An issue my wife pointed out with the game that is definitely true for me as well is that although there is an amazing atmosphere, there’s no explorable environment to go along with it. This makes it harder to get immersed in the world, and greatly reduces the connection you can have with your characters. All while costing the same as Genshin which is way too expensive.
That’s assuming you pay money. If you’re free to play, perhaps it’s more worth it. However I’m not sure how generous the ongoing rewards will be once the permanent ones run out so I don’t know if we can speak to that yet

My favourite thing about it is that there are NO ARTIFACTS. That means no infinite gamble grind based on luck. Its still a lot of farming but much more bearable because you exactly get what you farm for

I fell in love with the story by the time the second chapter got about halfway through. I've found a few of the 5-stars are actually quite good, including Bkornblume (the plant-alignment girl in blue you got, she's actually busted.) I think treating this like a game you're playing mostly casually for the story is probably the best bet, as I'm not sure how the grind will shake out in the long run, but honestly it feels like it'll absolutely be worth signing in from time to time for story updates.
I have found the combat DOES open up a bunch in the middle-to-late game, but like all Gachas the resources required to build more than a few characters definitely begin to start choking you.

I really like the look of this game but tbh I don't think I can maintain any more than 3 gachas at a time

Been playing this since launch, personally i like it very much.story is really really good and the OSTs are fantastic I play it casually and there's not much of a daily grind but what i would say to anyone who is interested is to play it slowly and let the characters and story grow in you & part 2 heats up the story so yeah :).As a F2P Player this game is very rewarding

    I'm actually really enjoying it!
I'm in love with the aesthetic choices. It looks like anime, but it doesn't sound or feel like it. Obviously because it doesn't take place in a stereotypical anime/japanese-like setting.
The combat is like a fun puzzle minigame. The special effects are gorgeous. And I agree with the chibi style sprites during combat, wish it was more realistic. But since the 3D backdrops and special effects are on point, I can overlook it.
As for your pulled characters (according to general consensus) - Bkorneblume is top tier/meta. She gives so much reality defense shred and can seal ultimates, very good pull. Regulus is good DPS/Support. Good damage dealing, Action point friendly, ultimate can grant immunity to normal attacks, and can be later used as a psuedo healer with the right equipment.
I think the general consensus of the best 6* go: Eternity > Regulus > Lilya. I would say Regulus is the more consistent of the two (Eternity does big damage but at the cost of her HP and Lilya is a selfish crit DPS that needs proper support characters) But all 3 are good in their own right!

im also a person that really value immersion in my games. Reverse 1999 imo has one of the most best presented story telling with its fully voice acted story and great use of sprites, where it really makes you feel whats actually happening in the story being told. Now, my problem is similar to yours, as in its chibi models. I really want to get into this game but sadly im not fully convinced with its ingame character models.

It’s a really good for casual play, considering you get this games version of Primos for completing stages for the first time and for some character bond levels. Plus the replay level feature is a godsend if you want to grind for dust and stuff, and you can complete up to 4 times in one run if you have the stamina.
Also the Portray menu is where your cons are, cause you do have a con for Sweetheart and the the story also gives you Sonetto cons the more you complete the story.
Edit: Forgot to add, but also one thing I think I’ll like about this more than Genshin is that people have said that limited characters will be put into the standard banner after about 3 patches or so based on the Chinese server. So I’m excited cause it means “losing 50/50s” will just mean getting characters I missed the limited run on in the future.

Although I love the game a lot, my problem is UI, and you accidentally showed it too. You got a copy of Sweetheart. You clicked character profile and then ok, there is a level, seems familiar, there is Insight, what is that? probably some ascension passives from Genshin. Ok, what is Portray? Why it was named like that? It's almost like it's easy to miss if you got a copy. And where can I look what weapon I use for my waifu?
The naming of everything is weird.

Don't stress out! You can play it super casual and see if it grows on you. Try to enjoy the story at your own pace because it's pretty good.
Your pulls are actually great because you've already got a top-tier DPS, top-tier Support, and top-tier Healer.
Bkornblume is a top-tier support even until late game. Regulus (British 6 star character) is a solid DPS/sub-dps. Once you ascend Regulus (Insight 1), she wants to sit out every other round to gain a 50% crit rate boost, so she's an interesting character to play. You can pair her with Bkornblume to alternate damage rounds. The synergy isn't perfect, because Bkornblume buffs reality damage, and Regulus does mental damage, but Bkornblume also provides a +15% dmg taken buff.
You'll really want a healer and you have some options. First of all, you have one of the top-tier healers, Balloon Party (the creepy girl). Yeah, she's creepy, but she's very good. She heals well and provides a counter-attack mechanic. If you don't want to use her, you can try using Dikke, which is a free 5 star DPS/Healer you will get if you log in for 8 days. Or you can try and make Apple work.
Hope you play through the story at least and give it some more time. Really enjoy your Genshin and HSR content and would love to see some content from you on this game!

I'm just treating it as a casual side game I play every now and then for the story (which is really good) but I'm nowhere near as in invested into it as genshin or star rail.
definitely a really polished gacha game to pass the time on though, I like playing through on my lunch breaks at work.

  • @andr0zzsenpai

This game will definitely be just "play for the story" type of game for me... meaning I won't fully invest myself in it. Also, I got really lucky and got Regulus on my first 10 pull so that definitely helped!

  • @giuba98
    @giuba98 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

I doubt you are still playing this but yes, Bkornblume is OP 😂 probably the best 5* in the game
I read that you don't like your 6* voice lines so maybe you stopped playing ahah, but if you want to come back don't feel pushed to have to use 6* characters, the "abyss" of this game can be done with only 4* units and there is no RNG in building units. You also don't need to pull for weapons (psycubes) because they give them for free (events or farming+time).
I think you're right that the lack of exploration is sad, but this game is very low time spending (this can also be a "cons" because the content can be consumed pretty fast if you do it as soon as it drops).
The character design, story, world building and aesthetic are the best part of it imo (the main story still doesn't have more chapters but every patch has an event eith a story, I enjoyed a lot all of the events story and many puzzle minigames). I like battle very much too, there are two end game modes, they are also listening a lot to us gamers (for example there are some translation adaptation errors and they're fixing it + hiring better people for it, they also fix issues very fasy and aren't stingy with rewards lol).

Yep, I feel similar. The style, the card battling and the voice-acting all seem great so I was excited to give the game a shot, but the combat aesthetics are just a HUGE turn-off.
Not *really* looking to get sucked into another live service grind either, so I'll give this one a pass.

Eh, not impressed with the 2D chibi card based combat, and whacky character design. This one's an easy skip for me. Some of the out of combat art looks quite nice though, and full voice over is always a plus.

Love the aesthetic but i'm the same I really cannot stand chibi avatars, it feels very lazy and out of place. FGO does 2D char models how they should be done imo.

People were praising english voice acting to much, but IMO - it's mid. They voices sound annoyed and lacking in emotion expressing. Japanese one is way better
