Hey Everyone. Q&A Video is coming next week. My laptop was stolen last week and I've been a bit frantic trying to reformat all my software and files onto a new computer. Sorry for the delay...
So very heart warming. The arrangements are beautiful. A touch of class. Today, is the First Sunday in Advent You represent more than just the ray of hope, as the Star of Bethlehem beckons. God Bless and Stay Healthy , Dear Jacob
Holy Cow! Thank you for noticing my comment... so I have a question if I may, how do you manage to play such different rhythms on each hand without any trip-up? It’s astonishingly amazing
That's the kind of thing I've dedicated years of practice to. Keeping a steady groove with my LH while my RH improvises freely. It's not easy in the beginning but like most things you can train yourself to do it.
Jacob Koller / The Mad Arranger that’s so amazing, I’m really wanting to look into beginning piano just to hopefully one day work to be half that good, at the moment I sing and play the alto sax... but it’s people like you who inspire me to pursue music all the more. Thank you so much for all the dedication and emotion you put into things. I can see how much work you’ve put into this, and it has payed off. I was taken back by your La La Land works. Mia and Sebastian’s theme was truly a wonder. My friends were so amazed when I showed them hahaha. Thanks for showing how amazing music truly is.
Thankyou Jacob, this is just what I needed to hear on 1st December as my first christmas music of the year! Amazing and added to my christmas playlist :)
Question for your Q&A video: Do you find necessary to study jazz theory in order to reharmonize melodies properly? I am looking forward to improvise famous songs, but have no idea where to start. Can you give me some advice? But what happened to the Q&A video?
Question for Q and A: How should a beginner approach learning and progressing in jazz without being overwhelmed by advanced stuff? And even after I learn the theory how can I implement it in my playing? Thanks!
I absolutely love it man trust me coming from a guy that does rarely comment on TH-cam...I also play piano a lot of jazz of course but I’ve learned so much from your videos keep them coming
@@JacobKollerMusic Please do! I just discovered your Channel and I love your approach to harmony. And you also have great technique. I'm also a big fan of Bill Evans. I bet you could do him justice :P
Hey. Greetings from Poland. I’ve got a questions for Q&A video: 1. I’m about to start recording mine piano performances. I am the owner of high quality Roland stage piano. But I’m concerned about how to record it. Do you recommend any software to record through MIDI or should I use record it via stage piano directly onto flash drive? Another thing is how to sync video with audio. 2. Do you recommend any book to study jazz harmony? I am a classical pianist with I think good knowledge of music theory, but I wish to understand jazz harmony better. I know that improvisation and the “feeling” of music is the most important in jazz but I would like to learn the basics of jazz harmony, scales etc and then start finding my own way into jazz. I would be grateful if you answer this question. Thank you!
I started with 0 followers. It takes time but if people connect with what you do they will respond. Anyway, don't worry about subs as much as having fun making music.
Great vid as always! I made a very short cover of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas after hearing yours. I'd be honoured if you could please give me some feedback!
Holy shit, you are a really talented Pianist ! :) Thumps up and subbed ! I'm glad that I've found your channel :) I have also some Piano Covers on my channel :) Feel free to check them out :)

でもどんなクリスマスの雰囲気も
いつになっても好きである、
世界中幸せに包まれる美しい時期
What a great balance between old school jazz sounds and more modern harmonies!

Beautiful! Where can I buy this arrangement. - I'll be home for Christmas - Bossa Nova version.
Wonderful arrangement!
Any plans to play a music of Bill Evans?
It will be great if you will make a video by playing one of his melodies.
I've thought about doing Waltz for Debby but it's a big undertaking.

Question for Q&A:
How has living in Japan influenced your particular sound or taste in music? if it has at all
Wow amazing! Lots of passion! I don't know, maybe I should do the same on my channel but I don't have any followers so it wouldn't make any sense...
I started with 0 followers. It takes time but if people connect with what you do they will respond. Anyway, don't worry about subs as much as having fun making music.
Question for the Q and A: who were some of your biggest inspirations?
Thanks for the question!

Impossible to buy the sheet in dollars.
