Okay, it's my turn to write an epic
War, war never changes... Another mortal imagines himself to be a god, capable of judging some and exalting others. Conquering the world with fire and sword on the shoulders of loyal soldiers and frightened people.
You were a simple warrior of his army, who firmly believed that the ruler brings peace and prosperity to everyone, and not death and slavery. But you saw the truth with your own eyes and rebelled. Turned against brothers in arms. You thought you were the only one, but you were wrong. Many saw your premer and followed you. They betrayed their people, but not humanity.
You went into battle under the cries of curses, having lost everything. Saved, spared those who hated you for betrayal.
They died for this, but by their sacrifice they opened the eyes of their people, gave hope. They showed that a better world is not built by conquest, but by mercy, even towards enemies. Many will call you traitors, but for future generations you are heroes. And heroes can't die.

Safe the World and the Wonder on this Planet
No Price is to high, for our World we live in!
The sad truth about Heros is that the ones that changed the world the most died early or they weren't even known, they lived in the shadows attacked from them and died alone and forgotten but they saved billions of lives with their sacrifice.
Whenever there is light, darkness will always try to find a way in,
whenever you have something you want to protect, it opens the chance of it being robbed from you,
Those you love will always be the ones who hurt you the most,
For every victor and victory, there must be a loser,
Sometimes, it is easier to cry on your knees than to face the truth: that even after all you could do, you still were not strong enough.

I played this music for my players in an tabletop RPG to narrate the sacrifice of an NPC they had just met two hours ago. I almost choked on my tears as I narrated the scene and my players have been in shock for several minutes. Never underestimate the power of the right music at the right time.

Sometimes I feel like my life is like this but with my hand on that sword, I push myself back up each time. Fail and fail and fail, but just keep getting back up. Our time is done when we are 6 feet under my friends. Until then. Keep pushing yourself back. No matter how many times it takes.
As she knelt on the ground... She knew she was at her end... her breath was short, her body ached... yet.... she put her sword to the ground, and stood again. Ready to fight the dragon once more. She had to protect what was left. As she raised her sword, the dragon charged at her. She took aim and slashed at the dragon.. But.. She failed. The Dragon grabbed a hold on her, forcer her to the ground... She knew it was over now. The last thing she saw.. was the town in ashes... the crowd in shock... and the dragon flying away after it had all... been destroyed... and the hero... laid there... motionless. the only one who knelt by her side... Was her daughter. and she sobbed. not just for the hero... but for her mother. (your pov - im crying now)

There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after.
But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference.
They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith.

The ally who stayed behind cried, wishing they could save him, but knew it would be in vain. If they tried, they would die with him. "Its ok bud, im....still here......atleast the pain is gone...." the man took of his hat, a hat he made with leather, and put it on the sole comrades head. "Keep it...and dont forget me or what *cough* I'm about to say......remember why you fight, dont fight for me, fight for the reason you started, you might be the futures survival......and dont let revenge cloud you up to much.....now go *cough* old friend..." The man slowly dragged himself to put his back on the wall. "Go...I'll hold these things off, for the glory.....no, for the sake of us all...." He pulls out a crossbow and aims. " Go...thats *cough* an order. Get out of here! I'll buy you and the others some time!"
As the ally who stayed ran, they cried harder and harder. Knowing thatif the others cared about them, they would've stayed and helped. But somwthing broke them as they ran through the caves system. It was the friend who stayed behind, firing bow after bow with rage in his voice, listing the names of all the party members, alibe and fallen.
"FOR BAIN, 'bow fires', FOR LATHRAE, 'bow fires', FOR *coughs* PARK, FOR ALICE, FOR IMPERATOR, FOR BASEL, FOR-"
He was about to say the final name, the name of his friend who stayed, but was slain before he could. The tears rained harder now, upon the floor as they ran. When they got out they saw the rest of the party, but was not happy. They blew up the entrance just as they managed pass it. "Oh, your still alive, oh well, atleast its not the other sorry bastar-"
Without warning, they were stabbed by the one who cried the tears for one man, a man who deserved more than his fate. The rest struggled to take them of of the other, while only hearing the words, "YOU BASTARDS KILLED HIM, YOU KILLED HIM!" over and over again.
When they finally calmed down, the others realized theyvwere crying still and brought them back to the camp. But said little things about the one they left behind. Not the nicest things, but still honored them. They then went to bed, as the ghosts of their allies, looked down at them. They lost a good man that day, yet still, they did not care. Later would they see their fall, all but you, who stayed for the man who cared you, fed you, and helped you. But you remember their words and still fight for the same reasons you did, but you added some new ones now. Now you are on your own from here, old friend, I must go now. So long.....partner...
