “sons of the Most High.” Jesus quoted this scripture at John 10:34, 35 'Jesus answered them(false accusers): “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said: “YOU are gods”’? If he called ‘gods’ those against whom the word of God came, and yet the Scripture cannot be nullified'
Yes I agree. Jesus certainly occupies a pivotal role in true worship, one worthy of honor and respect. He is the only way through which we are able to approach Jehovah God. John 14:6 ""Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."" Accordingly, true Christians do well to direct their worship only to Jehovah God, the Almighty.
We are not a cult because we learn a lot about other religions in our Bible studies. And we study the scriptures to check our beliefs. The word god means mighty being or a mighty god but Jehovah is almighty God .Jehovah is a true God and Jesus is a true god .1 Corinthians 8:4-6 Now concerning the eating of food offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world and that there is no God but one. 5 For even though there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him. Satan is a true god or a mighty one or a true mighty one. There is one true almighty one and ther is a mighty god or mighty one or eternal father.
An idol is an IMAGE, a REPRESENTATION of anything, or a SYMBOL that is an object of passionate devotion, whether material or imagined. Not All Images Are Idols. God’s law not to form images (Ex 20:4, 5) did not rule out the making of all representations and statues. This is indicated by Jehovah’s later command to make two golden cherubs on the cover of the Ark and to embroider representations of cherubs on the inner tent.
JW say there are 2 true Gods. Bible says there is 1 true God. That's it. JW try to get around "no God besides me" in Isaiah 43:10 by saying Jesus is a true little god and the Father is a true big God but there are no capital letters in the original Hebrew. JW try to get around this by saying judges, Satan, and Moses were called gods in the Bible but none of those are true Gods. JW then contradict themselves by quoting other passages that say there is only 1 true God. JW then get angry and go to next house. The end.
@@rachelcorrie8928 I can see how it could be confusing what his point is if you're not familiar with the differences between JW and Christianity. He's probably talking to an audience that is already familiar with JW and this question. I've seen him ask this same question in other videos in 1-5 minutes so he _can_ be a lot more direct when he wants to.
@@rachelcorrie8928 They have 2 Gods but only worship 1 of them. That's one of their defenses that they only _worship_ one God even though they have two true Gods so they claim to still be monotheist and not polytheist. But the guy in the video gave an example that if he has 2 wives but only loves one of them that doesn't mean he's not a polygamist.
The designation “lord” denotes one who has ownership or authority and power over persons or things. (Ge 24:9; 42:30; 45:8, 9; 1Ki 16:24; Lu 19:33; Ac 25:26; Eph 6:5) This title was applied by Sarah to her husband (Ge 18:12), by children to their fathers (Ge 31:35; Mt 21:28, 29), and by a younger brother to his older brother (Ge 32:5, 6). It appears as a title of respect addressed to prominent persons, public officials, prophets, and kings. (Ge 23:6; 42:10; Nu 11:28; 2Sa 1:10; 2Ki 8:10-12; Mt 27:63) Abraham was not god because Sarah called him lord. Jesus is referred to as lord not God in many scriptures. For examples: Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess Jesus Christ is Lord (NOT God). Ephesians 1:3 (NIV) Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Only the Father is God. 1 Corinthians 8:6 (NIV) yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. Ephesians 4:5-6 (NIV) one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Notice God is the Father and Jesus is the lord. When you equate Jesus with God you are going beyond what is written. Jesus said: "All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth". This was given to him by his God and Father. If Jesus was the almighty why would he need to be given all authority by another 3rd of the godhead? Jesus will be king of God's kingdom for a certain period of time. 1 Corinthians 15:24-28 24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all. The bible plainly teaches there is only one true God, the Father.
Unto us a Son is given, unto us a child is born. He shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. When Thomas had seen Jesus' hands, he says "My Lord and my God"
@@RJWM1999 Notice Isa 9:6 is a prophecy. "He shall be called ..." He was not always called by these titles. Mighty God, not the Almighty God. The bible says angels are gods. Everlasting Father - He is the second Adam. Thomas had said (verse :25) that unless something happened he would “not believe.” What was it that Thomas refused to believe? Was it that he refused to believe that Jesus was equally God with the Father? There is certainly no hint of this before or after Thomas’ statement at John 20:28. If the disciples had learned, upon seeing the resurrected Jesus, that he was God, certainly they would have indicated this! But notice, neither before nor after receiving Holy Spirit (:22) did they kneel or do any act of worship such as one would certainly do upon coming aware of being in the presence of God! Notice that the disciples who had seen Jesus earlier did not tell Thomas that Jesus was God (:25)! This is an incredible oversight if they had really believed they had seen God! Certainly, if they had discovered that Jesus was really God when they saw him resurrected, they would have talked of nothing else! If, on the other hand, they had already known that Jesus was God even before seeing his resurrected form, then Thomas, too, would have already known about it and certainly would not have meant: “Unless I see ... the print of nails [etc.] ... I will not believe [Jesus is God].” No, the context of John 20:24, 25, and 29 shows that Thomas refused to believe that Jesus had been resurrected from the dead. Certainly, being resurrected from the dead does not make you God. Other persons in the Scriptures had been resurrected from the dead before (and after) Jesus, and no