In December of 2017 we celebrated the great Drew Struzan with a concert I produced with the Golden State Pops Orchestra at UCLA's Royce Hall, in Westwood, CA. The Magnificent Movie Poster World of Drew Struzan. We also presented Drew with the Artistic Impact Award. Steven Spielberg was unable to attend due to shooting, but recorded the special video we showed that evening following our presentation of the award to Drew and prior to a live performance of John Williams' The Throne Room and End Title from Star Wars as the final or the concert. Raiders of the Lost Ark was also performed earlier.
Here we are in 2020 and Drew Struzan is being inducted into the Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame! A long overdue honor for this artistic legend! Congratulations always, to the great Drew Struzan! - Robert Townson
