Reseal the engine and replace the rear main seal, and this car is a better deal than buying a brand new car. Would not hesitate buying this. A real mechanic loves working on these cars.
Oldsmobile 307s rear mains always leak,I fixed mine in my caprice by pulling the crank out,I took the lifters apart to and cleaned them and it ran beautifully and no leaks for years,it is worth it to take the engine apart and re seal it.
I agree. I always compliment a nice older car. You know the owner took car of this. It was no grandma that had this. Grandma’s don’t put raised white letter tires. Haha
AWESOME example of a GREAT automobile! My dear Dad had one back in the day: same configuration, same rims, same trim, only Dad's was all black exterior with grey interior, and the chrome trim pieces really 'popped' against the deep black colour. Such a sweet riding, smoot 'cream puff'...LOVED it !!
Last years of the G-body, no matter where you went in one it always gets attention. Someone took really good care of this one, major plus for the A/C to work and still has the factory radio that works. It has so much potential or leave it the way it is and just cruise in style. Absolutely beautiful ride and great video Nick, hope you and the fam had a great Christmas and New Year!!
I think if these new car designers came back with this G-Body Style with modern technology, engines and RWD, it would outsell anything on the road now.
Beautiful.I love it. I love Maybe Oldsmobile 307 or Chevrolet 305. It's not a race car but it's one sweet cruiser. I love the color on it and the wheels in the white letter tires. It's pretty crazy because the camera underneath of it shows just how clean it is. No rust underneath there is no oil leaking off the oil pan that's one clean car.
The motor is a 307 cu inch four barrel carb. Olds engine. I remember my 1983 buick lesabre had a 307cu inch 4 barrel carburetor. Full size buick. It was amazing that my big old buick got 19 mpg on the interstate 😮. It was a 2 door mdl. I used it to pull a bass boat to the lake. That v8 was smooth running. That cutlass is nice. No one has altered it. It would be nice to drive it the way it is. Best looking factory mags for the cutlass 😊
@Geechi89 Similar in the sense of being small block V8. The 307 belongs in the Olds Rocket V8 family, so the actual design of the engines are different.
👍 These cars remind me of the song, I was Country When Country Wasn't Cool. I don't think anyone realized how awesome these cars were until they owned one.
Had a 79 cutlass , dropped in an 87 307 with a rebuilt turbo 350 tranny. Motor was basically free and I wasn't trying to build a racecar. Wasn't a powerhouse but the car would run all day smooth consistent power. I regret ever selling that good running car.
I bought one of these cars brand new in 1987 at only 23 with my own money $$$. . I was a truck driver and always wanted one of these cars .. when I heard the FWD's were coming I made a good deal at a large Oldsmobile dealer .. I spotted a beautiful two tone , sporty model with , buckets, sporty wheels , suspension upgrade .. a young man car in the back lot with hundreds of other new 87 Oldsmobile . These were great cars !!! I took delivery on the spot , didn't tell anyone beforehand .. and everybody (parents) said why did you buy this ??? I thought it was beautiful ,, and every said the same where ever I went.
Dude.... I just filled the cup!.... That thing is clean!.... You don't see too many with that year old girl all OG and that kind of shape.... That is a very nice car!.... Thanks for posting this video Nick!... This might be one of my most favorite ones!
I'm not big on 80's model cars, but I actually like this '87' OLDS.! The Monte Carlo's were nice as well and so was the '87' Chrysler 5th avenues of which I used to own and it was sweet and I only paid $500 for.! All because it had a bad altinator and heater core.! It had been the guys daughters car and had been parked for 18months. Probably the best car purchase I ever made even if it wasn't my favorite.!
My brother in law used to have a 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme way back in 1992, and it was deeply dark teale color, but it had a (light color teale Landau roof in the back around the whole back around the back side windows and rear back window which matches the interior) with a 3.8 litre V6 motor in it and the motor was very well tuned up and he had it for 5 years it had a snappy acceleration for being an under power house and a cruiser as well.

