As a Nightwish fan, I rebut with the following: I don't miss Tarja because she has her own career that's flourishing, but I definitely like the music from her time with them the best. *However*, that has nothing to do with who's singing, and everything to do with Tuomas changing his personal music tastes, which is fine. Everyone grows and changes over time, and there's nothing wrong with an artist trying out new styles.. As for the singers themselves: I think all three of their female singers are great in their own ways, and that each one has contributed a lot to the band over the years. I do hate that Marco left, but I get it. He was feeling jaded about the music industry, and needed to take time away to deal with his mental health. On a final note: I ultimately agree with you about people needing to get over Tarja's no longer being in the band. Every single comment section on *anything* pertaining to Nightwish ends up being a debate about which female singer people think is the best, and it's so fucking old. I'm done with it!
I'm gonna piss off some folks with this opinion: Old Nightwish songs > new Nightwish song, but Floor > Tarja. Fun fact: When Tarja left, I said, the only vocalist who can ever replace her is Floor because I've seen both together on stage many years ago when After Forever was opening for Nightwish. Stephen Hillenburg loved that album so much it was his inspiration for creating his show (SpongeBob Squarepants) and even commissioned these guys to create an original song for one episode (Loop de Loop)

As a Nightwish fan, I think I miss Marko more lmao. His reasons for departing from the band and the mainstream industry is equal parts depressing and eye-opening. Certainly not as dramatic as Tarja’s departure, but it still hit pretty hard as a fellow creative. It’s damn draining to treat art like a corporate job, and knowing the darker sides of the industry can eat away at your passion for it just as easily. Jukka #2 is great though, can’t complain. Ah yes, Trivium enjoyer! Everyone can agree that Alex is a beast, Travis never came close. Also, their last 3 albums are almost as classic as Shogun, but the nostalgia factor is strong.

As a HUGE offspring fan, i tend to agree. But I think what is really prevalent too, is I miss the big fanbase. To me, The Offspring’s brilliant writing and lyrics hit so far home with me. As a three days grace fan, i should say as much as i miss Adam, i like how he's doing with saint asonia, and three days grace are still themselves, because BAND is not JUST VOCAL and if you search who is doing what in songs, then you realize, that with some songs (if not most of them) Niel is doing 50% of THE BAND, so changing lead vocalist wasn't as big deal as it might seems.

As a Nightwish fan, I think I miss Marko more lmao. His reasons for departing from the band and the mainstream industry is equal parts depressing and eye-opening. Certainly not as dramatic as Tarja’s departure, but it still hit pretty hard as a fellow creative. It’s damn draining to treat art like a corporate job, and knowing the darker sides of the industry can eat away at your passion for it just as easily.
Jukka #2 is great though, can’t complain. Plus I think it’s funny another Wintersun member’s jumped ship into NW.

I love that you tackled Nightwish! Some of the comments in their videos that have nothing to do with Tarja will bring her up for no real reason. It’s one thing to have a preference for singers, Floor's my favorite, for example, but at some point you just have to let it go. Tarja has a very successful solo career to follow.

I am not a huge nightwish fan but Floor is great. I saw them at a local festival and her singing is fantastic. She was in a TV show where dutch singers cover each other’s music and she was by far the best among them imo

@@jessforshaw2398 I'm only called them "edgy" because the video did. I don't actually think 21 Pilots is edgy. Maybe a little darker at times than AJR? But I don't think of them as edgy. They do have very meaningful music, like the really emotional message behind Stressed Out.

Same, I started listening to ajr in early 2018 (before any Trench singles came out) amd thought they were similar, but now looking back I don't think they're very similar at all. They're so lackluster and their sound annoys me lol

As a HUGE offspring fan, i tend to agree. But I think what is really prevalent too, is I miss the big fanbase. To me, The Offspring’s brilliant writing and lyrics hit so far home with me. Dexter Holland is truly a genius! I’ve got Major respect for him as a person aswell! He went from rocker to scientist 😂! I love everything about them, and yes, I miss a time where punk rock music was popular! I think music nowadays isn’t only written as well, but is almost afraid to push the boundaries that bands were allowed to push in previous times!

As a three days grace fan, i should say as much as i miss Adam, i like how he's doing with saint asonia, and three days grace are still themselves, because BAND is not JUST VOCAL and if you search who is doing what in songs, then you realize, that with some songs (if not most of them) Niel is doing 50% of THE BAND, so changing lead vocalist wasn't as big deal as it might seems.
