Eventually, through trial and error, practice, and videos like FeedBackGaming here, I learned how to play the games well enough to try the dreaded Ironman mode. Crazy thing is that I have far more fun with Ironman mode than not. Sitting there, thinking of various strategies on how to beat the rng factor, and how to overcome various obstacles, is so fun. So keep it up! Try an Ironman game here and there, with the expectation that you'll fail and die horribly, but just to remove the temptation to use the console. I know I can't resist unless its disabled. You might surprise yourself on how much about the game you've learned.
This is the biggest exploit strategy with Germany i found so far : invade France at the very start (i love to use paratroopers to cut their frontline at Maginot when they are on my core). Just before to capitulate them you need 6 cavalry divisions to be ready and justify on the UK. Send your cavalry on naval invasion on Canada, South Africa, India, Malaisia, Australia and NZ from french ports (that is why you need 6) on undefended territory (not a port and not a zone that border an other country). Declare on the UK, send your paratroopers to take the ports and send your army on their core. Just because you had 1 division on one peace of land from every british puppet, they will all be in the peace deal. Just before to capitulate the UK justify on Italy and attack them. Just before to capitulate Italy justify on Poland and invade them. After this you need 4 armys of infantry (pure infantry, you don't need arty, too expensive) and invade the US. After this you just need to send your army at the border of Poland and invade the Soviets. Here we go, you have invaded all the majors on the planet except from Japan. My record of the capitulation of the Soviets with this strategy is mid 39 (04/09/1939 to be precise). You just need to make a crap ton of material of infantry for the garisons and i do all of this with 20 width pure infantry with support arty, ingeneer and recon for the speed with a lot of tactical bombers (for the range) and few light tanks to make little pockets. Love you. See ya.

Same here. I just don't really enjoy the occupation, resistance, and compliance mechanics. Yes, it's more realistic, but it's less fun, unless you do gamey stuff, like exploit the spy network mechanics. So I just stay on an old patch. /shrug

One thing i can think of to improve the video would be to include a tech progression & National focus "tree" in the description. like Rhineland -> 4 Year Plan -> .... -> Something something. bit of a hassle to jump back and forward due to the density of the information in the video

uhh.. not sure if this still works in 1.10 but in 1.8.2 you can name your most OP division template ‚Landsturmregiment‘ and do Oppose Hitler, this way the 24 divisions that spawn will be with the template you name, along with all the equipment it needs. When the civil war is still going on, rename the template to something else, so when the war is over, you won’t lose them, AND the equipment. You only need to beat up someone to get army XP, do German-Soviet Treaty to get Panzer III early, then make your 40 with tank division and basically get thousands of free equipment. Probably the most OP exploit of Germany I know of, though you’ll need a _shit_ ton of fuel to run them.
my favourite exploit: this one saved me from countless failed games...… when you about to die, pretend that you remembered that you have HW, and quit the game before you die works for me.
@rob 998 it was patched like a few months ago, I am 100% sure, check for yourself if you try to delete it says you lose all equipment and 80% of manpower now but it only shows if its encircled.
My favorite exploit was when you could go down both focus trees as Germany. But at the moment it has to be using the London Naval Treaty as a way to capitulate the USA in 1937.
Best Exploit: As Germany, don't do Rhineland, get an early war on switzerland, defeat them, then do oppose Hitler, before finished bypass Rhineland. Then you can do both pathes of germany, which is awesome! Sadly, it only works in older versions, but its defenitely my favorite.
Ok that final peace conference with Italy just taking everything somehow actually got me a bit mad lmao, you did everything and took everyone but the game and Italy just went: "It’s free real estate"

I wouldnt call this double justification thing an exploit. In fact, it should be a normal feature in the game - you can choose how long it will take to get the wargoal. Obviously, only over certain amount of time, so there still would be a minimum time. This way you could make better coordinated plans etc Amazing sponsor btw, shame I can only subscribe once
Also, justifying on multiple states works better if minimizing political power use (although it costs more world tension). Interestingly, I think you can actually get three early war goals by timing things just right and not doing rhineland (even with German rhineland, I managed to pull off 3 early wars as Italy by going for Saudis, Iran, and Switz/Austria (Portugal is a close call)).
you can also plan naval invasions from enemy territory as long as your own army you want to plan it with has got a front line with said nation. for example you had the Army of von Weichs on the maginot. even if no units were assigned there you could plan a naval invaion from calais or brest into britain or anywhere you want. saves you a lot of time with planning. this also works with naval invasions instead of front lines. If you plan your invasion of dover from hambrug, you can simultaneously plan an invasion from bristol into dublin
My favorite exploit is the one where you break the London Naval Treaties by disbanding your bigest navy ships and get a war goal on countries, making it easier to invade the US at the start of the game, works like a charm! (:

JuSt Do /AnNeX cOuNtRy but my favourite exploit is the one where you can switch countries, delete enemy's army and remove every single piece of equipment, every factory and every ship, switch back and do it all in Ironman mode
Not sure if you covered this one but my favourite exploit is Imperial Federation with Canada as North American Union. You get cores on all of the USA and you can do it by 1940. One of my favourite games I ever played.
I find that Medium tanks perform exceptional better than infantry attack if you can micro. By rushing medium tanks I took out the US, GB, France, and the Soviets by December 9 1940. I've tried rushing war with the soviets and with the allies, taking out the allies first is 2x better. You want to take out France, GB, USA, Poland, then Soviets, and in that order.

