She’s done Make a Wish among other charitable organizations, she’s given money to her back up singer for a life saving operation. The two times I met her she showed me such compassion. Knowing her life story, her struggles and how she deals with her celebrity status, I know this is the true Mariah: a heart of GOLD!!

Public impressions can be misleading. Behind closed doors is what most of the public does not see. And speaking of helping others, like her backup singer, she could of done the same thing for her sister Alison a few years back when Alison nearly died from a home invasion being thrown down the stairs and had surgeries for that. Most people if in Mariah’s shoes would do the same thing donating millions to charity, BUT to turn a blind eye on your sister no matter what the sister did in the past all because she’s hold a grudge on her? She’s blood, all the others are not. In your eyes Mariah does not get paid for appearances of other charities? Just because a person meets a person a celebrity like her, does not make that celebrity have a true persona that her fans believe her to be. Behind the scenes is another story that most people will never see. Everyone has their opinions, I see her as phony pretending to be nice and caring like with her camp out in public. The diva attitude is real not fake like most of her fans believe.

I remember when she was starting out she mentioned Camp Mariah in her interviews. Glad to know this project is still going after so many years and that she's still a part of it. This is a side of Mariah that a lot of people don't know.

Mariah, like any other person, is a human being. When she's on TV she's on work mode and puts her diva on for entertainment.
However, there's dozens of videos such as this one. To be honest, it really depends on the questions she is asked.
Take her interview last year for Genius, it was 1 hour long and all about her as an artist. There, you could see the real Mariah,exactly the same eloquent woman who hasn't changed that much in 30 years.
I love this woman because she's stayed in touch with her inner child and publicly smiled through all personal obstacles. She's a genuine person who's been through a lot and chooses to make life easier by making it pink and full of rainbows ;)