one, for a moment, ever suspected them of being God! In fact, being resurrected from the dead would have been used as evidence that a person was not God, since God has always been immortal and cannot die in the first place! Furthermore, Jesus’ statements before and after Thomas’ exclamation (“my Lord and my God!”) show not only that Jesus wanted Thomas to believe that he had been resurrected to life but that he could not possibly be God!! Jesus’ command to Thomas to literally touch his wounds and actually see his hands proves that he meant, “See, I am the same person you saw die, but now I am alive ... be believing that I have been resurrected to life” (not, “see, these wounds prove I am God ... be believing that I am God”). Notice that the reason given for Thomas to “be believing” is that he can see Jesus’ hands and their wounds. Likewise, after Thomas says “My Lord and my God,” Jesus reaffirms that Thomas now believes (as did the other disciples after seeing - Jn.20:20) that Jesus has been resurrected (not that he is God) “because you have seen me” (:29). Certainly Jesus wouldn’t mean, “you believe I am God because you can see me.” Instead, this is proof that Jesus, Thomas, John, and the other disciples did not believe Jesus was equally God with the Father! How? Because John himself has made it manifestly clear that “no one [no human] has ever seen God” - 1 John 4:12, RSV. (See the SF study; also OMN 3-5.) Therefore, since no man has ever directly seen God (who is the Father only - John 5:37, 6:46; 17:1, 3) but men have only indirectly “seen” God through representations such as visions, dreams, etc., Jesus is saying: “Believe I have been resurrected and that I am obviously not God because you see me directly (and even touch me so you can be sure I’m not a vision or an indirect representation).” What about the rest of the context? As noted before, Thomas did not bow down, worship, etc. upon learning that it was really Jesus and saying 'my lord and my god.' He could not have just discovered that he was in the presence of God and acted the way he did! It’s also obvious that Jesus did not understand Thomas to be calling him equally God with the Father in heaven. But did John, in spite of the incredible contradiction of a previous statement (like 1 John 4:12 above) at John 1:18 that “no man hath seen God at any time,” somehow think that Thomas understood Jesus to be God? Well, no other disciple of Jesus ever made a statement to him which could honestly be construed as meaning Jesus is God! So, if John had, somehow, understood Thomas’ statement that way, he certainly would have provided some follow-up clarification and emphasis in his own comments. Surely John would have shown Thomas prostrating himself before “God” and worshiping him (but he doesn’t!). So how does John summarize this incident? - “But these were written that you may believe [Believe what? That Jesus is God? Here, then, is where it should have been written if John really believed such a thing:] that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.” - John 20:31, RSV. (Be sure to compare 1 John 5:5.) Or, as the trinitarian The NIV Study Bible, Zondervan, 1985, states in a footnote for this scripture: “This whole Gospel is written to show the truth of Jesus’ Messiahship and to present him as the Son of God, so that the readers may believe in him.” Obviously, neither Jesus’ response, nor Thomas’ responses (before and after his statement at John 20:28), nor John’s summation of the event at 20:31 recognizes Thomas’ statement to mean that Jesus is the only true God! So it is clear from context alone that neither Jesus, nor John, (nor Thomas) considered the statement at John 20:28 to mean that Jesus is equally God with the Father. (Remember this is the same Gospel account that also records Jesus’ last prayer to the Father at John 17:1, 3: “Father,.... This is eternal life: to know thee who alone art truly God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.” - NEB. It is obvious from this scripture alone that Jesus and the writer of the Gospel of John do not believe Jesus is equally God with the Father!) This may be, then, one of those places where the idioms of an ancient language are not completely understood by modern translators. As the Encyclopaedia Britannica, 14th ed., vol. 13, p. 25, puts it: "And it is not certain that even the words Thomas addressed to Jesus (Jn. 20:28) meant what they suggest in the English Version." - (Britannica article by Rev. Charles Anderson Scott, M.A., D.D. Dunn Professor of New Testament, Theological College of the Presbyterian Church of England, Cambridge.) And John M. Creed, as Professor of Divinity at the University of Cambridge, wrote: “‘my Lord and my God’ (Joh.xx.28) is still not quite the same as an address to Christ as being without qualification God, and it must be balanced by the words of the risen Christ himself ... (v.17): ... ‘I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.’” - The Divinity of Jesus Christ, J. M. Creed, p. 123. Yes, think about that very carefully: After Jesus was resurrected, he continued to call the Father in heaven “my God”! (Even after he was fully restored to heaven and seated at the right hand of God - Rev. 3:2; 3:12.) So if we must insist, as many trinitarians do, that the single instance of Thomas’ saying “MY God” in Jesus’ presence, with all its uncertainties, means that Jesus is superior in every way to Thomas (in essence, eternity, authority, etc.), what do Jesus’ even clearer statements that the Father is his God actually mean? - “He who conquers, ... I will write on him the name of MY God, and the name of the city of MY God, ... and my own name.” - Rev. 3:12, RSV (Compare Rev. 14:1). You can’t have it both ways. If Thomas’ statement (“my God”) can only mean that Jesus is ultimately superior to Thomas in all respects, then Jesus’ repeated and even clearer statements that the Father is his God can only mean that the Father is ultimately superior to Jesus in all respects. If Thomas really understood that Jesus was equally God with the Father, it is certainly blasphemous for John and other inspired Bible writers to turn around and call the Father the God of the Christ! - Micah 5:4; 1 Cor. 11:3; 2 Cor. 11:31; Eph. 1:3, 17; 1 Peter 1:3; Rev. 3:12.

