Hey guys! This episode of GBNF was made from suggestions from fans who emailed us demanding this show be covered in this series. If you want to make suggestions for future episodes of GBNF then e-mail GBNFSeries@gmail.com and maybe we’ll cover your show!
I remember this show, John Cryer in "Two And A Half Men," Andrew McCarthy in "Kingdom Hospital l," and Demi Moore in "Charlie's Angels 2" being the resurrection of the Brat Pack in 2003.
This is still my favorite King book and movie adaptation. Although i have a soft spot for Maximum Overdrive! Along with "The Handmaides Tale" this story has been on my mind lately
I remember one bit where Johnny is buying JJ a birthday gift. First he picks up a rock polishing kit. Then has a vision of his disappointment. He then looks at a little kids toy archery set. Bruce says he does not need Johnny's vision to know that is a bad idea. Then Johnny picks up a skateboard. The goes "definitely a helmet too."
I remember Anthony Michael Hall had to drop out of that role because it turned out he had schizo-affective disorder and I guess had a psychotic episode halfway thru. Then the studio tried to sue him cuz he hadn't disclosed his condition. Tho idk the legalities of that, I always thought you 'conditions' are medically private but at the same time if you have a mental condition that might not be the best acting role to take on.
I didn't know this show was popular, I never heard of it, I happened to have paramount+ and found it there and was hook instantly, unfortunately from season 04 it went downhill, it became so slow, and too religious too, I haven't finish the show yet, but what a let down knowing it never properly end.
The book is a classic, the movie with Christopher Walken is an excellent cut-down version of the novel. But I thought the TV series was a horrible abomination if - like me - you're a fan of the book. AMH and the rest of the cast were excellent, but the liberties taken with the characters and the story ruined it for me. Ludicrous that Sarah married Sheriff Bannerman, for a start. 🙄

Wow! Great interview! I really enjoyed the show. John L Adams played one of my favorite characters in the show.

It was cancelled because of the writers strike .
I watched this show during covid because they predicted HCQ 😂 Crazy times
Yes.
Hmmm... Interesting choice to release today.
I think a lot of people could use a Jesse Shade and David Arroyo video to cheer them up today.
Do you have a version without the interviews? It kills the momentum dead every time.
I actually like the show better than the movie
Same for me. Anthony Michael Hall’s performance was wonderful.

Still worth it, there are some really great episodes ahead.
Interesting timing you guys have….but considering what we’re going through today, I don’t mind so much.
