I read it because I was interested in Shinmen Takezo's upbringing. Left with a lot of great lessons and a heavy heart knowing I will not get the ending anytime soon. Someday, but not today.
The dynamic between takuan and musashi is beautiful. The manga is absolutely amazing , I started reading out of curiosity and couldn't stop. Beautifully made
I finished Vagabond some weeks ago. Seeing takezo's eyes changing while aging and reaching his final form, after meeting takuan, kojiro, inshun and so on.... what a journey. Inoue is my fave mangaka for a reason
I remember reading this manga like 10+ years ago? And then it suddenly went on hiatus and I forgot all about it until I saw this post lol, it was an awesome manga the author does this thing like suddenly ending his work when its on its peak like slam dunk
I’ll say it. It’s better than Berserk. Yknow why? Because it’s real, it’s fucking real. Everyone in their life has something they want to do, everyone has some sort of hobby or goal they want to achieve. And the only way to get that, is through suffering. Through getting up and trying again and learning from every experience. As a Catholic, I’d say the closest thing to my faith might be Buddhism, because we both recognize that suffering is an important part of how we as people become better. Weather by suffering alone or suffering together, by the process of coming out of that experience, you have the ability to become better or worse. It’s up to you to become better.
Because berserk is a fictional work who's character was partially based off musashi, where as musashi was a guy so unique that we still 500 years later are fascinated by.
I’m reading Berserk right now. I’m so excited to read Vagabond. Part of me almost wants to read Vagabond more, but I’m trying to really take my time with Berserk. I feel like it’s changed my life in so many ways. Yes it’s often a depressing manga, but it’s also incredibly motivating. Some of the terrors in it are real, some not. Regardless, Guts experiences some of the most terrifying and awful things. Yet he keeps going. There’s so many hard truths that are oddly uplifting to me. The commentary on rage and anger is amazing. Idk why I’m talking about Berserk. If Vagabond is even close to as impactful, I’m so excited for it. I’m also particularly excited because it’s inspired by a real person because history is very interesting to me. I like the realism of the art as well. Can’t wait to read it. Also, Monster was life changing too.
Experiencing the growth of Musashi was a deep emotional experience, the marvellous drawings of Inoue made me feel his passion and love for the story. A truly untouchable manga, straight into the top of all time.
There's something about arriving in new cities, wandering empty streets with no destination. I will never lose the love for the arriving, but I'm born to leave.
I dont even know how i felt so many things reading Vagabond. Slowly, watching the art , hearing the voices , feeling the intensity of battles... yea , it was something else.
This manga is just a metaphor for my ordeal of having to eat an entire package of lowfat quark in the evening because I forgot to eat half in the morning
You know life is hard when a fictional story has to teach you basic things like smiling and that makes your life better, Vagabond is an form of enlightment to the people who basically perceive themselves as lost
For me is more like the Transcendent Cat, this story changed and SAVED my life, is more than a manga for me, is a philosophical treatise. And just like with Stoic books, i reread all the time to not lose my sanity and live life in a more healthy/productive way (as oppose to self destructive). Usually when i spend much time without reading them i revert back to old habits and start to feel powerless and sorry about myself.
I think outside of the storytelling and art the most moving part of Vagabond is the emotions the author is able to convey through the characters eyes in a static black and white drawing.
I just "finished" Vagabond, read all the manga and the exhibition chapter yesterday and I have no words to express myself. Vagabond doesn't feel like a regular manga, it's like an experience. It addresses themes such as loneliness, self isolation, depression, personal growth, spirituality, beliefs, and so on... Musashi goes through so much and you feel like you are right there or you are actually him; I don't even need to talk about the artwork, one of the most if not the most beautiful I've ever seen. I'm going to get Musashi tattooed on myself next month to remember the journey I had reading this manga and to never forget the message(s) this masterpiece taught me. Stay safe everyone.

Name of te song?
Beach House - Space Song
Bro it’s been two years that im constantly motivated thanks to this masterpiece. Being only in my 20s I feel so blessed
Beautifully made
It's great to see your hero turn from an aggressive person to a kind-hearted person🥀💮
Explained this way, I don't see how Berserk is worse, it's just ur feelings about both manga but I agree with your arguments
Because berserk is a fictional work who's character was partially based off musashi, where as musashi was a guy so unique that we still 500 years later are fascinated by.
It’s an great experience, like a journey we all get something from this masterpiece
this is a timelapse of me actually reading it. Finished in a few days because of how much I was invested. This manga hits you right in the feels
This is frighteningly accurate 🥺
the greatest character journey ive ever gone through tbh its been 3 years since I first read it nothing comes close to the development of musashi
Have you read Vinland Saga?
Wish tehre were more manga like Vagabond..what a masterpiece and its so unique
Have you read Vinland Saga yet?
True true
that farm arc made me cry real hard. Im still hoping and wishing that the author finds inspiration to continue this art
“Heaven doesn’t laugh , people laugh, and I fear. Heaven doesn’t laugh, it just smiles and stares “
Maybe wait for the hiatus of Vagabond to end so you can really take it all in. Idk how long but just wait
Just done reading sasaki kojiro arc, it was phenomenal, this manga is freaking masterpiece, with one of the best art I ever seen
Shinmen takezo
Experiencing the growth of Musashi was a deep emotional experience, the marvellous drawings of Inoue made me feel his passion and love for the story. A truly untouchable manga, straight into the top of all time.
Vagabond the enlightening of the soul
Berserk the peace we find in chaos
Why the best mangas ever created never have a proper ending but an infinite hiatus 🥲
Its like reading Berserk
But the Peaceful version
youve become kinder Musashi🥺🥹
The song's name is space song btw
Thank you daddy
I mean div_xXx
no! or it's another Space Song, but it isn't it

It's author is true goat cuz he has three one of the best mangas
Vagabond, real and slam dunk
This video genuinely is so underrated
When sat down to read for fun and read 12 volumes in a day...
You know life is hard when a fictional story has to teach you basic things like smiling and that makes your life better, Vagabond is an form of enlightment to the people who basically perceive themselves as lost
It’s a masterpiece, I hope inue finishes off the story soon
“Smile More”
When a read this manga, It has diferent, the way that musashi (takezo) changes his personality, It is truly beatiful.
The manga with the most beautiful essences and beauty of atmosphere!
I heard it was almost as good as berserk, can't wait to read it. The art is amazing.
It's better or worse than berserk, in your own form of opinion
Stay safe everyone.
ah, fantastic journey
definitely my favorite
Vagabond really made farming feel intense with that arc.
