If you have teaching experience already, I typically recommend a level 3 course. However, for non-native speakers, you always want to be as qualified as possible, so a level 5 might be a better choice.
Which level 5 course do you recommend? I am late 40s, A UK citizen with no degree. I think the Celta and the international TEFL is a bit expensive for me

Hi 😊 , I have a business management degree, native english speaker and i'm currently teaching english in china for a training centre. Which TEFL course would you recommend me to take to boost my knowledge and increase my employability status to possibly working for international or public schools? 😊
International schools require a degree in Education or actual teaching license in the subject you want to teach like elementary, science, etc. To work in public schools, it’s different for each country. Some are easy to access while others you’ll need to get your degree validated. The best TEFL is CELTA but this is aimed at teaching adults. If you want to teach both kids and adults, I recommend International TEFL Academy. You can get an extra discount by filling out this form: eslteacher365.com/ITA-TEFL
Hi there.. I am from India living in the Middle East and a non native speaker of English. I would like to teach English in the International schools here. Is it advisable for me to take up the TEFL level 5 course?
To teach in International schools you either need to have a degree in Education and/or a teaching license. These jobs are for teaching the subject you are certified in and English is the medium used in these schools. A TEFL won’t usually get you a job in an international school.

I recommend doing a CELTA course if you are a non-native speaker and want to teach in Europe. EU countries will also ask for a certificate proving that you have a C1 or C2 level of English (IELTS of Cambridge exams)

I wonder if a TTA level 5 certificate is okay for a non-native and non-EU teacher to teach English in person in Europe, Japan/Korea, or Latin America. Thanks in advance!
Unfortunately, you need to have a native speaking passport to teach in Korea and 12 years of school in English to teach in Japan. Countries that are good for non-native speakers are Mexico, Thailand, Cambodia, Argentina and more. Curious here. I am actually in the process of taking the course. Did you actually take it? The reason I ask is there are errors and inconsistencies in the lessons and as I have just landed on the first assignment, instructions are contradictory and requirements are head scratching because in its own example the tefl academy can't even meet its own requirement. And we're only talking about up to unit 6 of the level 5. I'm personally wondering if this course is actually set up to be AI scanned. It's almost as if the academy was started in good faith, but then purchased by an individual living in his mother's basement who knows how to write an algorithm for the grading.
Yes, I did take it. Honestly, every course I’ve taken has some errors and inconsistencies, especially when they are updated regularly. Also, every textbook I’ve used for teaching ESL including very popular ones have had grammatical errors and other issues.

Can you help me with these please? I want to teach online and if possible offline as well(asian countries or any european countries) I am from Bangladesh, so I am not a native speaker.
If you are a native speaker with a degree and some tutoring experience or only want to teach online, a level 3 is enough. If you don’t have a degree, experience or are a non-native speaker, I recommend a level 5.
Most countries require a degree in any subject in order to apply for a visa. Some jobs in Latin America and Cambodia will not require a degree. If you are a non-native speaker, there may be specific requirements for your degree. It all depends on where you want to teach, your qualifications and passport.

Hi, thanks for the video! I did my Bachelor's and I am currently doing my master's in Italy as a non-EU citizen (also, I am not a native English speaker, as I'm Turkish).
I typically recommend CELTA for non-native speakers, but if that course isn't affordable, then you can do the TTA level 5 course.
@@ESLTeacher365 Thank you for your response! Unfortunately, CELTA is 1600 Euros, while TTA is 235 Euros. Huge difference at the beginning. Also, since I am already in Italy for my master's, I was thinking about teaching here or in another EU country. However, according to this information, it seems like that is not possible either, since I am not a native speaker.
Hello Miss... Thx for this video!... Could you recommend me the cheapest TEFL course? = )
I don't recommend cheap TEFL courses because they are often not accredited. TTA is an excellent one that is both affordable and accredited for teaching abroad and online.

I have found that asking the tutors to clarify is VERY HELPFUL. The tutors are very kind and professional.
Hi, I want to enroll to TTA TEFL course, I don't have a degree, any advice for me and what should I need to concern more? I'm from Philippines. Thank you so much!
If you want to teach abroad as a non-native speaker, I recommend getting a degree. It can be challenging and limiting to get hired without one.
I've been reading online about TEFL and I want to make sure I don't end up spending my money on a course that is not accredited. How can I find out if this course is accredited and also, if I want to teach in Panama, would this work? I may have a few other questions regarding this as well.
TTA is accredited for teaching abroad and online. You can read their accreditor info on the website. Do you have a degree and teaching experience?
@@ESLTeacher365I don’t have a degree or teaching experience. I’m Canadian and also speak Spanish & French so I’d love to travel and teach. I want to teach online and in person. Would this work or what course do you recommend?

