I'm sure glad my very short Chinese parents put myself and my siblings in tons of sports and fed us rice and beef for breakfast. My older brother is 6'2 and I'm 5'11. My sister is also tall for an Asian woman. My wife is also Asian (Japanese/Filipino) and is almost 5'9. Most of the Southern Chinese guys, from Hong Kong etc tend to be in the 5'6 to 5'8 range while the newcomers from mainland China can often be over 6 feet. My sister in law's family who are from Shanghai has two cousins who are 6'7 and played Canadian Uni basketball. My wife was about to give up on Asian guys due to several of her dates being uncomfortable that she was much taller than them. I'm stoked my timing was spot on as I was getting into my late 30s and now we have kids. I try to do most of the cooking to make sure our kids have similar nutrition as what I grew up with. The western world ain't that easy when you're an Asian male and a short king.