That is Awesome bro my 1st new car was a 87 Cutlass Surpreme . Hey maybe you have seen the 85 Olds 442 all wheel drive big block & procharger it has been on Honnigan . Sorry wrote so much but I Love these cars ! 👍🏻
Had a red 87 Cutlass Supreme 305 on the floor auto, put a dual exhaust on, went forever highway geared, loved it, sold it to a native guy and he wrapped it around a pole,,too bad, was a awesome car
Pretty sure that is the Sticker price from back in 87. Good deal if you bought it back in the day, drove it all this time and got your money back..lol. Cutlass was one of the picks back then if your folks wouldn't let you have a 5.0 LX/GT, IROC (NJ) or the rare Grand National.
in the fall of 86 ,a good friend of mine bought one brand new in naperville,il area. He had a laugh earily similar to comedian eddie murphy. as you know, back in the mid eightys eddie was at the height of his popularity!! i use to call his 87 old ''the eddie murphy mobile'' i even got him a cassette tape to play in his tape deck of the pointer sisters. doing the newtron dance!!
I bought one of these in beautiful condition with the same colored paint and interior at an auction for $500.00 bucks 20 years ago. The 307 engine was locked up. I had a lot of plans for it but a guy followed me until I stopped for gas and ask what I wanted for it. I told him 1500 and he went and got the cash and I took it too his place !!! Fastest 1k I ever made 🙂
This was my Dad's car (It was Sandy Brown), and introduction to loving the old-school American cruisers. He lost it cus ome of his buddies referred him to a shop and the mechanic absolutely messed it up to the point it never ran right again. Could've been my first car. 😢
A very nice Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme! Absolutely love the originality of the car! I like the original engine, the original interior, plus the original GM AC Delco radio and digital numbers on the radio itself, which is awesome! A very nice GM car, and a very Oldsmobile engine! It would be cool if Oldsmobile was still around as one of GM’s divisions! Too bad the division was gone when I was 4 years old in 2004, so I was too little to remember that happening with GM! Anyways, great car! I absolutely love it! 😁👍🚙
For today she is 38 years old today, for 2025 is here today, for that made her a other year older today, and I think that's way she sold fast today, because she still is a good looking lady of the day.
Nice ride. That baby is clean and for the age is in great condition. I would love to have a 3rd olds cutlass. I'd rather have the buckets and console but that one hasn't been abused to bad
Had a 82 monte carlo in High School. We took the 3.8 V-6 out and dropped in a built up 327ci. Engine. We raised alot of Hell in that car. Couple of my buddies had the mid 80s Cutlass. Good looking cars.
I was in the 12th grade in 1985/1986 when these Olds 442’s were out. And even then, the glory days of the muscle car was 15 years earlier. I used to say to myself “Damn, they STILL make the 442?” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I paid a 1000 bucks from one of these and 98 and sold it for 500 bucks due to A D. U. I. I got. My late teens.I missed that car bro knowing how much it's going for now and when I let it go for mine was flawless like this
Those had one of the nicest factory rims ever made
Sure did I bought a set off eBay in 2002 for mine it was a lot of money back there
Facts ✊🏾
These were great cars. A car that still turns heads after all these years. Someone will be reliving their youth in this one. Good job Nick!
Hell yeah 👍
Reseal the engine and replace the rear main seal, and this car is a better deal than buying a brand new car. Would not hesitate buying this. A real mechanic loves working on these cars.
agree. timeless classic

I’m a former owner of one I love these cars. This one is fantastic. One of the best cars of the 80’s
AWESOME example of a GREAT automobile!

Isn’t the olds 307 a 5.0 liter similar to a chevy 305? Versus a chevy 350 which is a 5.7 liter..
@Geechi89 Similar in the sense of being small block V8. The 307 belongs in the Olds Rocket V8 family, so the actual design of the engines are different.
I had an '86 cutlass... those cars drive great!
I have a real nice one
👍 These cars remind me of the song, I was Country When Country Wasn't Cool. I don't think anyone realized how awesome these cars were until they owned one.

If I had the money, I would be down there buying that Cutty today, I had a 83 Cutty when I was younger and always loved the G-bodies.

Looks like it slept in the garage most of its life . Nice ride 😊

I had the same one with a carriage top. Someone stole it from my college parking lot. I loved that car. It was like driving a couch.
What a time machine. All original, and super clean too. And that's a great price, I don't see this one being on the lot for long
My brother in law used to have a 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme way back in 1992, and it was deeply dark teale color, but it had a (light color teale Landau roof in the back around the whole back around the back side windows and rear back window which matches the interior) with a 3.8 litre V6 motor in it and the motor was very well tuned up and he had it for 5 years it had a snappy acceleration for being an under power house and a cruiser as well.

Thank you very much
Same platform as my old '79 Regal when Brothers Johnson "Stomp" was blastin thru the speakers. 😊 these cars had the most comfortable interior ever.
I have had my 88' Supreme Classic for 5 years. Love it. Has a 71 Olds Rocket 350 in it now. Sleeeeepahhh.
I’ve got an 85 442
That is Awesome bro my 1st new car was a 87 Cutlass Surpreme .