@@josephtucker9612 Well I said Isaiah 6 and you went to verse 7, while I believe the prophecies in the bible it's a cold hard fact that Jesus is never called the titles in verse 6 so I believe it has to be figurative. kinda like Jesus said the apostles would be called sons of thunder, but no one called them sons of thunder.
Once and for all! Jehovah God is the Almighty GOD!!!! Jesus is his Son!!! As I have pointed out over and over, WORSHIP should only be directed to Jehovah God!!!! Why do you keep coming up with this 'two gods' false (clay) doctrine. You keep telling me what you think Jehovah's Witnesses believe, but you are mistaken. Now I see why you do not believe in Jesus Christ, because he rejected the jews! Just before Jesus’ death he said to Jerusalem: “Your house is abandoned to you.” (Mt 23:38)
Imitate Jesus render acceptable worship to Jehovah God. Jesus is not to be worshiped! The Bible clearly indicates, however, that our worship in the sense of religious reverence and devotion must be addressed solely to Jehovah God. Jesus certainly occupies a pivotal role in true worship, one worthy of honor and respect. Jesus is to be obeyed. John 14:15 "“If YOU love me, YOU will observe my commandments;"
Read the start of Proverbs 8. It's about the personification of "Wisdom" it's not about Jesus. It's about creation created through wisdom written in a poetic way. I can explain Revelation 3:14 If you like. God bless
adam hines it’s not JW who are lost. If anything they are the only true Christians. I know this for a number of reasons. Their teachings are sound from the scriptures. The only religion fulfilling bible prophecy concerning the end times.
Myles High I don’t believe in two true Gods. There is only one true God Jehovah. Jesus is not God almighty. The Bible sometimes uses the title God to reference someone with power. Even Satan is called the God of this world. 2 Corinthians 4:4. Does this mean he is God almighty? Does it mean he is equal to the father? Does this make him a true God? Neither of those. He is called a God because he exercises power same as with Jesus. Gods name appears more than 7,000 times in original manuscripts and it’s acknowledged by scholars. This name also known as the Tetragrammaton YHWH YAHWEH in English is Jehovah. If the name Jehovah appears that much in the scriptures, this shows God has a name and that he wants people to know it. If Jesus is the God you worship, then who is the father? A mystery? No. Also why would Jesus pray to the father or before anything he did he pray to the father. He told his disciples that the father is greater than I am. He even told them to worship only the father. This suggest that Jesus acknowledged his father being the true God. Also the he is inferior and rightful Gods sin. The man in the video is an apostate. He keeps saying “I have this one question. But then he talks and talks and I was waiting for that supposed question that he thinks Jehovah’s witnesses can’t seem to answer. I believe I just covered the distinction between Jesus and Jehovah. The trinity is unscriptural.
What a lot of immature, nit-picking drivel. Hasn't this man developed at all since he started this argument at the age of 16 (as he says himself). Why is it so important to him to prove the JW's wrong? Why not just get on with his own beliefs and let them get on with theirs? Is it worth a war? Even just a war of words?
Jesus prayed: “Father, this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.” John 17:1-3. Most translations here use the expression “the only true God” with reference to the Father. Others read “who alone art truly God.” He cannot be “the only true God,” the one “who alone is truly God,” if there are two others who are God to the same degree as he is, can he? Those referred to as “gods” must be either false or merely a reflection of the true God.
Jesus set the perfect example of humble submission to his Father. He said: “I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me I speak these things.” Then he added: “I always do the things pleasing to him.” (John 8:28, 29)
@@victorwasaf3061 but the Bible says that Jesus is a mighty God (Isaiah 9:6). Also Jesus’ own disciple called Jesus “my Lord and my God”( in the Greek, this means the Lord of me and the God of me). So why is that Jehovah’s Witnesses leave out the part that Jesus is directly referred to as a god (as in John 1:1) and only teach that Jesus is the son of God? Is it because it contradicts with the JW theology and cannot reconcile Jesus as a true god just as much as Jehovah is?
Consider the parable Jesus gave of the slave who was unable to repay a substantial sum of money to his master. A form of this Greek word appears in this parable, and in translating it the King James Version says that “the servant therefore fell down, and worshipped [form of pro•sky•ne′o] him saying, Lord, ..(Matthew 18:26) Was this man committing an idolatrous act? Not at all! He was merely expressing the kind of reverence and respect due the king, his master and superior.
Because Jesus was called the Son of GOD and since GOD the Almighty made all things. GOD the Father of Christ was given divine power of his FATHER to accomplish his will. Lets go to Exodus , Where Moses was in the wilderness and GOD Almighty told him that he is the GOD of his forefathers. HE then said I am making you a GOD to Pharaoh and Aaron your brother will be a your prophet. Read Exodus Chapter 6 and Exodus 1:1,2.. LIFE
Mono,,, whatever, poly,,,whatever, trinity, no thanks. For me, I will continue using words from God's Word the Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16,17 "All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work."
Jehovah’s Witnesses-Who Are We? We come from hundreds of ethnic and language backgrounds, yet we are united by common goals. Above all, we want to honor Jehovah, the God of the Bible and the Creator of all things. We do our best to imitate Jesus Christ and are proud to be called Christians. Each of us regularly spends time helping people learn about the Bible and God’s Kingdom. Because we witness, or talk, about Jehovah God and his Kingdom, we are known as Jehovah’s Witnesses.
The Bible warns about Jehovah's Witnesses, it warns of false teachers, false prophets, those that add to or go beyond scripture. *JWs claim to follow the Bible and yet* no Bible I know of says anything about 1799,1844,1874,1879, 1914,1915, 1918, 1919, 1925, 1936, 1940's, 1950's, 1960's,1975, 2000,ect. JWs call their literature "food FROM God", repeat "food FROM God" yet it has these false dates.
You come from hundreds of ethnic backgrounds but the 144k seats in heaven filled up in 1935 by 95% white American and Europeans. Jehovah God really didn't want many Asians, Africans, Indians, or Hispanics in heaven, they're good enough for field service but not to rule over JW right?
