The wings are meant to be in the air to push the snow banks away to the sides. Not to lay on the ground to widen the road.
the road to NO WHERE...those wing things do nothing but a crap job..what a waste..
They actually help out alot by pushing the snow further away to the sides. Rather than the snow rolling back in to the part you just plowed.
