Sometimes fighters just have one of those nights where everything is on point and flawless. Mcgregor vs Alvarez is an example. Garbrandt vs Cruz is another example. Both weren’t the same ever again though, I don’t think it’s able to keep that up for much more than one night.
Garbrandt/Cruz had me wondering if Cody was gonna regret his showboating but he pulled it off. Conor/Alvarez on the other hand looked just dominant for Conor. Like every few seconds we saw Eddie on the ground. Rose almost had a performance like that her last fight but got slammed. If Rose could've kept it going I would say hers was the best with the she moved ultra fluid and fast. That being said Conors win over Eddie was probably best performance. My top performance would be Gsp vs Serra 2 but that was like mma master vs man on the street so that doesn't count. Maybe Holloway/Ortega as well but I can't remember how close the first couple rounds were.
@@ASLackey22 I agree 100%. GSP Vs Serra 2 was just pure skill. It erased all doubt about who was the best of the two and made it clear that the first fight was a fluke for Serra. The Holloway vs Ortega fight was brutal though. Ortega did land some big shots now and then, but Max was waaaay too much too early. The Conor vs Eddie fight is the most dominant performance i've ever seen though. And you can't call it a fluke like when Conor knocked out Aldo. Just pure dominance for 2 straight rounds against a killer in Alvarez.
@@knuckle-sandwichmma681 I'd have to watch it back. The thing i do remember though, is the rounds Cody won were extremely dominant with knockdowns right and left and insane head movement. The rounds Cruz may have won must've been very close rounds.
Yeah man that Conor vs Eddie fight was one of those moments which I would like to say that define the sport of MMA. Now saying this there will be definitely some Khabib hardcore fans coming and saying stuff like " muh you conor d*k rider or what? " the answer is: No. I don't worship anyone, not even myself. For me the best performance in MMA history is unquestionably Cody Garbrandt vs Dominick Cruz. Cruz was the greatest Bantamweight of all time going into that fight and Garbrandt schooled him in every aspect of the fight.
Randy Couture vs Chick Liddell 1: unbelievable performance by Randy against a very dangerous champion. He took him down, beat him up, had no issues with Chuck's strikes and power. That's a true performance
Great question! Intimidating is a real part of fighting. Also the bully can be frightened by someone whom is not afraid. My favorite part was when Chael speaks to motivation. Trying to bully some guys will turn them into a fighter. Some guys can go the other way of course. I made a couple guys that were bigger than me realize I was not afraid. They then showed that they were afraid. I but a dude one time and he literally stopped fighting, went to pick his clothes up off the train tracks in the subway. He started off trying to impose his will. When he saw the resistance, he retreated. So sometimes power can change intent.
That was on of the most dominate performance from one high class fighter to another. Eddie v Conor or Khabib v Barbosa are the most dominance I’ve seen in a fight
Although that barboza headkick rocked him I’d say Kevin lee’s performance was much more dominating if at least as dominating as khabibs performance. He definitely did more damage
Fizzah - PS4 - Music for sure, I remember they stoped that fight, Khabib only had 3 rounds while Lee had 5. I hate seen Barbosa getting battered like that. He’s probably my favorite Brazilian fight who’s fought everybody at 55.
that wasn't a complete domination like mcgregor vs alvarez. I'm not saying that masvidal was lucky with that knee on askren but there was no pure domination in that fight.

6:00 right after Chael mentions jones good subs he says there no good subs on the feet, Jones Machida. Against the fence choked to sleep dropped to the floor lifeless, wicked scary in the words of Dan Hardy!
one of my favourite finishes that one love the way he just drops him. never get tired of seeing it
Hard to believe this is going on two years old I always come back and watch Chael talk about mike Tyson and Conor McGregor not sure why I love that monologue so much it’s what made me a big fan of the channel
"max has changed his game to touch you all night long"
OK great.
Chael’s performance against anderson silva in the first fight was one of the best as well
Agree. Plus Silva Vs Griffin. Silva Vs Franklin.
We both have accomplished a lot in this sport. It’s the hardest sport in the world yet people don’t respect the fighters.
