With their much improved defense and the motivation of how last year ended, this team is gonna be a buzz saw this year. They'll be the 1 seed without a doubt. I'm feeling a 14, 15 win year. They're absolutely stacked these days. Thanks Brad!!

Brad Holmes will be stacking his practice squad player roster with quality players. He has the money to keep quality veterans on the practice squad to elevate to the game roster a couple times during the year. Lions will be stacked this year.
It's crazy how they have been able to build a solid practice squad and depth roster. Also, how they have drafted well.
Hear, hear! Call it out loud and say it often, brother. Absolutely nothing that you said was off the mark in any way. This team has zero bad vibes, zero drama, a top-5 roster and almost all the best players are in their first four seasons. The GM is a savant (and has been since before he got the job), and the coach is one of the best leaders you will ever know of in your entire life.
Be chesty. Be confident. Don't worry about anything until January.
Some fans are apprehensive because 60 years of Lucy pulling the ball away will do that to ya, simple case of conditioning. Other people are only happy when they are miserable and peek happiness for them is being able to say "I told ya so" to fans who want to believe. Screw them, they aren't worth the energy it takes to lift your eyes to respond to them. Me, I'm all in. Why not this year? That loss in the NFC Championship was a crusher but sometimes a team needs to experience a crusher to get that nasty edge. Like the Wings setting the record for most points in a season then getting dumped in six by the Avalanche in the Western Conference Finals. Then there's the Pistons blowing it against the Celtics when Isiah threw the inbounds pass to Bird at the Garden. I remember that one especially well because I was sitting at an airport bar in Logan watching that go down. Talk about a kick in the balls. But what happened the next season for both of those clubs? They went onto the finals.
Coach hasn't been afraid since he got here and his team reflects that. Holmes drafts who he wants when he wants experts be damned. We got a castoff QB, a star receiver who lasted until the fourth round because the experts said he was too small and too slow, a RB who has a chance to become the next Marshall Faulk, a guy out to prove those same experts who said was picked too high wrong and bunch of role players who were too old, too slow, too dim, all of them playing with chips. The Lions are the island of misfit toys and you know what, they are built for the role.
I've said it before, they remind me of the Ben Wallace Pistons, lunch-pail guys who just go to work game in and game out and now they expect to win. The division is absolutely tougher but so are the Lions. Hang on kids, this is might be a bit of a rollercoaster as these new pieces, especially in the defensive backfield, get used to each other, but I believe come January, come winnin time, these guys are gonna come ready to ball and they will bite the kneecap of any sumbitch who gets between them and their Milk Bone. Believe that.
Detroit seems unbeatable right now
DET in '22 finished a Top 5 Offense overall. With Ben not the OC by Labor Day, T.J. gone before Thanksgiving, Jamo out, Sam & Jamyr not here. That's what an elite OL gets you, i know i never seen it before on 8 Mile Rd. either. That's why its always OL, DL in the 1st Rd. Draft Pick for me.
This is a team the lions may have never had before. They are different. The thing for me is when will the next unforeseen thing happen. A face mask bounce, a bad call. These are the things that has happened to the lions so many times. That's what worries me. Sol is gone this team is not that.
Its the Gm and Head Coach. As long as they are there this team will be a Winner 3 superbowls by 2030

97.1 was the ones that needed to get rid of the SOL. I haven’t felt that way for 2 years or more. We finally have a great front office GM and coaching staff. Brad Holmes knows what he’s doing.
Theses Coaches know how to develop players. That’s huge.
Instead of saying chesty, just say you're moist about the Lions. Both make us cringe as much.
San Francisco got older Detroit got better. I don’t see how they are a better football team coming into this season.
I guess the reason why some Lions fans still can’t get over SOL because the Lions have had these runs before where we went to the NFC Championship once in the 90’s and never went back there until now
