I just love the way Anne of Cleve’s was portrayed by Joss Stone! So graceful, modest, and loving. I like to think this is how she really was, and there is no doubt that of all of Henry’s queens, she was the most successful and unscathed by all of the intrigue and drama that surrounded him and his court. I think she is my favorite!

The marriage lasted less than a year. Anne came out of it very well. Back in Cleves, she would have had to wait for her brother to arrange another marriage. In England, Anne had several properties and a payment.

It was her own karma that she could not give henry a son. However she did not not deserve to be executed(unless she actually plotted to poison CoA)

Thousand of people died for thei fate(england was deeply catholic back then) because a woman wants to be queen. Henry would have executed her regardless of jane,after her last miscarriage. In fact it would have been better if he married some european noble after annes death.

I find it rather funny. Anne fans claim that henry would have divorced CoA regardless of anne, yet jane is somehow the cause of annes downfall. Jane is cleary karma for anne since she suffered the same as CoA. Fact is, Coa was already in her 40s yet the king only thought about a divorce after. Anne cleary wanted to marry henry since she refused to sleep with him before marriage. As far as I know,henrys accident caused annes miscarriage and allegedly she was rh- and henry was rh+, which makes any pregnancy after elisabeth impossible

Anne of Cleves shows genuine affection for Katherine Howard. I find it strange Katherine Howard did not show the same affection in kind. She described Anne of Cleves as "worth no account". That is damn cold.
+dianaAthemiscyra There is no proof that she ever actually said that about her. In this series, Catherine Howard is portrayed as malignant and vicious. The most accurate portrayal of her, in my opinion, was by Lynne Frederick in Henry VIII and his Six Wives, in which she was sweet and naive.
I don't know if I would necessarily describe this portrayal as malignant and vicious. Silly and brainless, yes; naïve and thoughtless, sure; insecure and spiteful, definitely; but malignant and vicious is a bit over the top. I guess we will never really know what Katherine really thought of AoC, but you're right, there is no evidence that the pair of them didn't get along.
Was referring to the way they were depicted on the show. Whatever their true feelings is lost to time.
I think that comment was more meant to show that Katherine was undignified and childish. She was upset that Mary was rude to her, and when she compared Mary’s treatment of Anne she didn’t understand why Mary was so unkind. Rather than a reflection of her actual opinion of Anne, that comment likely came from petty and juvenile thoughts; “I’m the queen, that’s not fair, I deserve that too”, etc. Her complaints about Mary’s coldness were fair, but she didn’t seem mature enough to express herself in the right way. Think of the average teenager or child: when their feelings are hurt, they lash out.
Although Katherine was threatened by Anne at first, it seemed that they became friends. Anne’s kindness and charm won Katherine over pretty quickly-plus her genuine lack of interest in Henry made it clear that she was not a rival for the crown.
Rachael Nicole Katherine was related to a previous Queen, Anne Boelyn. Perhaps Mary saw some of Anne in Katherine. There is also the age difference: Katherine would have been 15-17 years old; Mary would have been mid-20s. As Katherine of Aragon said in the last episode, Mary should have been a long time married.

Anne of Cleaves now that she knew her better.

@@gidzmobug2323 In reality, Anne of Cleaves did help to mend relationship between the king and his two daughters Elizabeth and Mary (he basically declared them in line after his son) and Anne was close to Mary and Elizabeth whom she regarded as a sort of ward or daughter since she had no children of her own. Some people believe that Elizabeth being her own mistress and wanted to be in charge was due to her relationship with Anne Cleaves who never remarried and was happy to be in charge of her own estate.

Anne of Cleves was reportedly insulted that Henry chose to marry Catherine Parr rather than return to her. (Apparently, Anne came to miss being Queen more than she thought, even if it meant staying married to Henry. Why she would want to return to him after he ordered the execution of TWO wives, I have no idea). Anne remarked how Catherine Parr was older than her, and was not as attractive. On the other hand, she was nowhere near as learned, and Henry was at a point in his life where he wanted more of a mind than a body.

