Peace doesn’t mean anything if you don’t know what it is. Violence and retribution has its place when you know it. However if it’s not part of your life, you shouldn’t partake in it.
I grew up in North Oakland california. vividly remember hearing the dudes driving down the streets in the late 90s and early 00's scrapers bumbing down the block.
I grew up in South Central L.A. back in the 80's and 90's. Shit wasn't a joke. A lot of young lives were lost due to gang violence. Same with Hispanic gangs. Kids today havent learned from the lessons of the past.
I never grew up in L.A but that's good. It's not good that some loved ones got killed by gang violence. although there are gangs in My City. RIP To all the People in L.A That Got Killed During The 80s and 90s
Other than the actors in the movie becoming millionaires. Have things in the hood changed at all by now? speaks to the true power of movies: powerless.
the realist shit is his homies knew he wasnt about the life, they respected that...nowadays you'll get beat or killed for even trynna leave a lick or a 187 fr
I'm kinda like doughboy i Lost my Big brother kami i wanted revenge I'm glad Ferris and his gang pay for what they did to Ricky and now he can living in and peace watch over his son and his girlfriend and mother
🤔Reality is The Mother! Doughboy pays for his father’s absence with a life of abuse from his mom! She reminded him, since a child, how he was like his no good dad! It’s Why she blame him straight out! Many single black moms raise their sons this way, blaming the child for the choice she made in men!🤷♂️
The saddest part is this movie was a warning that no one has listened to. They still deleting each other and at greater rates!
because its so vague. "Increase the peace" What does that even mean? People in the hood need to learn conflict resolution!

So what does doughboy do, he moves back to the same neighborhood as Craig and moves Regina King in his house.
10/10
I hate to see movies have an ending like this but its the sad dark truth in real life.
Trea couldn’t ask how his mom or Shaunesse were doing?
