  • Tenor saxophonist Fred Staton talks about his early exposure to Gospel and jazz music, growing up in a segregated society, his role with the Harlem Blues & Jazz Band, and briefly discusses the career of his sister, Dakota Staton.

    Very interesting chat. Amazing how sharp and lucid he is at 93. Wish he had recorded more music.
