- A year ago today I uploaded my first video which was a crude game room tour. Little did I know at the time what that would turn into and where I would be just 1 year later. This video is an update of my gameroom but more importantly it's a reflection of my first year doing TH-cam and what all I've accomplished and a big thank you to everyone who has given me help and support to get me this far. #gameroom #homearcade #arcade1up

The gameroom looks awesome Mike. I absolutely feel the same way. This year has been awesome. Its amazing how these cabinets have brought us all together. Its like I have known you guys for years. There is so much i am thankful for this year. Looking forward to even more great laughs and silliness in the new year.
Totally agree. It feels like I have known you guys for years. And if it weren't for these games we probably wouldn't even know each other. Crazy huh haha

Very cool gameroom! I had a similar reaction as you did with TMNT when I stumbled across Pac-Man and Galaga cabs in my local Walmart a few years ago. I was dumbfounded and couldn't believe someone was really re-making OG arcades. Anyway, thanks for the vid. Look forward to more next year and to watching you guys on Nostalgia Power.
Thank you very much! I had no idea back in 2019 when I bought TMNT that it would turn into this. I honestly thought it was a one time thing, something cool to add to the gameroom. I know the haters are going to hate because that's what they do, but these things are really cool. Perfect? Absolutely not but if you appreciate them for what they are then I think they are worth it!

Thank you Matt. Getting to know you and meet you along with getting to work with you on streams were some of the highlights of my year. It's been an incredible year we all have had and I honestly feel so fortunate to get to have met you and all the other people we now call our friends.
Mike, great looking GAMEROOM and yes that is a gameroom. Love the blacklight look. We need to get you some psychedelic blacklight posters. Arcade 1Up better come out with a Robotron cab or this guy will not be happy. The highpoint of my year was meeting you and all the other AA guys too. Thanks Mike for being such a great guy. It was great man I'm so fortunate I was able to meet you in person. Definitely the highlight of my year... Yes psychedelic posters would probably look great in there! And I'm holding out hope for the robotron. I have the spot reserved for it!

Great tour, Mike! I love the chat at the end of the tour. I feel like I've met a lot of great people in this community, like you guys, and It's really a lot of fun. I like to try to give people a smile in the live chats when I can. Sometimes I go overboard, lol. But it might be their only smile of the day, and hopefully it makes them feel better.
Good pickup on that Golden Axe. I haven't played it very much (I don't think at all, actually) but I've been getting more interested and have been keeping an eye out for those to pop up around here sometime. Looks like a fun cab.
Great work on the Pac-man cab. Yeah, after putting so much work into one like that, you're pretty proud and hate to get rid of it. Custom Ghosts & Goblins turned out freakin' awesome!
It's been great Andy. Getting to know guys and stream with people like yourself that I otherwise would have never met is pretty crazy. I really do feel very fortunate to get to be associated with such good people. Thank you for all your support as well. It's greatly appreciated my friend.

Great tour! What I noticed is you have a lot of 4 player decks.....but that's ok. If you got the nostalgia for it, and it means something to you, that's awesome! Love your content and love the new show. Lots of memories being jogged in my brain by your shows.
Yeah when I was a kid I was always drawn to the 4 player beat em ups. Or the 6 player in the case of X-Men. I'll be honest though I wouldn't mind making nba jam and blitz into 2 player cabinets. I'll never be playing those with 4 players haha. I'm so glad you're enjoying Nostalgia Power. I really do appreciate your support and you hanging out with us each Saturday morning. I know I can't believe it haha. Thanks man and thanks for all your help and support and everything over the last year. I couldn't have done it without you. And getting to meet you in person in Cleveland and hang out with everyone is definitely an experience I'll never forget.

I know they aren't "real" arcade machines but if you're in there and close your eyes you would definitely think you're standing in a real arcade from back in the 80s-90s. You've come a long way. Gameroom looks great. I agree with you about T2. It is one of Arcade1up's best looking cabs. I did all the same mods you did except paint the guns. I did do the recessed screen mod though. I want to do the buystuff mod but i can't bring myself to do it. I love the way it is. Your story of your journey really put this video over the top. Keep up the good work.

Very nice set up Mike! My mancave is a game room/bar. I got pretty much every console with a 50 inch Sony Bravia tv hanging and a futon plus my gaming pc and a computer desk, and i got my bar with stools with a fridge with a 32 inch tv hanging behind the bar... i got over 100 bottles of alcohol haha... I have a very generous wife to let me have my set up haha

It's such a nice looking cabinet. Part of me wants to keep it exactly how it is. Maybe I'll wait and mod another shooting cabinet haha. Thanks Dave happy new year to you too!
So cool! I had dirt bike/dualsport motorcycle content I ended up taking down. Thumper comes from single cylinder engines. Squid is just a noob. Thumper Squid was born.