Respond to me and I'll ask you questions you will never be able to answer because your religion is false. To get started here is an easy one. What in the world are the great crowd doing in heaven? Rev 19:1 After this I heard what seemed to be a loud voice of a *great crowd in heaven.* 😮😲
They also say that Jehovah created Jesus first, His first creation, and everything else was created through Jesus, and if they believe that Almighty Jehovah is their Creator and they are two separate gods why would Almighty God the Creator have to go though another god that HE Created to create everything else! so who are they saying is their Creator Jehovah or Jesus and who should they really be Worshiping and calling their True Creator and realizing that they are both God and there is only One God!
So at John 17:5 “So now you, Father, glorify me alongside yourself with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was.” Jesus used the term here to refer to the exalted state that he enjoyed in heaven before coming to earth. In answer to that prayer, Jehovah “glorified his Servant, Jesus,” by resurrecting him and bringing him back into heaven. Acts 3:13 “The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our forefathers, has glorified his Servant, Jesus,”
Colosians 1:15-17 'He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; because by means of him all things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, .......All things have been created through him and for him. Also, he is before all things and by means of him all things were made to exist, and he is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead,'
So what can you descern from this? He is the ALMIGHTY GOD, all powerfull, without equal, able to tell "from the beginning to the finale" and yet God created Jesus and man in is ‘image and likeness,’ in that he was created with moral qualities like those of God, namely, love and justice.
I don't mean to rain on this guy's parade, it sounds like he has a lot of fun being right. In many cases he may have won the battle but lost the war. I'm just wondering how many he's actually led to Jesus. The Bible says that their minds are blinded Isaiah 44 :18 , 2nd Corinthians 4:4 2nd Corinthians 3 :12-18 , 1st Corinthians 2:14, there are many others that say their eyes are blinded, their minds are shut. the first thing that a JW is taught is to talk about Trinity. hey want to talk about is the doctrine of the trinity because Satan knows that they can't possibly see it or understand it because their minds are blinded their eyes are shut. If you look at the scripture in Corinthians it says that they won't understand until they trust Christ. The Bible says God's word is alive and active and it says in Ephesians chapter 5 that the the water washes sin away by the word of God. Also, Gods word doesnt return void. so sound reasoning isn't going to help them logic isn't going to help them, even Apostle Paul said he wouldn't use his reasoning or persuasive words, he used Gods Words. you may plant a seed but you haven't won the war. Instead, Talk about Grace . I studied two years to become a Jehovah's Witness and was one for 20 years until God saved me out of it. Grace There's No Grace at a Kingdom Hall . so talk about Ephesians 2 :8 and 9. Remember, its Gods words and its his goodness that leads them to repentance .talk about John 3:16 talk about what that means . they have no idea the Bible says our Good Deeds are like filthy rags they have no idea and John chapter 6 the disciples said what works must we do to gain eternal life Jesus said the work of God is that you believe in me. Say Gods Words . And pray for this man who seems to have fun and play with the souls of the lost. If you'd like direction on how to lead someone to Jesus, take an Evangelism Explosion ckass, or download : Life on Mission: 3 circles. And please pray for them.
Excellent post and reasoning from the scripture. I took note of these verses and I'll try to ask them about it when they come. *Ephesians 2:8-9* (by Grace through faith you have been saved, not of works) *John 3:16* (but faith in Jesus we have eternal life, something JW don't believe since they think Jesus is first and _last_ one made immortal but the rest of us even in paradise are not immortal) *Isaiah 64:6* (our righteous is as filthy as rags.) *John 6* - (what must we do to gain eternal life? The work of God is that your believe in Jesus.) Excellent verses to memorize or have in mind for discussion with JW. The question in this video is only good for making them mad. There are much better ways to show them Jesus is God from scripture without making them mad or using "gotcha" questions. More knowledgeable JW actually have an answer for this question anyway so it's not even a good question. A better variant of _this_ question is to ask them how many _Mighty_ Gods are there and quote Isaiah 9:6 + Isaiah 10:21 and they will not answer but only redirect to _other_ types of false gods like judges, Satan, Moses. For this question, they do have an answer which I'm surprised he's never heard, probably because they never come back to his house because they see he's an "active resistor." I don't want to give their answer because I don't want to help any JW but this is just not a good question like he thinks. Maybe for novice JW only.
Using your example, I ask, did you create the materials for the room you are painting or even the house? Did you create the paint? Did you create your friend and bring all of these things into existence? NO. But Jehovah God did create the heavens and the earth and he even created Jesus himself. It is because of Jehovah God that all life and creation came to be. The name Jehovah means “He Causes to Become”. So, He can rightfully exclaim that He Alone created all things.
There is no objection to referring to Jesus as “God." Such would be in harmony with Jesus’ own quotation from the Psalms in which powerful men, judges, were addressed as “gods.” (John 10:34, 35Ps. 82:1-6) Of course, Christ occupies a position far higher than such men. Because of the uniqueness of his position in relation to Jehovah, at John 1:18 Jesus is referred to as “the only-begotten god.”
dan theman, then is Jesus a false God? He clearly said that He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Does this mean that Jesus is nothing but a pawn to God? Since Jesus clearly also mentioned that He Himself is the only access to the Father?
This was awesome. I need to start applying the "no switching subjects until resolved rule" with any belief.
This is so refreshing to me after having left this religion after years of believing this was the truth. I’m now a Christian.
I was just told by a JW that we Christians are aggressive and should be gentle.
Thanks so much for sharing. Very informative!!

