Fab people thank you. It’s so informatics. Learning new things every time I watch your lovely videos. I would like to come to Sicily but don’t know where to start. We are getting a car. Should we stay near Catania or Trapani. ??? Sandy beaches and good local food is what we looking for.

    Italian Corona LOL
Figs Alfred all my real Italian friends had fig trees in their backyard
And in Madison Nee Jersey or West Orange the fig trees had to be wrapped in burlap for the harsh winter
    But I love Figs
Sud de France has many fig trees and in my September visits they were ripe full and all over the small towns

Took what I thought would be a scenic drive from taormina to Acireale at night, drove for miles in the pitch black dark, flooded and bumpy dirt road. Feared my fiat would get stuck

Have you tried the "Circumetnea Railway" that goes around Mt Etna? It starts/ends in Riposto I think. Would have been a nice post to see. Love seeing all these market tours, my favorite posts!

We’re considering staying in Giardini Naxos for five nights and using that as a base to tour the island by day. I think your advice to not drive at night is excellent, so we’ll be eating and drinking in the evenings. Do you think five days is enough to do a lap of the island? Also, your Italian is pretty good. Did you learn it whilst living in Italy?