Hi. Been teaching ESL for 7 years. I plan to take Level 5 TEFL in TTA. However, I don't have a teaching degree, I graduated in Information Technology. Will the TEFL certificate help me land a job abroad (Asia preferably) despite having a non-education degree? TIA
If you are a native speaker, yes. If you are a non-native speaker, some Asian countries require a degree in English or Education.

Celta or tefl for online teaching as an indian which is better?....which is helpful for teaching in china
CELTA is a TEFL, it’s the Cambridge brand. If you only want to teach online, then TTA is enough. If you want to teach abroad as a non-native speaker, I recommend CELTA. Unfortunately, China only accepts passports from native English speaking countries if you want to teach ESL there.

I’m French, I’m working on entraining into English coach/tutor or English homework assitant ONLINE (french) because i will move a lot as well as I’m not an english native speaker.I have no teaching experience.
I haven’t decided which range of age, I want to coach (kids to Adults (probably 5-7 age, i think for a first start, right? what do you think of it? please)).
here’s my plan because i have no experience and no degree in English education. I have decided to pass the TEFL 5 200hours (TEFL org) to dip toes in english teaching in general, in the meantime i will improve my english in this field, try to reach a good level of B2 (my grammar is close to just need some speaking practice) to C1 level, to pass cambridge B2 or C1 following my current level at this period and jump in passing the CELTA for more profound and solid pillars. what’s your stand on it ? your truly thoughts. I’ve already passed some English tests through TEFL company and i have some level varations between B2 or C1 but there are more focused on writing and my speaking doesn’t have the same level. is it because we don’t need to talk with a tutor or teach a class to be assess during the TEFL courses? did you need to teach students to be assess? I know that you might probably be telling yourself “what this french woman is telling 😂 she isn’t an English native with no degree as well as no teaching experiences however she wants to coach”, that sounds crazy to me too because it’s not my field but i want to do for multiple reasons (proudness in myself, feelings of wanting to coach (french or others 😃 countries)and Encourage them to love and learn English so many people, i had talked before told me school experiences with a foreign language was catastrophic. I just want to cheer them up, i feel that way in my heart but i’m afraid it can’t be done. I just need the truest advice from someone who knows this situations well, except that you are an English native speaker but some tips would be a game-changer. thank you again
I studied to be a Spanish teacher before I became an ESL teacher. I’m not a Spanish native speaker, so I know how you feel. In the US you are only required to have a B1 level of Spanish to teach it in public schools. My recommendation is to do your best to improve your level but don’t worry too much if you are teaching young kids.
if you don’t mind telling me what did you do like trainings ,degrees, experiences and so on to study to be a spanish teacher and to become an ESL teacher? please that could really help me. on what you said that in US they require you to have B1 level , is it in school like elementary school or midschoolor maybe it was a specific company to teach spanish like after school? i promise i do my best every day to be the best supportive and lovely tutor. is it easier to teach kids? than teenagers and adults?
when you passed the TEFL did you have to speak or it was only documents ,videos and quizzes? please.
i really appreciate for your advice
I can’t wait your answers and your next videos as I always watch them.
all the best.
@@enory5983 To get certified to teach Spanish in US public schools I did a degree in Spanish and got a US teaching license for Spanish. I had to do a semester of student teaching and pass an official exam called a Praxis. For teaching ESL, there are many different courses and each one is different. I did CELTA and we had to prepare lessons and teach actual students while being observed by our peers and the tutors. We also completed assignments and attended sessions to learn how to teach English. There were no exams for this course.

Hi , I'm from Pakistan. I have done my bachelor's in Applied Psychology. I have one year experience of classroom teaching different subjects from primary school children to high school children . Now I want to teach English in UAE . Which TEFL certification I need to teach English in UAE. Or Which teaching License is required to teach in UAE. ?
UAE is very competitive. They look for 2+ years of experience, a master’s is preferred and native level of English. CELTA is preferred in the Middle East.

Some companies and marketplaces will require a degree and/or experience in addition to a TEFL.
@@ChanelWilliams-r5h I was told you don’t need a degree

If you are a native speaker with a degree and some tutoring experience or only want to teach online, a level 3 is enough. If you don’t have a degree, experience or are a non-native speaker, I recommend a level 5.