Spot on.

(it’s obvious that no spirit creature would ever bow down and worship a human person.)
John 3:31 John the Baptizer mentions that the one who comes from above is above all.
As mentioned in John 1:1
When the clouds lifted up Jesus to heaven , he’s transformed back into spirit life as the God who created the heavens and the Earth and it is the one that the devil must worship.
You’re being deceived by the Jw
God name is universal and it cannot be translated, so it must be migrated from Hebrew.
In the Hebrew it does not say that Moses will be like a god to to Pharaoh
So in this instance Moses was a true god, or a true mighty one, but Moses was not The True Mighty One (The True God)
Jesus is a true god in that he is a mighty one, but Jesus never ever received "religious type worship" that belongs to the One True God.
@ Jehovah's Witnesses being happier than a pig in a trough when asked a question you are so on point LOL
Why do you suppose that is?
Technically you asked more than 1 question. You asked many questions to work up to the one 'special' question. Surprised the Jehovah's Witnesses didn't catch that. Haha. Good method. Questions help people think for themselves.

One Bible scripture that has been removed that you are probably familiar with is
(John chapter 7 vs 53)
JOHN ch 8 vs 1 thru 11
Their revised 80's Bible had footnote, but their 2013 revised has completely removed it.

When you say about identifying true religion why did the watchtower say religion is a racket and a snare? So you identify yourself as a religion too?