Very nice!!! I have two 1up arcade cabinets and a 1up pinball in my game room. I play them more than all the other stuff I have in there. I enjoy them

@@The_Bad_Guy. Street Fighter Yoga Flame, Golden Ax Revenge of Death Ader, Attack from Mars virtual pinball... Pool table, darts, mini Basketball, foosball, ping ball, skee ball, and air hockey table. Got a bar too but I don't drink, lol

Thank you very much! I'm fortunate to have the space where I can buy what I want. But there's definitely no shame in only having the space for a few. I know a bunch of guys who only have the space for like 4-5 and have sick setups. Also that's where the multicade is sometimes a good idea too. Thanks for watching!
I need to do an in depth tour. I liked hearing about the upgrades you’ve made! Also funny hearing about projects that get delayed time & time again , knowing I’m not alone😂. Each year our minicades get better incrementally🤏

@TheBadGuyMike hope so. Think will get a good mix of new titles (hopefully Robotron/Smash T.V., AvsP, Wrestlefest, Sega Spiderman, etc) and the usual re-releases in the Deluxe and XL form factor. Think 2024 will be a good year for the home arcade space

It stinks that you have to defend owning any machine. I don't care what anyone says, Arcade1Up's, to me, are real arcade machines, just consumer grade vs. commercial grade. The main question to answer is, are you happy with what you've got? If the answer is yes, then it really doesn't matter what others think :)
I feel VPin is essential to any great home arcade. I picked up the Arcade1Up Attack From Mars and luckily Team Encoder, along with Kongs R Us's tutorial, I was able to expand it to over 120 tables. The softmod, though lots of steps, was easy enough without having to do anything with the hardware, which was perfect for me :)
It's crazy to hear that your first video was a game room tour. That's how I started as well! I LOVE these Home Arcade tours and thank you for sharing yours with us!

Nice room bro. I started out with multiple cabinets, but moved to a city apartment and went high end vpin, fully stocked out rec room masters cabinet, and then consoles hooked up to a 83inch LGC2OLED. All fits nice in my gameroom/living room since I don't have a spare "arcade room" to be able to create something like yours. But that's why this hobby is great, we all have our own different arcade setups. I like the fact your room isn't cluttered. Sometimes I feel like people put to much stuff into a basement etc. So good job. 👍
Thanks man! Yeah I figured since I had the space I could buy multiple cabinets. But if I was in a smaller house or apartment I would definitely go the route you took. @The_Bad_Guy. oh thanks bro, I actually started it up and got a bunch of subs and was uploading videos constantly (never edited anything) every video is just one shot using a cell phone lol I still to this day don't know how to really use OBS etc. So I basicslly took a whole year off from uploading videos. I just posted my first video in a long time lol. I'm more into modding stuff, and building game rooms, seeing what people have done to make their game rooms etc. Just like guys have car shows and they show off what they have done, I like seeing what other gamers have created as their "game room" or "man cave" whatever. To me that's the fun part is everyone has different things. You get the haters , but I was at the point where I just ignored the trolls. Lol to me I love tech, building pc's etc. So I'll build one and I like talking about parts and stuff , boring to most people lol but it's why it's a hobby , it's cool talking about ideas on what cool thing can we come up with next. You'll always have the person in your comments saying, your wasting your money etc. As soon as someone says that you know they aren't really into the hobby. I build $5k gaming pc's to play RTS games because out of my thousands of games that's what I actually sit down and still play for hours on my pc. Lol 😆 🤣 I like hearing the arcades on in the backround though while I'm playing , I'll turn on my machines even if I'm on the couch playing on my steam deck or rog ally. Lol

The editing process is overwhelming sometimes. It can take forever just to create an 8 minute video. But once you see the views and comments come in it makes it all worth it I guess haha.

I definitely HAVE TO EDIT, I just didn't lol my videos are terrible quality , I just grabbed alot of subs so quick because I was one of the first people modding The atgames pinball table when it came out, and hacks etc. Then I built my own vpin and spent a summer making videos of that, but again same terrible filming , no editing . I have no clue what I even need to edit or I would start making videos again . Software etc wise.
I feel so slighted that I wasn't mentioned man. You know it really hurts deep down inside. j/k man. Awesome game room and yes those are arcade machines. And to be real all arcade machines and video game consoles are toys. And there is nothing wrong with that man!

Dude that trip down memory lane was the best part. I remember when I lurked I watched Dan, Fox, and this little known guy with like 40 subs named pd7 lol. Yes Rangus likes to pretend he knows best but we see right through him haha. Its kind of sad I had to say at the beginning about the haters trying to say these things don't make a real game room but I know how people are! Where'd you get your tmnt lit marquee?
Ehh unfortunately I have no idea. I was so new to all this when I bought that back in 2019 I didn't think it would evolve into this. So I never thought to save where I got it because I never expected to buy any more. I don't think that shop exists any more though because I've been trying to find them ever since. The marquee is really nice. The fact it has the konami logo instead of Nickelodeon makes it even better haha. Sorry I couldn't answer your question. I really wish I knew.
Who gives a shit what others think? Do they who judge you pay your bills or feed you? Personally looks cool to me. It's more than I have. Personally you a claw machine, gumball machine and skeeball thing in there. Congrats and I realize you probably don't have room for my suggestions.
Oh I don't care what they think haha I just wanted to address them because I know they will come. But you're right all those are great suggestions. My kid would love a claw machine. We have a little one he has in his room but a bigger one would be really cool. Same with ski ball. I could probably get the wife down in the gameroom more with that haha. But you nailed it on the head, space is always going to be the biggest thing holding myself and most of us back from buying everything. I really don't want to branch out to other rooms of the house, but I do have options for expansion if and when it comes to that. Thanks for watching!
