It got sold to an ex-Oliver dealer who is restoring it. Hopefully I’ll be able to see it before long. It had about 4,6xx hours on it if I remember correctly. It was cobbled to all get out!
Not many people see potential in that tractor. But at least you do. I would be a kid in a candy store if I went to that bone yard. Just sucks I’m forever away
There use to be a salvage yard over by Bolivar Mo.
UPDATE: This tractor is now a parts tractor.
Update : 08/21 - tractor is sold for restoration.
whyyy
Looks like it doesn't have the hydraulic over under like my eighteen hundred A series Oliver.
Even in the shape it's in, it's worth more than many other tractors its size.
Joseph Schewe Good luck trying to get anyone to fork over the money.
Christ! How many hours are on that 1950? 1,000,000! Have you restored it? Or parts tractor!

It is nice to see that you want to resurrect this tractor. It will be worth it when your done!
I want a 1950 real bad, row crop front end, I just love the old detroits. Looks like it has potential to be a good tractor!
C&J FARMS Shel’l need some attention, that’s for sure.
That hunk of junk is worth a pretty penny even in that condition .
William Sidis It’s being parted currently.
IF I had the cash I'd buy it from you ,and stuff a 4-71 in it . Neat tractors.
William Sidis You’d need to make custom frame mounts, and such. Certainly are, we’ve got two more Detroit tractors.
I have never seen a 1950 with the 2050-2150 steering system.
eb17816 Custom job by a previous owner. Honestly, I kind of like it.

Ben Alten I was like a kid in a candy store there! Came home with a bunch of ticks though... so it kinda cost me.
Yep, its going to be an excellent adventure!
Um where is the hunk of junk I see a sad but beautiful Oliver 1950
Kalvin Labuik It’s a nickname for now. Why I bought it.
That tractor had a Oliver Continental front entrance cab
Kalvin Labuik How can you tell?
Looks like you have a nineteen hundred not a nineteen fifty.
I'm looking for a block for a 1600 Oliver it's a diesel
Welder Castleberry 1 I do not have 1600 or 1600 block. Lol. I wish I did. Have you tried the Facebook groups?