My favourite exploit was to take control of countries by saving games and do achivments like : killing france and poland with no over 400 casualities IT WAS BEAUTTTTIFUL ( and i would like to get DLC too )
My favourite exploit was before 1.9.0 patch where you could rename Spanish and German scripted divisions into 7/2s like S1, then later S2 so you could have 60 divisions and thats how I invaded France with Franco in Axis. Also, if you choosed pre La Le French DLC you could select Franco to form gouverment and join Axis before Spanish Civil War so when you want to conquer Parus before Germany without race with them, and France sending troops in Maginot, you could stomp them in Pirineis
I have put a bunch of time into this game and have never won. I am playing as Germany at the moment and used the war goal exploit on Poland and Dutch east indies and from there I have invaded the USSR and have whipped their asses. It was touch amd at first but my production was better I have finally figured this game out and how to win. Thanks Feedback for the tips!!!
The Observe Country/Take Control of Country glitch is hands down, the most OP glitch in the game. It makes getting achievements 500% easier when you can instantly delete all your enemies’ units and industry.

I utterly loved the artillery exploit, because I do it in every hoi4 game no matter what country. It really works as the soviets by the way, when you go down superior fire power.
I love how you prevented WW2 with the British and French by declaring on Netherlands and Poland at the same time. I also liked how you screwed over the Soviet Union by going to war with Tana Tuva.
I love the infinite manpower exploit using the duplicate airwings. That was broken, but probably not as much as this cursed save you have created Dave.

Honestly those allied minors becoming majors is your own fault. You took the Netherlands and Belgium, so you have Suriname, the Congo and you've got the German East Indies. All you need to do is to launch minor naval invasions of Canada, India, South America and New Sealand before you capitulate the UK. As long as you take a single tile from the minors, they'll surrender to you when the majors of the war have been defeated. But if you don't than all minors will eventually become majors.

My favourite exploit was the double industry and double doctorine research. For Germany it was the double focus tree exploit. The one that lets you go down the civil war and the Rheinland at the same time. Currently there are no gamebreaking exploits, at laste not as the mentioned above.
Personal favorite exploit? Liberating countries in a peace deal. Not exactly an exploit in the standard sense, cus it is a standard game mechanic. However, it becomes insane because it reduces WT. Pretty much allowing you to get a free annex on both France and the UK by probably 1937. This is the most ridiculous thing ever, especially if we’re talking speed running. Plus, if you keep world tension super low, America is essentially permanently stuck with its debuffs and small army size. God bless this mechanic!
The reason Canada was so unbelievably strong was because when a major capitulates the faction leader gets their troops I think. Just be happy you didn't have to Naval invade an Australia that had 200-300 divisions... Edit: For those curious I had to naval invade and manually build a port while defending with 40w Modern tanks because they literally stacked 30 divisions per port... and this was also with Expert AI.
It's not necessarily an exploit but an old glitch. One of the old Civilization games (sorry that it's not HOI4; don't judge me) is when Gandhi spammed nukes if he was at war with you. The players liked the glitch enough that the developers kept it.
As far as I can figure out as to the reason the Soviet Union just keeps attacking was that they were called in as an ally. I assume that as it is not a defensive war, the ai treats it as an offensive war and tries to push into your land as it would if they declared on you. I saw this in my game as China as I also declared in tanno Tuva and the soviets just kept sending wave on wave at me while I help bc they have no infrastructure on that side, and that coupled with the officer purge made them glass weak. I also tried this as Finland, once declaring on Mongolia and once just letting them assault me through the focus. Both times it was the same. But if I just declared on the soviets, they didn’t really push me as they were fighting defensively. But idk, soviet throw people at problem until problem isn’t the main problem anymore.

Still works with US Civil War. You can get 40-width heavy tank divisions with mechanized infantry. Six of them every month for ten PP.

I think the best exploit is preventing the Soviets from getting "The Great Partiotic War". Without that the Soviets are so weak and easy to conquer.

I can’t seem to make this work. Germany is in a Non-Aggression Pact with Poland and I cannot justify. When I can, France has already guaranteed them.

Interestingly, I think you can actually get three early war goals by timing things just right and not doing rhineland (even with German rhineland, I managed to pull off 3 early wars as Italy by going for Saudis, Iran, and Switz/Austria (Portugal is a close call)).

you can also plan naval invasions from enemy territory as long as your own army you want to plan it with has got a front line with said nation. for example you had the Army of von Weichs on the maginot. even if no units were assigned there you could plan a naval invaion from calais or brest into britain or anywhere you want. saves you a lot of time with planning. this also works with naval invasions instead of front lines. If you plan your invasion of dover from hambrug, you can simultaneously plan an invasion from bristol into dublin
My favorite exploit is the one where you break the London Naval Treaties by disbanding your bigest navy ships and get a war goal on countries, making it easier to invade the US at the start of the game, works like a charm! (:

but my favourite exploit is the one where you can switch countries, delete enemy's army and remove every single piece of equipment, every factory and every ship, switch back and do it all in Ironman mode
This isn't possible without exiting thw game and reentering game again, but yeah, thats the best thing you could ever do with ironman mode
Not sure if you covered this one but my favourite exploit is Imperial Federation with Canada as North American Union. You get cores on all of the USA and you can do it by 1940. One of my favourite games I ever played.

