Wanting to join NATO is not why they were invaded. Listen to Putin’s invasion speech. He specifically says he wants the “demilitarization and denazification” of Ukraine. As there weren’t and aren’t Nazis in power in Ukraine, the second goal is not achievable. The first goal is, but the exact opposite has happened. Ukraine is more militarized than ever, thanks to the West. Putin can achieve the first goal by merely withdrawing.

After Ukraine violated the first Minsk agreement and then the second Minsk agreement and then admitting they were only buying time. And then after again tearing up the agreements made in Turkey, I think Russia has very good reasons not to trust the Ukranians and their puppet masters in the west.

What a weird concept. You cannot "pay" for annexation of territory by "spilling blood". The annexation of Crimea, Luhansk etc. is and has always been illegal. International law is very clear about that. Some of the territories Putin declared to be Russian are not even under control of the Russian invasion army, the only blood spilled in Zaporizhzhia and other cities and regions is that of Ukrainian citizens killed by Russian bombs.

Great initial step but sadly after 500 B looses. The questions to ask are
1.) How would Russia and Ukraine look if they had spend that 500 B towards their own countries welfare ?
2.) Why no two neighboring countries have friendly ties (issues are territory, religion, need superiority) ?

Wars against terrorism is acceptable but war between countries is stupidity at the highest level. NATO is a US strategy to sell arms and also to reduce/share their defense spending. Intelligently NATO did not include Ukraine as a member during this war as they had to start fighting immediately and sadly this was not understood by Ukraine. Support to Taiwan & Pakistan by the US is for territorial power to keep China in their view. USA's friendship with Saudi and wars by the US in Libya, Iran, Iraq are for oil but surprisingly no one will sanction US. EU still buys lot of oil and gas from Russia as they need it for their own domestic consumption but sanctions Russia on all the other products that they have alternative sources. So double standards by the US, EU and religious fanatics madness is crippling the world economy and making the world unsafe.

Zelensky is very young to tell Putin how peace deal will look like 😢 if Ukraine finally adhere to Russia's terms, it will be pointless to have fought such a long war with so many casualties
Ukraine will have no choice. Any peace plan that would be acceptable to Russia would include the inclusion of Odessa as a Russian oblast along with other areas, a demilitarize zone which, depending on what hardware sent by the west, could very well be in excess of 50 km, a guarantee of no NATO membership. I really do not expect Zelensky to be around in another 6 months.
Not a hope in hell of Russia accepting any terms except thier own and that is exactly the same as from day one. Ukraine has to be neutral and be of no further threat to Russia, they also want the Nazi's removed from power, if this does not happen Russia will continue wearing down Ukraine forces until they reach Kiev and beyond as far as the Polish border if necessary. They have no intention of facing a rematch in a few years time.

I feel this war will end so bad for Ukraine and Ukraine will be split into two countries West Ukraine and East Ukraine. What is in for Russia to waste money and sacrifice men to win a land then give it back while losing its foreign assets due to sanctions. I don’t think Ukraine can negotiate anything here, it will be a negotiation between US and Russia. Mostly, it would end with Russia getting what it has occupied so far with some sanctions lifted and US companies will rebuild West Ukraine with US aid which is basically printed dollars.

This was never about NATO. Pootin planned the invasion of Georgia in 1999 (while he was PM) and the invasion of Ukraine no later than 2003.
