As with all of FORESTELLA's reinterpretations, Bohemian Rhapsody retains the essence of the original yet adds their own flavor and makes the song their own. For me the best cover version so far and at the same time a homage to the original.

I had same reaction as you with this guy KHH. At first what? he is soft then he changed his voice as rocker, then he could change right away as female Soprano too. He is better than a lot of female singer in high pitch note voice. Kang Hyung ho has 4 octaves roller coaster singing ability even though that he was not a professional singer until he was 30 yrs old. He used to be Chemical engineer in Petro oil corporate lab. And the other two guys were planning to be the Opera singer. They majored Opera singing in top notch University.
1 another guy who you refer with sad voice who can sing with a lot of emotion since he is a musical actor. 4 of them had the different direction of their life but one audition made them to be the team to compete with other groups. From then they are together and they give me the joy everyday. I am addicted to them now. Thank you for your vocal coach perspective point of view of reviewing them. They need professional analysis like you.
Wow, nice insight you have! But just one little thing I add, Cho MinGyu has a unbroken-yet record of the youngest joined member in Seoul Metropolitan Opera before his military service. He actually worked as an opera singer and had gotten the biggest applause despite he played a sub-role.

FYI, the original singer of Je suis malade is Serge Lama however Forestella sang it as an homage for Lara Fabian's version. It notes in the lyrics with terms in feminine form (orpheline, heureuse). Serge Lama posted his praises about this stage on his official SNS. (Twitter, IG, FB).

FORESTELLA is very versatile and all their covers are very creative, ambitious and outstanding. But their original m/v "SAVE OUR LIVES" and "UTOPIA" (the latest), as Part of a trilogy (III not realized yet), are on a completely different level. Stylistically completely different, they can show their really unique skills here.
Both videos are acoustic and cinematic masterpieces and a MUST SEE. (These videos will not be blocked - Label tolerates it)

There is no problem with kang Hyungho ‘s hearing. He is only known to have very sensitive hearing.

With that phrase, I was wondering if the stage *environment* was difficult = often the monitors etc modify the space sound (the room we are singing in) so that it is harder to sing because it is very different from the rehearsal space our ears are used to. :)
@@annavaskelainen You probably have both the difficulties of stage space and the difficulty of using in-ear monitors. Depending on the space, there are times when your voice does not monitor well, and if you set the in-ear monitor value to the volume of the rock voice, it may not fit well when using the soprano head voice.
That's why he uses specially designed in-ear monitors. When he sings on stage, he sings with fine adjustments through a special monitor.
He has more fine-tuned control when he harmonizes than when he sings solo.
This is because harmony is broken if the pitch is not well matched.😊

He is good at catching even the slightest sound incongruity, and he is active as a vocal director because he knows how to bring out good voices by analyzing each member's voice. Regarding the question asked in another post: Does the world need cover versions? Definitely yes!!! What is meant is not simple imitation, you can confidently stick to the original. Do you have any idea how many songs have already been reinterpreted on the music market? I guess at least half and most listeners are not even aware of this. A new version can reach groups with completely different tastes in music, generate different emotions, produce new sound impressions and so on... That's called musical diversity and enrichment. AND THIS IS ONE OF FORESTELLA'S GOALS. And that's not exactly easy either, because you're being compared and the critic is relentless. However, if you are musically very committed to one genre or artist, this is acceptable, but then you shouldn't listen to the covers.

I would recommend trying to get rid of that flicker from your camera because the flicker is tiresome to look at and it also wastes a lot of video compression bandwidth. As you seem to be recording 60 Hz, I would guess you have 50 Hz lighting which flickers and the sync differences between 50 Hz and 60 Hz cause the flicker. I think the only proper fixes are non-flickering lighting or lighting that has flicker frequency that's multiple of 60 Hz. Avoid cheap led lights that have cheap PSU that causes the led elements to flicker according to the grid frequency.

Yeah good performance. But what is so good about their performance ? Just another Bohemian Rhapsody. Yes, from skilled korean singern, but who needs this ?
Why do you think there are many coversongs of great music? The coversongs present beauty and charm differentiated from the original songs to music lovers. While listening to Forestella's music, I was comforted in a difficult time mentally, and I still feel happy listening to their music. because my weary soul can rest in their beautiful harmony. Now I will answer your question. Their music is what I desperately need.
I only know this wonderful quartet crossover group about a month(I am fairly new with this group). During last holiday I over worked. 6 days working for 2 consecutive weeks. I was shot to go to bed. And Forestella popped up on TH-cam. Decided just listen to the songs to go to sleep by closing my eyes. But I was right awake and up until 2:30 AM for two consecutive nights. I felt so excited to find this group so I could not even go to sleep. From that moment I am addicted to this group. I used to be in Quartet chorus during high school so I guess I was hooked with this group right away.
you answered your own question. people who like listening to skilled korean singers. btw these aren't just simply skilled singers but a basso profondo opera singer, a leggiero tenor opera singer, a musical actor and a freak of nature who didn't have professional training before the group formed but is a completely natural sopranist. basso profondo and leggiero tenor are 2 very rare vocal types. and a countertenor/sopranist who comes by his voice naturally? not even dimash did that!