I find that Medium tanks perform exceptional better than infantry attack if you can micro. By rushing medium tanks I took out the US, GB, France, and the Soviets by December 9 1940. I've tried rushing war with the soviets and with the allies, taking out the allies first is 2x better. You want to take out France, GB, USA, Poland, then Soviets, and in that order.

My favourite exploit was to take control of countries by saving games and do achivments like : killing france and poland with no over 400 casualities IT WAS BEAUTTTTIFUL ( and i would like to get DLC too )
My favourite exploit was before 1.9.0 patch where you could rename Spanish and German scripted divisions into 7/2s like S1, then later S2 so you could have 60 divisions and thats how I invaded France with Franco in Axis. Also, if you choosed pre La Le French DLC you could select Franco to form gouverment and join Axis before Spanish Civil War so when you want to conquer Parus before Germany without race with them, and France sending troops in Maginot, you could stomp them in Pirineis

I have put a bunch of time into this game and have never won.
I am playing as Germany at the moment and used the war goal exploit on Poland and Dutch east indies and from there I have invaded the USSR and have whipped their asses.
It was touch amd at first but my production was better I have finally figured this game out and how to win.

The Observe Country/Take Control of Country glitch is hands down, the most OP glitch in the game. It makes getting achievements 500% easier when you can instantly delete all your enemies’ units and industry.
I started watching your channel and the first ever video was an exploit video and because of you I purchased 5 DLC’s for HOI4. I just wanna thank you because you taught me to play HOI4 and now I enjoy it even more.

I utterly loved the artillery exploit, because I do it in every hoi4 game no matter what country. It really works as the soviets by the way, when you go down superior fire power.

I loved the exploit of using British Malaya's destroyer for insane spotting (since they had forgotten to modify it for Man the Guns lol).
I love how you prevented WW2 with the British and French by declaring on Netherlands and Poland at the same time. I also liked how you screwed over the Soviet Union by going to war with Tana Tuva.
My fav exploit is when you can do the dispersed/concentrated industry glitch and get it all! Keep up the great work love it!

Honestly those allied minors becoming majors is your own fault. You took the Netherlands and Belgium, so you have Suriname, the Congo and you've got the German East Indies. All you need to do is to launch minor naval invasions of Canada, India, South America and New Sealand before you capitulate the UK. As long as you take a single tile from the minors, they'll surrender to you when the majors of the war have been defeated. But if you don't than all minors will eventually become majors.

My favourite exploit was the double industry and double doctorine research.
For Germany it was the double focus tree exploit. The one that lets you go down the civil war and the Rheinland at the same time.
Currently there are no gamebreaking exploits, at laste not as the mentioned above.
Trying to get into HOI4 and videos like this (and the whole '7/2 strat' you informed me about now) help a lot actually lol

Personal favorite exploit? Liberating countries in a peace deal. Not exactly an exploit in the standard sense, cus it is a standard game mechanic. However, it becomes insane because it reduces WT. Pretty much allowing you to get a free annex on both France and the UK by probably 1937. This is the most ridiculous thing ever, especially if we’re talking speed running. Plus, if you keep world tension super low, America is essentially permanently stuck with its debuffs and small army size. God bless this mechanic!

The reason Canada was so unbelievably strong was because when a major capitulates the faction leader gets their troops I think.
Just be happy you didn't have to Naval invade an Australia that had 200-300 divisions...
Edit: For those curious I had to naval invade and manually build a port while defending with 40w Modern tanks because they literally stacked 30 divisions per port... and this was also with Expert AI.

It's not necessarily an exploit but an old glitch. One of the old Civilization games (sorry that it's not HOI4; don't judge me) is when Gandhi spammed nukes if he was at war with you. The players liked the glitch enough that the developers kept it.
As far as I can figure out as to the reason the Soviet Union just keeps attacking was that they were called in as an ally. I assume that as it is not a defensive war, the ai treats it as an offensive war and tries to push into your land as it would if they declared on you. I saw this in my game as China as I also declared in tanno Tuva and the soviets just kept sending wave on wave at me while I help bc they have no infrastructure on that side, and that coupled with the officer purge made them glass weak. I also tried this as Finland, once declaring on Mongolia and once just letting them assault me through the focus. Both times it was the same. But if I just declared on the soviets, they didn’t really push me as they were fighting defensively. But idk, soviet throw people at problem until problem isn’t the main problem anymore.
Exploit: Ending the Spanish civil war in under a week after being challenged by the dev was *chefs kiss*