Get rid of your name and stop trying to act like 2 people SNOWFLAKE
Preston Moore relax. I think I detect a little bit of sarcasm and possibly a satirical vibe from that name. Sounds like your the one who’s triggered by it. Wouldn’t that make you a snow flake)
Bacon Grease nah, it’s just weird
Bacon Grease the snowflake thing is dumb though, it’s not snowflake-y, just weird. Doesn’t seem sarcastic or funny at all, lol, but that’s IMO.
Not for nothing but I'm really loving Chael. I love 2 hear him speak he makes a lot of sense and is as real as it gets. I could watch him and Rogan all day!!!
Jones submitted Lyoto standing. So there's that
He makes a point about the juice though
@Brek Dimmick you just described micro dosing. Do you think you need to take pounds of steroids for it to be effective? Lol
That’s an anomaly though. It doesn’t happen often
@Brek Dimmick Lyoto uses his own piss as a PED and USADA does nothing
@Brek Dimmick You're probably the same type of casual that beleives the pulsing story too LOL
Google micro dosing you filthy casual lmao
I love when Chael goes off on juiced Jones. You can't lie, it was a lil suspect when he walked out there like Cheick Congo against Cormier.
I'm with you, Chael, on Conor's greatest ever performance against Eddie. That performance to me is not talked about enough
Uncle Chael blesses us with all this content
Nate Diaz over Donald Cerrone was the best performance I ever saw.
6:37
*Uncle Chael. You Dirty Boy!* 🤣
The greatest ever performance was TJ vs Barao 1
@PIDGE True, it's a shame there's forever going to be an asterisk next to that incredible performance. Although it's pretty clear that Barao was on gear as well.
Chael really has such infectious enthusiasm for the sport. You can tell he loves every aspect of it. A man who truly found his calling. Mucho appreciado, Chael!,
If Gus was still around I would like to see him vs Adesanya.
I’d agree on best performance... there is I’m sure more examples.. but yeah Connor vs Alvarez.. it is a complete display of confidence and pure belief in ones skills and ability..
Me: strike
Uncle Chael: shtrike
Me: history
Uncle Chael: hishtory
Me: okay great
Barely any ads!!! Thanks Chael!!!
Ferguson vs Nurmagomedov should’ve been booked before April. April 1st is going to be filled with pranks about the fight being called off.
Well it will now dude coz you just gave everybody the idea 😂
politically incorrect what makes it worse is that Ferguson being pulled from the last fight was actually announced on April 1st. :[
It’s not hard to believe psychological warfare works and feelings are hurt in a sport populated by people who took it up to stand up to bully’s. See how low self esteem doesnt just stop. Must be nice being chael.
Also check your white male privilege.
Can we get a fan Q&A with Uncle Chael in a Santa hat this year? Or a fireplace story..
It is a treat to see you speak. MMA was blessed to have a fighter like you and now we are blessed to have a speaker like you.
Finally someone within the industry comes out and says it how it is. Jon Jones of 3 years ago doesn't beat the Jon of today because that Jon was juiced up.
I think you mean Jon of 3 years ago whoops Jon of today's ass
Penn v Sanchez comes close for GOAT performance-
was a total dismantling of Sanchez when he was a legit contender.
Look at the stats for that fight, better still watch it. Penn destroyed him for 4 rounds before saying ''f**k this' and just scalped him.
I like that title 👌
He's Back
Chael is 100% correct I say all the time that performance by McGregor was the best ever especially that last combination he landed on Eddie Alvarez insane !!!!
*Chael remember yu said Aldo would “ run through “ mcgregor ?*
I offer u this still doubt him too smh
I hate it when everybody is roasting someone in a comment thread so you scroll back to the top to see what that person said and they've deleted their comment... like tf bro I wanted to read that
Were do you do te fan questions?? I have so many questions but dont know were you resive them.
I wish to know the same thing
@@sergiofeijoo4638 yeah I need to know
Silva vs Sonnen in my eyes was one of the best matches ever!!!!
Chael "touch you all night" Sonnen
sounds romantic
him knocking out aldo was pretty fucking amazing. it was so shocking though you could almost not comprehend what had just occured
Ironic Jones actually did submit an opponent while standing
The guy who said boxing vs MMA extravaganza was a genius and I would absolutely love what he suggested
Maybe Holloway/Ortega as well but I can't remember how close the first couple rounds were.
not really. Cody did good but he lost 2/5 rounds.