I'm definitely saving up for a g body
Pretty sure that is the Sticker price from back in 87. Good deal if you bought it back in the day, drove it all this time and got your money back..lol. Cutlass was one of the picks back then if your folks wouldn't let you have a 5.0 LX/GT, IROC (NJ) or the rare Grand National.
Best riding car and the most comfortable seats hands down
Had an 83 with a built 1970-455 in it.. blue on blue and it was a beast. That one is really clean 👍🏼
I had an 82 Brougham diesel to a 71 455 with a flex fan, sounded like a jet
in the fall of 86 ,a good friend of mine bought one brand new in naperville,il area. T-Tops would seal the deal for me.
They would also leak
T tops on these cars ALWAYS leak. Better to NOT have them.
Ts suck
If it had T-Tops the floor would be rusted out!
Like this year with the shifter in the floor
I bought one of these in beautiful condition with the same colored paint and interior at an auction for $500.00 bucks 20 years ago. The 307 engine was locked up. Looks like the main seal is leaking, will definitely need an overhaul. Great vehicle and easy to work on. Definitely a mechanics car.
A very nice Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme! Absolutely love the originality of the car! Absolutely love everything about it
G body cars were some of the most comfortable driving and riding cars gm ever made. This is a nice car.. best bang for the buck on the lot…
Put duals on it and it would make a nice daily driver 👍👍
For today she is 38 years old today, for 2025 is here today, for that made her a other year older today, and I think that's way she sold fast today, because she still is a good looking lady of the day.
Beautiful car!!! The only thing that I personally don’t like is that factory metric transmission everything else is perfect!!!
had one back in 96 and wish I never sold it. Awesome cars of that era... the cutlass and montecarlo etrc.
I had the 1988 Monte Carlo SS. Black with maroon interior.
🥳Happy New years🎉My mom had a white one fully loaded🐶 Right off the showroom floor🍀✌️
Damn this make me appreciate what my dad had back in the day
I remember the day when these and the Regals were brand new. They were everywhere. great sellers
13,900 everything should work
At that price , will be gone fast. That is a clean cruiser.
keep an eye on that flywheel cover they are elusive, nice ride in the way back machine
I had a 86, loved it! Nice car Nick.
Not trying to be critical or an ass, but I’m over the ghost rider deal, JMO ! Happy New Year y’all 🍺👍🏼🇺🇸
Good looking Cutlass! It'll definitely sell quickly
I love these cars. I owned 2 ‘77s and an 82 back in my day 👍
Gorgeous. Love those old G-bodies!
Reasonable price for a nice car.
I was in the 12th grade in 1985/1986 when these Olds 442’s were out. And even then, the glory days of the muscle car was 15 years earlier. I used to say to myself “Damn, they STILL make the 442?” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
That’s one of the best looking cars y’all have had. Those cars were the smoothest riding cars in the 80’s.
I like that it is a bench seat car! Wish I saw this in time to buy it!
That’s a nice olds mobile cutlass👏🏽👏🏽👍🏾
I miss my 87 Cutlass Salon😢 I loved that car it was reliable as hell and I should have never sold it
I miss my Oldsmobiles, Cutlesses and Tornadoes.
How many miles is on the 77 Oldsmobile
I had this exact car, color, front end, everythjng but it had a floor shifter, was a 87 cutlass salon, never did find out what the difference was
I would buy this in a second if I could afford it I had two of these things back in the 80s and put over 300,000 mi on both of them
This will not last at all....super clean in and out and underneath....beautiful 87 cutty....👍🏼
Had a 1987 just like it; mine had T-Tops though. Olds 307-4 bbl engine. Good car. Hated the flimsy shifter that came in these G bodies at the time!!
Owned one 30 years ago, good car with classic lines!
Damn clean for almost 100K miles 😊
Is the passenger side front fender a different shade then the door or the way the picture taken
Yeah i thought i saw that too. The passenger side front fender seems darker.
Definitely hands-down best riding driving vehicle in that area
Someone loved this car took good care of it will make someone a nice driver ready to cruise it now will sell fast
Beautiful cutty👍🏼
This is actually the first car I've seen on here that I wish I had the money to buy
T-Tops & floor shifter would have been SICK VERY NICE CUTLASS
That car is awesome love the color it's my favorite ❤👍💯
You got to love those 80's G- Bodies. That should go quick.
I had one of these in college should have never gotten rid of it.
GM nailed these G-body’s
Is the horn kinda loud or are you just used to them not working lol. Nice car and channel! 😁
Horn is working 🤞🏻
What a beauty nice clean car 5 ltr engine love the engine colour superb, nice crusing around in this beauty thanks honest Nick stay cool 😊😊😊😊
That heat blower motor sounded like Little Nicky in sleep mode lol
Just throw that on a truck and send it to my house in Sacramento. I had a 89 cutlass and it was fun to drive.
It’s an angry 😡 blower motor 😂😂😂
Beautiful ride
I owned this exact car . Color and all .
I traded a Custom Van for it back in the early 90's !
Catching the video late have to rewatch but looks like a great clean car.
I had a 82 Cutlass Supreme Brougham seats were like a sofa.
Bolt on a super charger and larger diameter magnaflow exhaust, and it’d be a great weekender.