Psalm 83:18 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)
"May they know that you alone-

THANK YOU CLAY JONES 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
I hope anyone who used this argument was not embarrassed, when the realisation occurred, that this line of questioning is flawed.
What part of Jesus words at Luke 4:8 don’t you understand! “It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.” It is thru Jesus that we are able to worship Jehovah 'in spirit and truth'
Then why did the desciples worship Jesus?
Questions such as “Where did you happen to be when I founded the earth?” were evidently meant to stir Job’s thinking and emotions. After some of that intensive questioning, Job was left nearly speechless. He simply said: “What shall I reply to you? My hand I have put over my mouth.” (Job 38:4; 40:4) Job got the point and humbled himself. However, Jehovah was not merely teaching Job to be humble. Job’s thinking was also corrected.

So quit trying to impress with those no non- sense scriptures and take out some time to research. Titus 2:13:
RS reads: “Awaiting our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” (Similar wording is found in NE, TEV, JB.) However, NW reads: “while we wait for the happy hope and glorious manifestation of the great God and of the Savior of us, Christ Jesus.” (NAB has a similar rendering.)
Which translation agrees with Titus 1:4, which refers to “God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior”?
III, p. 421.

On his outer garment, yes, on his thigh, he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords. Revelation 19: 16 Its about Jesus.

Simple; John 14:28 sums it up. '' The father is greater than I'' Your welcome !
Is it true that Jws worship 2 God's? When the Bible says there is only one God.
In (John 14:7) If you know me, you also know my Father, from now on you do know him, and have seen him.
(v.9).....whoever has seen me has seen the Father
(v.10)...Don't you believe I am in the Father and the Father is in me?
Thought I might put in those important verses you may have accidentally on purpose left out. As you skipped to (verse 28)"...The Father is greater than I"
To keep it short the verses I used from John 14:7-10 are true. If you see Jesus you see the Father. Jesus and the Father are one.
And the verse stated by you in (John 14:28) is also true....that the Father is greater than I"
Why did Jesus say earlier on say "I am in the Father and and the Father is in me?"...then switch to....The Father is greater than I?

“Mighty God” and “Eternal Father” Part 2
Jesus never thought of himself as God Almighty, for he spoke of his Father as “the only true God,” that is, the only God who should be worshiped.
@@JMichelle777 Nice response.
Compare translations: www.biblestudytools.com/psalms/8-5-compare.html
Concordance: biblehub.com/interlinear/psalms/8-5.htm
So at Psalm 8:5 ʼelo·himʹ (gods) are angels. Angels are not like gods, they are gods,
Are angels true gods or false gods?
Any others referred to as “gods” must be either false or merely a reflection of the true God.
The context of Isaiah was speaking about false gods. Jehovah challenged the false gods of the nations to bring forth their witnesses, and he named Israel as his witness. (Isaiah 43:9,12) When he broke the bars of Israel’s exile, he proved that the gods of Babylon were no gods at all and that he is the only true God. (Isaiah 43:14,15)
Only Jehovah can predict future events with such accuracy. Only ‘the first and the last,’ who existed before all the false gods were thought of and will still be there when they are long forgotten, can do such a thing.
Isaiah 44:7
7 Who is there like me?
Let him call out and tell it and prove it to me!
From the time I established the people of long ago,
Let them tell both the things to come
And what will yet happen.
Although Jehovah was challenging the false gods, the lesser gods like Jesus did not know the day or hour.
Matthew 24:36 (NIV) “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,but only the Father. (The holy spirit did not know, only the Father)
At Revelation 1:1 Jesus is given a revelation from God.

Go to the concordance link and you will find word number 430 under the phrase “than the angels.”
Click on that number and it takes you to the page with the title “430. elohim.” That is why Psalm 8:5 in “The Bible in Basic English” translates angels as gods.
Matthew 11:27
27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one fully knows the Son except the Father; neither does anyone fully know the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son is willing to reveal him.
The holy spirit is personified as are wisdom, sin, death, righteousness, water and blood:
In Proverbs 1:20 wisdom is personified:
True wisdom cries aloud in the street.
It keeps raising its voice in the public squares
Luke 7:35
But wisdom is proved right by all her children.”
In Romans 5:17 death is personified as a king:
For if by the trespass of the one man death ruled as king through that one, how much more will those who receive the abundance of the undeserved kindness and of the free gift of righteousness rule as kings in life through the one person, Jesus Christ!
In Romans 5:21 sin is personified as king:
To what end? So that just as sin ruled as king with death, so also undeserved kindness might rule as king through righteousness leading to everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
At 1 John 5:6-8, not only the spirit but also “the water and the blood” are said to ‘bear witness.’
The holy spirit is never seen as a person on earth or in a vision of heaven.
The Holy Spirit will come upon you
and the power of the Highest will overshadow you.