These videos are entertaining and great👍 Keep it up! Found your channel today and after 2 videos I instantly subbed👍
Conor fcked up a couple of times outside the cage but that Eddie Alvarez fight was just that which Nietzsche would describe as that what one can be. Conor was the ultimate potential that night.
“One stop shop” would mean he has everything , not just striking lol but I’m sure everyone understood 😉
I think the phrase he meant was "One trick pony"
Nice video man. Actually really like this style of a q&a
Oh god here we go and we are still a month away.
josh colbert what do you suggest is the greatest performance?
@@Jopade1877 Henry cejudo making a comeback against Moraes comes to mind....khabib destroying & humiliating McGregor comes to mind....holly holm defeating Ronda with a masterful performance......alex Trujillo vs jaime varner.....jose aldo leg kicking urijah Faber to submission.....I could keep going , if you agree with chael you're most likely a casual...now if McGregor wouldve done what he did to Eddie to khabib then we are talking but it was Eddie alvarez so naw
@@Jopade1877 I can probably find 30 this year better one that comes to mind is Cody manhandling Cruz he made him look like a amateur that fight was far far far better performance than this fight lol.
Chael Sonnen Vs. Nate Marquardt
Chael Sonnen Vs. Brian Stann
Chael Sonnen Vs. Michael Bisping
Chael Sonnen Vs. Shogun Rua
Chael Sonnen Vs. Paulo Filio
Chael Sonnen Vs. Rampage
Chael Sonnen Vs. Any Silva
Chael Sonnen Vs. Anyone ever
I had a dream Jon submitted Machida on the feet but Chael says there are none on the feet so....
The number of people pointing this out without reading comments is astonishing.
Well Chael, Your are such a huge fan of fighting and I think that is what makes your show so awesome. More so than your ring experience.
Chael, Cody dismantling Cruz making him look like a amateur is a way way way better performance than this fight, no way you could say different.
Watch your tongue when speaking that way to Uncle Chael. I'm telling you this for your own safety. If I were you,I would turn the location off on your phone.
@@justinclayton1573 Phew thankfully i'm on my laptop.
@@joshcolbert5613 you not even safe there
@@joshcolbert5613 Relocate to the North or South Pole,it's your only chance.
For me the best performance in MMA history is unquestionably Cody Garbrandt vs Dominick Cruz. Cruz was the greatest Bantamweight of all time going into that fight and Garbrandt schooled him in every aspect of the fight.
No, Jones said he wanted to beat Thiago at his own game.
lol if thago's leg wasnt so fucked for most of the fight jones 100% was going to lose. over rated juice head, nothing more.
Bad Guy Inc: real company, giant biceps
The Money Team: decal
Tony Ferguson the type of guy to try to feed a bus to a carrot
Randy Couture vs Chick Liddell 1: unbelievable performance by Randy against a very dangerous champion. He took him down, beat him up, had no issues with Chuck's strikes and power. That's a true performance
I keep hearing these rumors theres supposedly a sign behind chaels arm. personally i dont believe it
Great question!
Joshua Torres what about Colby Covington vs Robbie lawler have you ever watched it buddy
Preston Moore yeh at 2pm when it showed, I don’t know why I forgot that 1
Mad respect for you Chael!!!!! "Never piss off a gangster!!!!"
How is masvidal askren not the greatest performance ever ?😂😂😂
that wasn't a complete domination like mcgregor vs alvarez. I'm not saying that masvidal was lucky with that knee on askren but there was no pure domination in that fight.
@@skelkelian you want me to name the most complete domination fight check out conor s last fight
Serop Kelkelian the fact that he was practicing that knee it’s complete domination for me actually complete obliteration..
Serop Kelkelian but I see what ur saying 😂
Chael “Max will touch you up all night” Sonnen
Naw the best performance was by Ben Askren’s head to the knee
One if the best spots but not performance imo
Mr Chael can we get a special look back at MMA and what stands out in your mind for 2019.Thank You for considering
Khabib is 100x the man McGregor is.
Whatever
