Even with the xenos as reinforcements they kept getting pushed back, for the first time in his long service as chapter master of the Ultramarines he had never seen such a desperate situation. More of his brothers continued to fall to the demonic horde all to protect their defenseless father. As Calgar looked at his sleeping father once again he saw that which he feared most, the arch-magos Cawl and the Aeldari emissary Yvraine standing next to Guilliman, Cawl was tinkering with a strange suit of armor while Yvraine got ready to cut the wires keeping the stasis field active. Calgar dispatched of his current adversary and rushed forward trying to protect his gene-sire. He was almost there when he was stopped by the head Pysker of the Ultramarines, Varro Tigurius, he tried to push past his traitorous brother but couldn't make it in time as Yvraine cut the cords keeping Guilliman alive and the stasis field faded and died. The rage within Calgar boiled over and he went to wring the neck of the Eldar when Cawl finally finished his work and the life-saving armor wrapped around the Primarch. As Calgar leapt forward to attack the Eldar screaming curses and words of resentment, suddenly the eyes of Roboute Guilliman opened and for the first time in a millenium he stood. Roboute scanned the battle as every warrior froze and watched the ancient warrior. One Khornate berserker rushed forward with two chainaxes revving but was smacked aside by the Primarch. Guilliman unsheathed the fiery broadsword that had slain many a demon and entered the fray. And all that witnessed his rise knew that the Imperium was saved, for the avenging son had returned.
