    “I’m essentially trying to sell you pedals at this point, so you can switch off now if you want.” Wow, that was awesome. I think you sold a pedal as a result.

    I was given one of these pedals mint in the box along with an early Big Muff 25 years ago as a hand-me-down from my uncle. Have cherished them through the years and still have the fuzz in good condition. The wah is pretty poor but the fuzz is great on single notes and riffs. Chords get really muddy fast, but J&MC make it sound great.

      Heard J&MC live in North Carolina back in the 80's was awesome. Nothing like their sound.

    A great pedal that react very well to the guitar tone and volume pots ( not mentionned in this video) allowing many sounds adjustments... Super with bass also

    Cool! Lots of similarities with my Ibanez fuzz soundwise and controlwise. I always thought that pedal sounded great for Phyco Candy stuff. Love those ringing overtones, almost like a octave fuzz.

      I agree with this! I have been getting into TJMC much more lately and sculpting my noise tone and found that the MXR Distortion Plus can get somewhat fuzzy too. I stack the two of them (MXR Distortion Plus -> Ibanez Mini Fuzz) and I can get a really sick tone!

      try your wah AFTER the fuzz. sounds way cooler that way..you can get those super hi-treble tones like JAMC or dino jr. it rules. it's like having a hi res filter after your fuzz as opposed to filtered guitar signals into a fuzz box..which just isn't as fun.

    In the fuzz-wah circuit, does the wah circuit come before or after the fuzz circuit?

    • @timhulio1

      It comes after the fuzz.

    • @TimRobishaw
      @TimRobishaw 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So in principle, a wah following the SUC in the TY-6 mode would make for a fairly accurate replication of the Shin-Ei 8Tr sound?

    • @timhulio1
      @timhulio1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TimRobishaw Yes. And if you want to be extra authentic you could try to track down a Shin-Ei 2Tr wah, which can sometimes be found quite cheaply.

      Maybe with volume knob turned down on guitar ( it cleans up.a bit) and using spring reverb to soften the harshness. My two cents.