I love Anne of Cleves, so good person and nice with everyone. She was beloved by the English people and when María Tudor becomes Queen, Anne was invited to the ceremony.
She was the most wise of the six Henry’s wives,; at least in life. She survived all of them.
Anne of Cleves was much loved by Queen Mary . When Anne died in 1557 , she was buried with full honours.
In fact , she is the only one of Henry's wives buried in Westminster Abbey.
Actually Katherine parr outlived all of the other wives, Anne of cleves sadly passed away just a year after Henry

Catherine Parr was the one who passed away a year after Henry died. She died from childbed fever, after giving birth to Mary Seymour, her daughter with husband Thomas Seymour (brother of Henry’s 3rd wife, Jane Seymour). Katherine Parr died in 1548 after giving birth, and her husband died in 1549, so their child grew up as an orphan. I think she was taken in by one of Katherine Parr’s friends.
Anne of Cleves died in 1557, 10 years after Henry the 8th died. She was there for the coronation procession of Mary the 1st, she rode in a carriage with Elizabeth (the future Elizabeth the first), and they wore matching dresses. Unfortunately in 1554 she was accused of plotting against Mary, by Mary in Wyatt’s rebellion. Something that Mary used to support her claim was Anne’s closeness to Elizabeth, who was also accused of taking part in Wyatt’s rebellion. She lost royal favor, and her friendship with Mary, but she still got a grand funeral, at Westminster Abbey, a place where honorable and respected people are buried, a place where lots of royals are buried, including Mary, Elizabeth and their brother Edward, and is the only one of Henry 8th’s wives to be buried there.
It is so sad that Mary Tudor was growing paranoid and delusional towards the end of her reign. She was so paranoid regarding Wyatt's rebellion that she was convinced that Elizabeth and Anna was trying to plot her downfall. She imprisoned Elizabeth and Anna was put under questioning, but ultimately Mary did care for her previous stepmother/auntie as shown in the funeral.
Howard and Cleves were pretty much best friends from what I could tell. No wonder they danced together, Howard's one and only real friend was Cleves.

She was smart, powerful and kind
Mary was intelligent, but in some ways she was very immature in her views of people and situations. She never accepted her fate, and hated anything and everyone that reminded her of what she was and her position. EVERYTHING that happened to her was due to her father, yet she seemed to hold everyone accountable for treating her based on the status that her own father had given her. She was just like her mother in this respect. The problem is that she didn't learn from her mother's experience, but rather tried to continue her mother's legacy that, while touching, was not smart and made her fall from grace far harder than it had to be.
Maybe it wasn't smart but it was who she truly was and she was always true to her believes...
Imagine suddenly going from cherished daughter to illegitimate in one huge step. Or having your father's mistress taking over things that your mother did (and the mistress hates you).

Where on earth did you hear that? As you say, Anne was not stupid, she already knew what had happened to Anne Boleyn, and she would have had more sense than to deliberately piss off Henry like that. Plus she was reportedly thunderstruck when she was told of Henry's intent to divorce her - she had no idea - and was devastated. Neither of those are the reactions of someone who was deliberately trying to get Henry to divorce her. Throw in the fact, too, that she was raised to believe from an early age that marriage was her ultimate destiny. Sorry, but the idea that Anne purposely made herself stinky (which she wasn't) holds no water.
The song may have been invented in the 1500s but it's still a bop and I'd play it in any nightclub.

Yeah, that wasn't uncommon at the time. The queen's wardrobe was considered part of the royal treasury, like her jewellery, and was considered the property of the crown, not of the queen herself. Anne Boleyn also wore Catherine of Aragon's jewels, and Katherine Parr wore some of Jane Seymour's dresses.

No, why would they? Anne knew it was in her best interests to get along with Catherine. Don't forget she was still entirely dependent on Henry for her income. He had given her large estates but he could take them away just as easily. Heck, if he ordered her killed there would be nothing she could do about it. Anne knew her future depended on staying in Henry's good graces
