Why is everyone hating on the chorus vocals? It was different than rest of the vocals of the song and kept the song fresh and dynamic. i liked it nonetheless.
Because metal fans fear change and want the same thing over and over again. Until we get just that. Then we bitch about how stale the band has become. PROGRESS!!!!
I love when they use their cleans. On the first listens though, the tonality and rhythm of it just felt weird to me. Nothing about it being clean. But it has already grown a lot on me.
because those are people who are uncultured simpletons who would decry an instrumentally technical song over something less fundamental like vocals, revocation is as interesting and technical as ever but i feel alot of people do not appreciate it as they cannot comprehend instrumental technicalities.
I don't know why people are complaining about the chorus. It sounds killer! It has a mix between Fear Factory and Dave Padden era Annihilator type of vibe to it.
I think the chorus singing adds a certain dark atmosphere with it's drone like singing and minor harmonization. Sometimes that can be even more powerful than even the most br00talest of growlz or screams. Also Dan sounds so good with his vocals at the end!
this has been a thing since the beginning of metal! Iron Maiden is a good example, their music is almost exclusively about fantasy/horror/scifi fiction with much reference to lovecraft
New drummer is good, but I think Phil Dubois is more creative. Killer song, can't wait to get the whole album, everyone of them is better than the previous
y’all what song does the intro lead melody remind me of? it’s right on the tip of my tongue but just out of reach and it’s driving me mad. love this song and the chorus, btw 🖤
+CrazyEddi3 well what do you say they are? Because i only hear them being labeled as death metal or progressive death metal. they do like fucking with time signatures.
+steve veilleux Fair point, honestly gun to my head I'd say thrash/death. when I hear 'DM' I think of Immolation, Suffo and the like, Rev have this ongoing thrash framework, I know Dan's in Artificial Brain, but this is way more loose.
+CrazyEddi3 holy damn! i totally forgot they are thrash death. that was actually what originally got me into them what the thrash death aspect as well as the bit of prog they toss in there. forgive me, I'm kinda stoned
I hate when people bitch about a song like they have a misconception that they own a band or have some input in the creative process. dude you're just a fan, if you don't like what they do either suck it up and get used to it or follow some other band that fits your taste/preference
There are parents that like break their kids bones and leave them in basements for 40 years. There is an example of monolithic ignorance. My mother WOULD NEVER.
This band cannot make a bad song, period. I am so lucky to call them a hometown band! Boston's blessed with the best in metal.
Why is everyone hating on the chorus vocals? It was different than rest of the vocals of the song and kept the song fresh and dynamic. i liked it nonetheless.
Because some people just want growling nonstop. I personally really liked the chorus. Kinda reminded me of Fear Factory.

Spot on. Definitely brings a cool dynamic. I liked it.
God, the solo section... chills dude. Thanks Dave and the boys, keeping metal alive and innovating at the same time.
Yes, YES!!! This whole track rules. I love the common tone modulations in the first riff and yes, that solo is crazy awesome.
I dont hear the common tone, where is it?
I don't know why people are complaining about the chorus. It sounds killer! It has a mix between Fear Factory and Dave Padden era Annihilator type of vibe to it.
Annihilator
that chorus riff along with the vocals go so well together imo, never knew people complained about it
THAT SOLO. Holy shit, man. Revocation definitely hasn't lost a beat.
Revocation lyrics prove nothing's more metal than real life
Revocation are the underdogs. Their ever evolving non-compromising sound, is enough to explain that this majesty isn’t for everyone.
This song is incredibly well written, the flow from the solo section to the end is a masterpiece.
Dan's vocals at the end are amazing. That part always gives me chills
yup! that part gets me hyped as fuck
Dan Gargiulo is fucking awesome, all his songs at Revocation are sick af.
Best band currently out there. Everything they put out is outstanding
The Black Dahlia Murder though.
eurologic They all have girlfriends.
TBDM are good but they are far from being innovative.
Jari The Sauna Lover
Skill level trumps innovation.
Couldn't have a better day!!!! The band gets better with every album :)Keep up the good work!
02:34 that's so BRILLIANT! That riffs gave me shiver, no doubt that Dave Davidson is a fucking genius!
Actually, this is one of the two songs on the record that's been written by Dan Gargiulo, so both of 'em are effing genius!
yeah, that riff sounds very Gargiulo like(artificial brain)
Awesome, so excited for the new album!
I like how Revocation always makes the album covers fit the music on that album so well.
I think the chorus singing adds a certain dark atmosphere with it's drone like singing and minor harmonization. Sometimes that can be even more powerful than even the most br00talest of growlz or screams. Also Dan sounds so good with his vocals at the end!
For those tech- death metal fans... check out FIRST FRAGMENT-DASEIN... it is so fucking fresh and groovy, tons of classical influence.
Great Album.
Revocation is one of the best bands out there. Solo is amazing and the clean vocals give the song an extra dimension. Re-Animaniacs unite!
You gentlemen never fail to deliver
I loved the lyrics and nedless to say the song is written beautifully. I'm really excited about this album!
AWESOME!!
Revocation never disappoints \m/
First I've heard of Revocation, but definitely not the last!! Awesome track.
listen to Chaos of Forms
Enter the Hall = the greatest intro to an album, ever. 2 minutes well worth it
Am i the only one who sees a looooot of lovecraft inspiration in metal recently?
Recently?!
