Bernard Smith is a amazing snare drum teacher for The Atlanta Drum Academy and Jasmine plays the snare drum for Atlanta Drum Academy as well. This teacher vs. student battle is pretty amazing and we are sure the student learned a lot and got better during this exchange of snare drum beats. Mr. Bernard has played for Cream Percussion, Norfolk State, Drumline Live, The Atlanta Hawks drum line and he's the current captain for The Atlanta Braves Heavy Hitter Drum Line. Don't you love it when other people are entitled to other peoples videos
The purpose of this video is to see two people compete and show their talent on drums, people who watch this came to appreciate that talent, but unfortunately gets squandered by the unnecessary and over playing background music. It's not entitlement, it just defeats the purpose of listening to the cool drum beat, while having that music playing louder.

While she is good, he (of course) has better control. He can speed up or slow down without losing the overall timing. She's a bit show-offy but still better than most. My honey is a drummer. & I like what someone else said about the force still being with the Jedi master.

drummer boy @Nick Bryant. Both would be interesting. I doubt the marching snare players would have much ability on the set, Same with the set players on the snare. Especially snare players going to the kit, it’s a whole new ball game. I play both, but my snare playing dosent really compete with my kit chops. It’s hard to find people who can play both, good anyway.

@Nick Bryant what I meant is battle the same way you are playing the snare now. Get another drumset to the one I'm sure they have or can put together and show the skill it takes to play now using the body.
@@marquitareed7911 okay didn't know. All I seen was two playing the snare. I took band all through school and church and have a set at home. Not trying to say that they can't play a full set but let's put in more work and see it. See how sweet you really are coping the other drummer on a kit. They did well just want to up the challenge. I would have. It was a great video.

I don't think you could say anybody lost this battle. I could say one may have a little more experience than the other.. no losers here two gifted individuals.
As a guitarist, you make me respect the drummers even more, I take my hat off to all the drummers. When i beat the drum for 30 seconds I give up. One of the hardest instrument I ever played. Talking about stamina.
