Don't throw away leftover old potatoes in your cupboard or fridge

We all have found some old potatoes that someone forgot about. Most people just throw this into the trash can and just buy some new potatoes at the grocery store. Before you do that try planting them in your garden and watch magically as old potatoes turn into double or triple the amount just by burying them and watering.

Can I regrow an onion outside?
Like if you put it in a plastic bottle with water and leave it outside will it grow faster or better?

Oh yes this is easy to do but I would keep it in the part shade otherwise may dry up in sun.