Because Lovecraft is fucking badass
Check out Madness Opus by Revocation. It's inspired by The Music of Erich Zann.
this has been a thing since the beginning of metal! Iron Maiden is a good example, their music is almost exclusively about fantasy/horror/scifi fiction with much reference to lovecraft
You may just now be noticing it but it's definitely not recent. It's been a pretty consistent theme with metal going back over 30 years or more now.
Clean vocal parts are amazing
the outro is so rich and atmospheric
they just get better and better
New drummer is good, but I think Phil Dubois is more creative. Killer song, can't wait to get the whole album, everyone of them is better than the previous
i love the vocals very modern yet perfect with the style
The chorus is so jarring, I love it, weird rhythms and great heavy riffing behind it. Don't know how some revocation fans don't dig it
Exactly
+Metal In The Blood fuck yeah
Makes me cry! I dont want that to happen to our earth ❤
Well written musically & lyrically.
Love hearing Dave's beastly voice
Great album!
that solo is fuggin awesome
Holy fuck this is amazing
y’all what song does the intro lead melody remind me of? it’s right on the tip of my tongue but just out of reach and it’s driving me mad. love this song and the chorus, btw 🖤
Brutal como siempre!!!
awesome!
such dissonant chords and dat solo so powerful
holy solo
First listen of this band. I'm down.
***** nice man. Thanks. I'm definitely going to check it all out.
+TheBadSpoon truer words were never spoken.
You should start with their Teratogenesis EP, I think it's the best thing they have done. That being said all their album are really good.
listen to unatained by revocatio . your welcome
no one can deny a revocation solo, but what about this one section 2:55 the picking along with the bass in the background, it just sounds so wicked
Goddamn that Bass guitar cuts through so Damm well.
This song is fucking epic !!! Can't wait to see them on Brutal Assault.
They never disappoint. \m/
What a great song I love it
Whait, what? This liryc video was created by As I Lay Dying guitar player??
It's almost as if Wayne Static had a hand in the chorus vocals. Dope.
Revocation Kicks Ass!!!
3:30-End absolutely my favorite ending.
Never heard of this band before, I'm just here to appreciate the dope ass video.
Holy fuck! You are missing out on some killer death metal, my friend. Check these guys out if you like what you hear.
+steve veilleux Eh death metal is pushing it.
Fuck yeah this is an amazing song!
Great song and meaning. Metal album of the year?
Wormed called they want a word with you, Gorguts too.
Haha true, the new Gorguts album was great. Not sure about Wormed though. Heard good things, are they worth a listen?
+aser mostafa If you can stand inhales they are operating on a level well above most bands. Probably their most technical to date.
terminal redux by vektor holds that title right now
Those worms are sick! Great Song.
The new album is going to be progresiv and technical and amazing
100% METAL!!!
Galera, oque é isso? um Death Thrash Prog Metal ?
Guys, is this a Death Thrash Prog Meal?
Apaixonado por essa banda
muito bom
Those who have apple music can find this as well as Communion available. Enjoy!
That's blast beat at the end though holy shit
animated by nick hipa? the same nick hipa from As I Lay Dying/ Wovenwar?
Yes
Thats what I was thinking too but I forgot to ask lol
David Davidson can pull anything off man....He even does a good job at including clean vocals without making it gay.
True.
God I love this part 0:47 - 1:06
God I love this part 0:00 - 4:34
Gottem
The chorus vocals remind me of Intronaut.
FFUUUKKKKK THIS SLAPPSS HARD TODAY!!!!!!!
FUCK, REVOCATION IS ONE OF THE BEST BANDS TO EVER EXIST!
fuck yeaaaaah!!! this is fucking awesome!!!!
The intro is rammed in my brain.
My feelings on the entire second half of the song
Holy Fucking Fuck... I have felt sorry for every band ever having to play after Revocation
jesus fuck i came
I came twice.
DANG.
2:24 DAYUUUUUUUUUM
The bass is gonna be strong in this record.
I, for one, miss Alex's contributions to the album
The chorus felt a bit weird to me. But the verse riffing, solo and second half of the song was stunning!
But a chorus nonetheless :P
Exact same thoughts
sounds like Linkin Park helped the with the chorus. Rest is great though.
cant wait ''till you make a cover bro!
i think it will grow after a few listens
Sybreed chorus :)
This fucking slays!!!!!!!!
Dig it.
I hate when people bitch about a song like they have a misconception that they own a band or have some input in the creative process. dude you're just a fan, if you don't like what they do either suck it up and get used to it or follow some other band that fits your taste/preference
THOSE WHO SOUGHT TO RULE THIS REALM
HAVE ONLY MEDDLED WITH IT
Damn that's a spicy meatball
fucking epic
There are parents that like break their kids bones and leave them in basements for 40 years. There is an example of monolithic ignorance. My mother WOULD NEVER.
new drummer has passed the test. welcome to Revocation!!
fuck yeah!
The chorus has to be napalm death inspired! Lmao great fucking song
The song is god tier as always with Revocation, but god that chorus.... I hope it is the only song of the album in which Dave sings like this..
It's awesome tho
DEDICATED TO FUKUSHIMA
March 2011 never foeget
dat bass
Riffs feel kinda Wretched-ish, solo is pretty cool, not so sure about the chorus vocals tho. Probably a grower song.
That's what i thought when i first listens to this band some years ago
So, is no one gonna talk about Dan's vocals at the end of the song? They're so sick.
So sick. I get chills with that part
Best part of the song. So sick.
fuck yea.
Damn, add Will Smith and it's pretty much an Artificial Brain song, which is a good thing
Yeah Dan wrote this.
Everything is amazing! But 1:08 to 1:22 is just too weird
