Thank you, Luca, Clare and Joost for this lovely podcast. I’m sorry I couldn’t watch it live, but I enjoyed it a lot. Happy to meet you again in Utrecht, Luca! And Joost, of course! 🥰
I don’t own a Sribo….yet. I really enjoyed this episode. You can tell Luca is serious about his designs & quality. Sounds like he’s planning lots of exciting new things. Another great cohost choice!
Just received my first Scribo pen yesterday from Appelboom! It’s a Scribo Feel Graniglia 18kt gold fine nib. I was so excited to get it after seeing the Appel Bites episodes on Scribo. I chose the Graniglia because the material fascinated me. What an absolute pleasure I have writing with it. “Feel the writing” certainly encapsulates the experience. The quality of the pen far exceeds my expectations and it certainly is one of my favorite pens. Thank you for introducing me to Scribo. I see many more to come!
Certainly hope that Scribo will be at the DC Pen Show in August. I just purchased my first Scribo Feel (Mosto) and was looking for to making a second “Feel” purchase at the DC Pen Show after trying out the various nibs. Hopefully Scribo will make it.
Oh, goodness me, this interview has me longing to buy my first Scribo pen. I do have a bottle of the ink - Notturno Viola - which is just lovely and I'm so glad to hear that shimmer and sheen are not on the company's radar. Luca comes across as so passionate about the pen designs and it is fascinating to listen to him. Moving away from Scribo, I am a big fan of Waterman Pens and have the Hemisphere in the L'Essence du Bleu design which is absolutely beautiful. Based on that, I would thoroughly recommend any of the models in the new Reflections of Paris design.
Interesting idea for a bespoke section. I have big hands and I can hold a Safari, sure, but for long writing sessions I like a wide section, makes my hand less tired. Since I saved up for the Kaweco Supra, that has been my go to pen for longer writing. As to Waterman, both writer Tommy Wieringa and media person Splinter Chabot use Waterman fountain pens.
