@@p.a.gaming3082 If you don't go past page one of a Giovanni special research you're able to receive the new one when that comes out, otherwise you will have to complete the current one to receive the new one. But this time Niantic sneakily baked the Giovanni research into Galar Calling which we really couldn't have prepared for. Sneaky sneaky Niantic...

@@p.a.gaming3082 the research will give you rocket radar’s. If you don’t go past the first page of research you can stack all the radars you get from the pages. It’s a strat a lot of people do when there’s a takeover in the near future.

Big fail with Niantic making a Giovani encounter only possible through progression of the Galar calling quest - instead of making it a separate takeover quest. Looks like I won’t be getting a Heatran

It's like 3rd time happening. Tip: when you see researches pausing for some time and a Team Rocket event coming up it's 100% part of that research.

heatran will be in giovanni's rotation until next season. but it'll be stuck with frustration if you can't get it before the takeover event ends in a couple days. otherwise, it will cost quite a bit of candies/stardust to unlock a normal move slot.
