I absolutelly LOVE the fact that they keep sending most of the songs in Serbian 😍 Wish there would be more countries with songs in their native languages.
Serbia is consistently good.....having said that, i still haven't chosen a Serbian entry as my winner of any year so far.....loved Molitva of course, Beauty Never Lies but for me Zjelko Joksimovic 2012 gets my vote. I am a sucker for a good Balkan Ballad and this is an excellent example. ( by the way guys, i beg you to check out his sign language version of the song......it is SO moving!👏👏👏)
Serbia is getting more and more underated every year.
Molitva! Molitva molitva molitva!! I get chills from head to toe when I hear her and I immediately start to tear up. No art piece has ever moved me more... her voice and that song combined... otherworldly combination. Feeling all the feels 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
In 2009 Serbia was left out of the Final despite their finishing 10th in SF2 just because the juries gave their wildcard to Croatia (that finished 13th in that SF). The same happened on the same year with SF1 where juries left out FYR Macedonia (finished 10th), saving Finland (finished 12th).

2010's composer was Goran Bregovic. Great honor for Eurovision community that Bregovic took part as a composer to the contest.

And to understand the Serbian connection with Montenegro I will tell you that Ksenia's father (Ksenia from the group Hurricane) is Knez who represented Montenegro in 2015 at the Eurovison and the song was written by Zeljko Joksimovic who won third place for Serbia in 2012, and second place for Serbia and Montenegro 2004. They are also Serbs nationally, just some of they want to be something other and we couldnt live together anyone. Better a good breakup than a toxic life together.

I don't even have to watch to know who to vote for. Marija is my queen. Now and always. I didn't watch Eurovision then, but I found this song years later and ... I didn't need a translation of the lyrics to understand how wonderful this song is. Being a Slavic helped, but even without it, I could feel emotions, passion and everything

I love all traditional Serbian songs...Nova Deca, Jelena Tomašević...I also loved Sanja Vučić Zaa and the DNB song it was pretty cool and radio friendly...This year though I was very surprised to hear that Rijeka didn't qualify for Croatia. It would've definitely won in Serbian Beovision :( such a pity...we usually really love these old traditional songs here
So glad Serbia doesn't overdo it with endless Balkan ballads and always try something different or mix traditional music with modern. It's really hard to choose the favourite, everything is good for me (except, maybe, 2013, 2017 and 2019), even a 2009 joke entry looked really fun and didn't annoy at all.

Molitva is such a deserving winner, and my favorite of their entries. My 2nd is 2011, absolutely love that song and 60's influence. Number 3 is 2010, that song always puts me in a good mood. Number 4 is 2015; great empowering tune, and my number 5 is 2012, a very good Balkan ballad. Not a big fan of 2009, 2013 and 2020 sorry.
I love, love, love “Oro”. Already knew for quite some time, that it was going to be my winner for Serbia.
I also enjoyed “Ovo Je Balkan” immensely - give me something from Goran Bregovic and I’ll be happy. One of my biggest concert regrets is that I didn’t go to see him live, when he came to Latvia.
And “Cipela” always makes me smile, I used to know most of the the lyrics by heart, and that happens almost never.

Serbia 2009 would have actually qualified for the Final, as they got 10th in SF2, however 13th place in SF2 (Croatia) qualified instead due to being the wildcard from the backup juries.
But what about Serbia & Montenegro 2004-2005? those were two great years..

Let me clarify that in 2009. That year, a new voting system was introduced where the jury had an absolute majority in relation to the audience. In that year, the festival was also abolished as the election of representatives. A big favorite was a ot band with a great song, but unfortunately it didn't go. Croatia should follow Serbia's lead and sing in Serbo-Croatian as well

You should add here Serbia Montenegro 2004 because it was Serbian song. Serbia also performed under flag of Yugoslavia in 1961, 1962, 1980, 1991, 1992

I don't think Hurricaine would make it to the final in 2020, they are probably back for 2021 and actually Hurricaine consict of 3 girls and 2 of them were at ESC. The black hair girl represented Serbia in 2016 and one of the blond was part of Montenegro in 2015.
