What was the reason for opening the road? Couldn’t see any lumber to be hauled out or signs indicating planned forrest work. Regards from south Sweden.
I can fold them in, But I don,t think it would help in this case as the wings don't go on the ground. They are there to push the snowbanks to the sides to keep the snow out of the part that you just plowed.

Can you fold your plow wings in? I think it would help you get a cut started in that deeper hard stuff.

weird shape for a V plow, those wings should be touching the surface, not in the air.
They are there to throw the snow at higher speeds and to keep the snowbanks down by moving the snow further to the sides.