According to Proverbs 8:22-31 there was only 2 persons present during the creation of the world.
And when he marked off the earth’s foundations, 30 I was the architect at his side. Do you think water, blood, and sin are persons?
The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one”
Jesus shares his glory with his disciples. Using trinity logic, if Jesus is God then his disciples must also be God. So God must be many persons in 1 God if they are all one and shares glory. This would exclude the holy spirit from being God. Only the Father, Jesus and his disciples are said to be all one, all part of some mysterious godhead.
The Catholic theologian Walter Farrell noted:
“The mystery of the Trinity, as God has told it to us, is the mystery of three divine persons, really distinct, in one and the same divine nature: coequal, coeternal, consubstantial, one God. The man who attempts to unravel the mystery is in the position of a near-sighted man straining his eyes from the Eastern Shore of Maryland for a glimpse of Spain.”
He implies that it is impossible to know the God whom one worships.
Ancient Babylon started the trinities of:
Nimrod, Tammuz, Simerimas
and
Shamash, Sin, Ishtar.
Then the other pagan religions copied them.
Egypt: Osiris, Horus, Isis
Greece: Zeus, Apollo, Athena
India: Brahama, Vishnu, Shiva
Rome: Jupiter, Mars, Venus
At the Council of Constantinople in 381 A.D. apostate Christendom copied the pagans in the 4th century by making the Father, Son, holy spirit into a trinity.
- 1 Peter 3:15
There is no defense for the trinity.

Matthew 11:27
27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one fully knows the Son except the Father; neither does anyone fully know the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son is willing to reveal him.
But if the holy spirit were a person, the 3rd person of the godhead, wouldn't he also fully know the Father and Son?
If the trinity was a true doctrine, it would mean Jesus lied.

1. The Father is JHWH God;
2. Acts 5:4 refers to the Spirit as "God";
3. In John 20:28 Jesus is called God. So three persons are called God in the New Testament.

The Academic J Bergman in "The Cultic Study Review" (2002, Volume 1, No.
(see Fred Franz 1954, Court of Sessions, Edinburgh.) pocketanswers.net/JW_Fred_Franz_Trial.htm

Acts 5:3 and Hebrews 3:7
He is the only way through which we are able to approach Jehovah God. Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
Accordingly, true Christians do well to direct their worship only to Jehovah God, the Almighty.

