It is because from so many years the caves have never been changed he doesn't know what the dripstones are and everything is so he is just terrified to see something new that isn't been for years

If you have ever played Minecraft with friends this is pretty accurate. One player will be running for their lives from some skeletons screaming "Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit!". The other player will be nearby making flower pots like "What is happening over there?"

The dynamic lighting and shadows in the dripstone caves are spot on though. Not too far off from the trailer. Dusty, lava lights up just nice, creepy warm feeling
Also the echo effect on sounds when you enter a cave. It creates a huge difference for sure

When I first saw the trailer, I wondered if there is a real texture pack or mod out there for those colours and textures in the trailer. They look so nice.

Actually you can get even better than the trailer if you using realistic shader or even RTX shaders
And it's legal, not mod or even hack. The developer their self allowing you to do that, even they give the option on the settings to change the graphics and texture on the game

To be fair, the majority of these things still look great. The only thing I wish we had was lush cave fog and larger jagged peaks biomes.
I wish goats actually ran into things.

Hahaha I feel this in my bones. We don’t use any animation for our show, just Java game play but I think we do a good job making it seem high production
This kinda reminds me of DBZ KAI. The theme “Dragon Soul” had such detail in the design and it was basic in the first few sagas. Not saying it was bad though. I still loved the designs. It was still a great show 100/10.

They should update music for when there's a certain event going on, it gets intense or when u find a new area it gets a nice violin playing
Using Minecraft BSL shaders it actually feels like your in the trailer, barebones works to.
If you want to add the cherry on the cake listen to the soundtracks or make them louder in your settings

Trailer compared to the game itself is really Awkward, Minecraft would be better if it looked Exactly liked the Trailer so much animations, Textures and Shadows, This is what I CRAVE over in a game

@@commendedzuez0944 I'm trying to tell myself that Steve is just being cautious after years of dying to various enemies sneaking up behind him, or falling into lava/the void, while Alex is more headstrong, arrogant, and inexperienced (and probably frequently dies more.)
Steve's also probably unsettled by all the new content being added to the game; for years, he's kinda known the "rules" of minecraft, but suddenly light no longer keeps you as safe as it used to, waterlogging is a huge danger to underwater exploration/travel, and the game mechanics are significantly different.
Steve also probably cares more about the _journey_ and likes to slow down and enjoy the small things in the game, such as getting that _perfect_ look to your new structure, learning all the lore and minutiae of new blocks/new mobs, or finally getting the auto-farm working, while Alex cares more about the _destination_ and just wants to rush through the game and quickly become the most powerful/respected player (as rookie gamers often do)
they keep each other in check.

I honestly say they learned how to animate after making dungeons the lighting and movement look way more fluent which is ironic for a game where your only movement is swinging your arms:)

Imagine if this was built in. Visual options that can be activated based on your hardware and wants. Advanced graphics options:
-Dynamic lighting (torch) ☑️
-dynamic plants (wavering grass etc) ☑️
-shaders ☑️
-reflections on water ☑️
@@yasho437 not everyone knows how to install optifine and shaders, it saves a lot of time just having it built in.
Minecraft has shaders. They need to to be able to use the GPU. They just don't look that impressive.

Seeing these trailers has made me realise I would really love an animated Minecraft TV show or movie done like these exact trailers. No talking, just episodes with Steve and Alex getting into crazy adventures. They could even make them into short clips like the Bad piggies TV show that the creators of Angry birds made.

I actually think these trailers show what Mojang wants the final look of Minecraft to be in 10 years when ray tracing is widely available and the bedrock rtx is finished. You can tell with the current state of RTX that this is the look they’re going for. It’s actually pretty close, though i think it looks pretty bad because the sun lights the terrain wayyy too harshly. In caves and enclosed spaces though, it’s absolutely gorgeous

They don't need something like ray tracing to make the game look like it did in the trailers if they really wanted the game to look like this they would have already.
@@telacreiste984 well the windows 10 edition with ray tracing really isn't that far off just alot less animated so Mojang probably does but is restricted by performance, it's an ifinitely procedurally generated world not exactly easy to make look graphically intensive and run on most systems

This is the dynamic lighting setting in optifine. Any moving light source like a torch in your hand or a flaming arrow will light up the area around it. (purely aesthetic- it doesn't influence mob spawning and actual light levels of the blocks to my knowledge.) There is some performance hit when using it, but it's not too bad. (I guess this depends a lot on your computer.) But it is weird that mojang hasn't implemented it because it clearly can be implemented as a completely optional feature. But then again they also haven't made the glass edges less ugly either, which is another simple improvement that seems like it should be even less controversial.
They should add it for default too *funni*

The only update where there are no “best seeds” to look up because they’re all beautiful
I’ve always felt like the game is missing many features that make it feel more alive. Then they go and tease us with these trailers. You have torches with dynamic lighting, shaders, better mob behavior/AI and all that. Some of the terrain generation in the trailers never happens in the actually game. I know that this is just a cinematic to show case the game but it really brings to light what sorts of things that could make the game way more immersive.
That's honestly my problem with minecraft man. It doesn't feel alive at all no more. Everything just feels dead.

Well...Steve's entire viewpoint on caves has been flipped as he has been in the game since day one. He landed in a terrifying dripstone cave while Alex landed in a lush cave. He is running for his life because he knows he can't beat a pack of spiders with his bare fists. Alex is not in any danger, therefore they are not scared. In the later clips of the video you can see that Alex is scared and running because now they are both in danger.
Landing in a dripstone cave is going to scare the hell out of you while landing in a lush cave is fun. Relax
To be fair, they are both stupid for not bringing any armor, food, weapons, nothing at all. All they brought were torches and a wooden pick

Caves are scarier now for me. A lot more light needed, a lot more room for mobs to spawn and swarm you. Good to go with the homies, enough for everyone easily.
