I’ve never fished there but family member recently bought a home near the lake. My understanding is the fish are smaller than Cayuga or Seneca. Google AI shows 20” average.
What livescope package should I buy for Lake Tahoe , jigging 80 to 200 ft deep I want you to let me know what livescope I should buy and screen , don't need maps , I have maps on other sonar
If you have a Garmin head unit already then livescope plus would be the cheapest. If you need the whole setup go to summit fishing equipment and buy a package. For that depth I'd use livescope XR but that's $2500 more
So 200 khz is faster and has a smaller search area about 15 degrees. Chirp uses a frequency range which is actually better but some sonars dont have it
What device are you using to record your helm footage? My video comes out like utter shite. Do you ever have issues with it? Mine skips and has complete trash resolution. So sick of it I’m probably going to pony up for an 8612 for best resolution and an hdmi out.
I'm using a GPS map 923 and active captain helm app to record. I have had issues with it freezing. When's the last time you did an update? Also the GPSmap 12 inch has HDMI and cheaper than the 8xxx series
My 2d sonar is saying I'm in a 185ft of water. I am not jigging directly on my trans duper. I will next time. But what I'm getting at my line counting reel is saying I'm in 210ft of water. Am I 9n a ledge?
Hitting the lake for lakers saturday. First time in my new boat with sonar. Perfect video
Good luck!!
Always learn something new from your videos. I know what bait balls look like but I didnt know the lake trout looking things were actually bait. :)
It's super common!
Thanks for the video…im going to try this tomorrow!
Good luck
I’m going to fish Kueka a few times a year. I’m most likely to be fishing summer or early fall. Which of your bait kits would be best for that lake?
How big are the Lakers on average?

What mhz do you have your 2D sonar set for this?
I can never see fish like this on mine. I did recently set the tranducer angle correct (hopefully).
I'm running in khz 200 or chirp. The transducer should be parallel with the water surface when the boat is loaded and in the water
@@BendItFishing So, 200khz and chirp are different?
Why use one over the other?

How do you find Navionics maps, I googled it and couldn't find it?
Look up Garmin marine maps or boating maps
What bait would mark as large as a small laker? Smelt?
A bunch of smelt together or a bass if your shallow enough
@@BendItFishing Thanks very much. I do mark a lot of fish that don't follow!

That's a pretty big dead spot. I also wouldnt trust the line counter to be perfect
What kind of 2d sonar do you have? And what is the best setting for jigging.
@stevemorelli5265 Garmin gt54 transducer I'm running on 200 khz chirp
