How to paint a bird of paradise flower (heliconia) 🌺 Procreate tips and tricks for beginners

- How to paint a watercolor bird of paradise flower in Procreate. This is actually a heliconia restrata, but most people recognize it as a type of bird or paradise. In this video, I show you an easy way to paint this flower by first painting one segment and then duplicating it.

I used a paid procreate watercolor kit that lets me paint in a more natural watercolor style:
*Abstract round/fineliner pen/water blender brush (Watercolor kit brushes, Etsy)

Love it Calvin, thank you but PLEASE PLEASE would you do a butterfly , I am a butterfly farmer I raise and release painted lady butterflies, and eastern tiger swallowtails, and I am just not good at painting them or butterflies in general but when I follow your tutorials I feel like a real artist… so please do a butterfly 🦋 ❤

Need Help. I downloaded the brush set but when I pick the Abstract Round Brush, the color is way too saturated and doesn't look like watercolor. Is there something wrong with my settings? I made sure to reset everything.
hi! Have we chatted on Etsy? I'm sure we can get it working. Usually issues with the watercolor texture can be either a brush issues, settings issue, or sometimes the texture itself is setup wrong. If you can send me a screenshot of a few brush strokes in Etsy, I can usually see what's going wrong.
My toxic trait is thinking I can paint just as well and as easily as it appears in the video if I just have the same brush sets. 🥲🥲 Oh Etsy, here I come.
