The TW200 is no joke. During my motorcycle class I outpaced everyone but that’s not because I was learning faster, it was because the TW200 was doing the riding for me. I thought to myself “this is NOT a beginner bike, I should really go for the Turbo Busa instead”. Low and behold, I’m bored with the Turbo Busa, chasing that first feeling when I rode the TW200.
In all seriousness the TW200 is actually a really good bike, highly recommend it.

I absolutely love seeing this kind of content on the channel!! I've said it before on this channel, but the entire reason I got into riding was Because watching your videos finally convinced me to do what I had been wanting for years! Living in Colorado, getting a duel sport only made sense! I have loved the few months I got to ride my new crf300l before the snow really set in! Seeing content makes me feel a lot more at home watching videos of rides I can relate to rather than always seeing road or track videos!

Tdubs are great. I liked how you finished with a simple air cooled thumper. Personally, I own a plated 01 XR250R and uncle owns a plated 08 CRF230. Both are awesome bikes. His bike shreds now he's put new suspension on it, lengthened the swingarm, moved back the foot pegs, and put a fmf header on it. I like plated dirt bikes better as dual sports from the factor come too heavy. My old XR250R (really a 277cc) will eat a CRF300L offroad and on road. Great content, KEEP the dual sport stuff coming!

I wish they made a larger aftermarket tank. They have one available, but it's only a 0.3 gallon upgrade, and it's over $400.
The stock headlight is horrible. I replaced it with the LED, cheap and easy to install.

That would likely make a fine bike to take me into retirement. I didn't need the 650 back then but the XR 400 was near it's end and slow. But its perfect for beating the shit out of it in the woods, enduro trials, or wherever you can find to ride, then riding it home after.

Even with the soft suspension, I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how capable it is off road! I’ve taken it down pretty gnarly 4x4 trails that were rutted out like crazy and gotten up some stuff I honestly didn’t think the bike was capable of. It’s kind of a tractor.
People definitely undersell it in my opinion.

I've never ride a dirt bike/supermoto before but I really like the supermoto builds. I've used to own a Yamaha RX100 and I've ride duke 390 a lot and other motorcycles smaller than a duke 390. But somehow I really like a light weight super flexible bike I mean flickable bike like a RX100, but recently sold it. Now I'm thinking about building a supermoto based on a duke 390 but not just changing the tyres even build a new frame to keep it lighter. A 390 weighs around 180 kilograms. So everyone who ride a 390 and a sumo before , how would it be if a duke 390 engine in swapped into a sumo build like your sumo's engine is swapped with a duke 390 engine?

@@metalsadman He mentions the 690, essentially the same bike as the 701 with minor differences. I own a KTM EXCF 350 and a 690 enduro in rally trim. the 690/701 is heavy offroad even stock (I've got an added 4gal of fuel rally nav stuff as well) and definitely feels like it compared to the 500/501, and the 350 feels lighter and more agile even then (but is marginally lighter than the 500/501). IMHO 701 is a better bike if you're 70/30 road/dirt, mostly riding fire roads or BDR/TAT as "dirt". The 501 is really great for desert riding or ultralight 10/90 road/dirt ADV where you can have 50 to 100 mile straight aways to blast at 70-90mph on. The 350 is a better all around bike as its harder to whiskey throttle the bike to infinity on more technical terrain, but its lacking punch in stock form compared to a stock 500, after some mods a 350 can make ~45hp. I did LAB2V last year, and I will probably again this year, and I am still happy to ride it on my coked out KMT 350 EXCF, I won't ride my 690 on that ride. If you are looking for a cheaper ~330lb ADV bike check out the AJP PR7, outside of the 690/701 the PR7 the only thing in that weight range with any kind of punch but its lacking that compared to the 690/701.