TheVelvetteButterfly TheVelvetteButterfly , I looked up the Grandville Sharp rule, and I found a number of respected Trinitarian‘s recognize that there was problems with the Grandville Sharp rule, and I copied off a quote from them , here it is ;
There are problems with the Granville Sharp “Rule.” First, it is impossible to prove that it was a rule of grammar at the time of the Apostle Paul. Nigel Turner, a Trinitarian, writes:
Unfortunately, at this period of Greek we cannot be sure that such a rule is really decisive. Sometimes the definite article is not repeated even when there is a clear separation in idea. [1]
Buzzard writes about Titus 2:13, also supposedly an example of the Granville Sharp rule:
A wide range of grammarians and Biblical scholars have recognized that the absence of the definite article before “our Savior Jesus Christ” is quite inadequate to establish the Trinitarian claim that Jesus is here called ‘the great God’ (p. 130).
Butterfly , did you know that Jesus never even claimed to be god,?
TheVelvetteButterfly , Jesus specifically said that his father was greater than him at john 14:28
Summersblues1 Of course his father was greater because Jesus was also a man. Jesus has 2 natures, Devine and human.
But you also need to be a critical thinker so that you know the answers to your questions actucally come from the Bible and thus true.
Also, he is before all things and BY MEANS of him all things were made to exist. It is because of God’s will that all things “existed and were created.” Rev 4:11. Jehovah, who has existed for all time, was alone before creation had a beginning.
he is the mediator .. Just like going to by food from the groceries stores. YOU pick up want you want to buy and then you pay at the counter.. They represent the store!! LIFE
“God . . . created all things.” (Eph.
Interesting viewpoint, but I think there are nicer ways to communicate with them and get them to think.
Really? You want JWs to jump from one set of fiction/reality to another set? 😂😂😂😂
An idol is an IMAGE, a REPRESENTATION of anything, or a SYMBOL that is an object of passionate devotion, whether material or imagined. Not All Images Are Idols. God’s law not to form images (Ex 20:4, 5) did not rule out the making of all representations and statues. This is indicated by Jehovah’s later command to make two golden cherubs on the cover of the Ark and to embroider representations of cherubs on the inner tent.
l don't understand what this guy is trying to prove? Can someone explain it to me in laymen's terms?
JW say there are 2 true Gods. Bible says there is 1 true God. That's it.
JW try to get around "no God besides me" in Isaiah 43:10 by saying Jesus is a true little god and the Father is a true big God but there are no capital letters in the original Hebrew.
JW try to get around this by saying judges, Satan, and Moses were called gods in the Bible but none of those are true Gods.
JW then contradict themselves by quoting other passages that say there is only 1 true God.
JW then get angry and go to next house. The end.
@@timd3895 So his message is one true god? Why didn't he say so, he just kept rambling and l kept waiting and waiting to see what his message is.
@@timd3895 So Witnesses worship two gods? From my observation in America most people worship Money$$$.
(Ge 23:6; 42:10; Nu 11:28; 2Sa 1:10; 2Ki 8:10-12; Mt 27:63)
Abraham was not god because Sarah called him lord.
Jesus is referred to as lord not God in many scriptures. For examples:
Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess Jesus Christ is Lord (NOT God).
1 Corinthians 15:24-28
24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.
@@RJWM1999
Notice Isa 9:6 is a prophecy.
I will not believe [Jesus is God].”
No, the context of John 20:24, 25, and 29 shows that Thomas refused to believe that Jesus had been resurrected from the dead.
(See the SF study; also OMN 3-5.)
Therefore, since no man has ever directly seen God (who is the Father only - John 5:37, 6:46; 17:1, 3) but men have only indirectly “seen” God through representations such as visions, dreams, etc., Jesus is saying: “Believe I have been resurrected and that I am obviously not God because you see me directly (and even touch me so you can be sure I’m not a vision or an indirect representation).”
What about the rest of the context?
(Be sure to compare 1 John 5:5.)
Or, as the trinitarian The NIV Study Bible, Zondervan, 1985, states in a footnote for this scripture:
“This whole Gospel is written to show the truth of Jesus’ Messiahship and to present him as the Son of God, so that the readers may believe in him.”
Obviously, neither Jesus’ response, nor Thomas’ responses (before and after his statement at John 20:28), nor John’s summation of the event at 20:31 recognizes Thomas’ statement to mean that Jesus is the only true God!
It is obvious from this scripture alone that Jesus and the writer of the Gospel of John do not believe Jesus is equally God with the Father!)
This may be, then, one of those places where the idioms of an ancient language are not completely understood by modern translators.
As the Encyclopaedia Britannica, 14th ed., vol. 13, p. 25, puts it:
"And it is not certain that even the words Thomas addressed to Jesus (Jn. 20:28) meant what they suggest in the English Version." - (Britannica article by Rev. Charles Anderson Scott, M.A., D.D. Dunn Professor of New Testament, Theological College of the Presbyterian Church of England, Cambridge.)
And John M. Creed, as Professor of Divinity at the University of Cambridge, wrote:
“‘my Lord and my God’ (Joh.xx.28) is still not quite the same as an address to Christ as being without qualification God, and it must be balanced by the words of the risen Christ himself ...
“He who conquers, ...

They probably think that you are lost and that is why they go round the doors and witness publicly. How often can that be said of most "Christians?!
@@nsr5961 may I ask what your sound scriptural reasoning on this videos topic is? How do you reconcile believing in 2 true Gods?
Doesn't 2 John 1:10 tell us not to let those bringing a different message into our home?
God also says in isiah there is no savour except me. Isiah 43 11
He said: “I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me I speak these things.” Then he added: “I always do the things pleasing to him.” (John 8:28, 29)
exactly, jehovah witnesses dont teach that jesus is a god, more like the son of god who would act just like god in the flesh.
Wow
Consider the parable Jesus gave of the slave who was unable to repay a substantial sum of money to his master. A form of this Greek word appears in this parable, and in translating it the King James Version says that “the servant therefore fell down, and worshipped [form of pro•sky•ne′o] him saying, Lord, ..(Matthew 18:26) Was this man committing an idolatrous act?
What false dates,
You come from hundreds of ethnic backgrounds but the 144k seats in heaven filled up in 1935 by 95% white American and Europeans.
*Ephesians 2:8-9* (by Grace through faith you have been saved, not of works)
*John 3:16* (but faith in Jesus we have eternal life, something JW don't believe since they think Jesus is first and _last_ one made immortal but the rest of us even in paradise are not immortal)
*Isaiah 64:6* (our righteous is as filthy as rags.)
*John 6* - (what must we do to gain eternal life? The work of God is that your believe in Jesus.)
Excellent verses to memorize or have in mind for discussion with JW.
That the only thing that identifies "true Christians" from "counterfeit Christians ", is John 1:1 .
LIFE
There is no objection to referring to Jesus as “God." Such would be in harmony with Jesus’ own quotation from the Psalms in which powerful men, judges, were addressed as “gods.” (John 10:34, 35Ps.
